While I have been in a commissioned US submarine, it was actually rather pleasant. But that was a much bigger boat…speaking of boats…and claustrophobia…I used to do work inside the plenary dust control conveyor tubes of a petroleum coke storage and loading operation… there it was hot, and sometimes freezing, and always dripping with condensation, and nothing was level, and the greasy coke powder penetrated and coated every surface…and it was pretty dark…but back to AHH’s remarks about boats …see…https://youtu.be/iIsNfulxZcc?t=187 Making the movie… What’s not mentioned is that the submarine they had built that actually floated, about 100 plus feet long – or something like that, just a surface boat, actually broke in half during shooting—and sank!
