From post about “seven times more energy”” from wind….the claim is misleading,  7 x the Betz limit of 59.3% would violate fundamental accepted principles. It it not (probably) possible. Betz may be perhaps violated, that would be nice and might be possible, ahdunno, but it not possible to exceed 100%. Getting past Betz would be astonishing. “Conventional” machines seldom exceed 70 to 80% of Betz. Maybe, imho, the new design  reaches 90% and is more robust, safer, cheaper per kwh, and more protean in turbulence and low wind conditions. It’s an impressive job…good engineers!

I applaud the new machine. The spinning “conventional” machines are plagued with basic scaling flaws, they kill critters, sully the landscape, and fly apart….and other bad stuff.

The vertical rotator design is a refinement of pre-existing technology.

I think we agree, although many individual US persons, like a fish not knowing water is wet since he never thinks…. well, it’s “deception” but only sorta. Thanks, I ought to have noted “with salt”, but then that usually seems like a basic assumption and as such, redundant. I am mystified by the dynamic trio of Pepe and pals… Not persuaded, mystified and fascinated not by what they say, which I see as, generally, hyperbolic, but by the questions of motivation and purposes… Like for “agent Hal”, the trio has some relation to true, sometimes…but I believe the three are of a higher moral character – this makes them more interesting to me. I seldom feel that by posting I am endorsing.  I ought to add salt more freely to dispel any misleading implications of endorsement. Sorry!

My personal view is that the war will grow until there is “regime change” in the most fundamental sense of the term…until the western nazi moral character is vaporized…that it is ultimately a class war of global proportion, as basic as crime itself, a Cain and Abel conflict. Maybe there wil be no gotterdammerung, no one say say, but it does seem probable.

Of course, that means their targets are the countries that have broken free. It’s the sovereign countries that are being the most demonized and the most targeted.
On the one hand, there’s that need to grab those territories and get hold of those markets and raw materials, and all the rest of it, to try to reset profitability. Getting their hands on the wealth of those countries would be a huge reset for the crisis-ridden global capitalist economies.
But then there’s also the need to destroy men and materials on an industrial scale. Accumulated wealth must be destroyed so that demand can start to come back into the economy and people start to need things again.
The combination of needing to rebuild and getting an injection of somebody else’s wealth to address the massive deficits, the debts, and the general crisis of overproduction in the global capitalist economy is really imperative.
So war and imperialism inevitably go together. There is no second way to escape this constant cycle of global warfare without getting rid of imperialism. And that means, ultimately, without getting rid of capitalism. Imperialism is just capitalism at its global monopoly stage.
It’s not something about people being mean in foreign affairs. It’s not a policy that you can change. It’s an imperative at a certain level of development of the productive forces.
A small national market is simply not big enough to absorb the output of these huge monopoly concerns. They need global markets, and even those start to become not big enough, because that’s the way capital works.
It doesn’t work according to a human logic. It works according to the logic of capital itself—the logic of capital accumulation and concentration. That creates its own laws and imperatives that the capitalist, the owners of capital, the owners of these monopoly corporations, the owners of the hedge funds and banks, have to follow in order to continue to run this system.
They have to think for their capital and as their capital.
So the war machine is an inevitable part of it. The crisis is getting worse right in front of us. We know this. We see the signs of impending economic collapse in so many directions: the massive indebtedness of countries, of corporations, of people.”
