A huge earthquake (aftershock) has once again rocked Caracas in Venezuela as the country reels from multiple aftershocks. An earthquake alert on Monday morning reported a magnitude of 7.5 in the north of the country, covering areas including the capital city, Valencia, and Maracay. Other local media report a strength of 5.

Axios and the NYT report that negotiations with Iran will start again on Tuesday. There is no confirmation from Iran. Trump has followed up with a post saying that Iran asked for a meeting that will take place tomorrow in Doha (Trump on Truth).

TEHRAN, Jun. 29 (MNA) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi says there are currently no intentions of holding meetings with US officials from the “technical teams” in Qatar this week. (So perhaps the main negotiators will have a meeting).
Prof Marandi says it is actually Trump who requested a meeting.

Israel-Lebanon deal will not pass — Lebanon’s parliament speaker
Nabih Berri vowed to confront the US-brokered Israel-Lebanon agreement politically, warning it could spark internal strife.
He called it a dictate that disregards Lebanon’s rights.
“It is ten times worse than the May 17, 1983 agreement,” he said, referring to the last Israel-Lebanon peace deal.

Tehran Times Exclusive:
Iran war changing public perception shaped by Western media, says S. Korean scholar
Professor Yu Dal-seung of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies told Tehran Times that the US-Israeli war on Iran has prompted many South Koreans to question Western narratives, though the shift remains limited. He noted economic disruptions from the conflict encouraged people to examine the war’s real causes. However, Western media still dominate South Korea’s international news, preventing deep change. Younger generations using diverse social media sources show more openness. Yu stressed that lasting perception change requires sustained educational and cultural exchanges, not just digital outreach. He described Iran as his “second homeland” from decades of study.

‘US and Israel must be brought to justice for their crimes’
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has ordered Iran’s Judiciary to pursue prosecution of American and Israeli officials for war crimes committed during the 2025 and 2026 attacks on Iran. The Leader cited the Minab school massacre killing 170 students and teachers, and the Lamerd sports hall strike that killed 24 civilians including young volleyball players. He declared these constitute hundreds of legal cases that must be pursued domestically and internationally. The message emphasized that perpetrators’ public admissions amount to acknowledgment of criminal liability under international law.

Putin says Kiev proposed limiting the fighting to just four territories: Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporozhye. Speaking in an interview with VGTRK’s Pavel Zarubin, Putin said Russia rejected the offer because it would let Ukrainian forces regroup and shift units from elsewhere on the front into the southeast. Putin made a wry comment. He says saving Ukraine is not part of the plan.
Pres Putin on talks with the US – ‘There was no formal agreement in Anchorage — no signatures, no documents — but we discussed a possible compromises to END THE CONFLICT’. ‘These were US proposals — we were asked to accept them — we agreed’. ‘We heard NO OTHER POSITIONS from Washington’
Key takeaways (TASS) from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statements at a United Russia party congress:
▪️ The Kiev regime resorts to overtly terrorist methods as Ukrainian troops are retreating along the entire line of engagement. Russia is not going to give Ukraine a chance to stop the advance of Russian forces. Russian retaliatory strikes inside Ukraine are even more powerful and painful
▪️ The West is failing to defeat Russia on the battlefield, hence its futile attempts to destabilize the political situation in Russia
▪️ The security of Russia and its citizens as well as the inviolability of Russian borders will be ensured
▪️ The Russian economy will be brought to a new technological level across all key areas
▪️ Russia is adjusting some plans based on the situation, but all strategic plans will be implemented in full. Negotiating contacts on Ukraine are ongoing, and new proposals have been made
▪️ Russia is living through a crucial time
▪️ Russia is standing firm on its feet, and is ready to defend its core interests
▪️Participants in the special military operation are Russia’s true elite
▪️ Russia’s reliance on traditional values serves as a powerful basis for national unity
▪️ Russia will hold a parliamentary election as scheduled.

The Venezuelan opposition is using the earthquakes to attack Delcy Rodriques and other leaders. The media reports and physical interference with the rescue process tells us everything we need to know about this opposition and one can say they use NATO provocation and media tactics. The Venezuelan authorities have closed off the area of major earthquake damage so that the rescue teams, 1,000 or more trained rescuers with equipment, from various countries can go in and work undisturbed. The fatalities now count in excess of a 1,500 with an estimated 55,000 bodies waiting to be identified. The logistics of this operation are daunting. Maria Machado, the peace prize winner is not being allowed to leave to Venezuela from the US. (A good thing it is too, but they just want to get the oil pump going again and Machado will attempt a coup during the emergency). Groups of the opposition approach the closed areas and on being told they cannot enter, complain bitterly that they are not allowed to dig for survivors under the rubble. Of course they do not report to volunteer centers. It is the race against time now and untrained people cannot be allowed to run roughshod across a very large area under rubble. There is one accusation after the other from the opposition. The media instructions are out and we see one after the other report on how fragile Venezuela is (of course! what is not to understand after catastrophic earthquakes) and it is of course the fault of the leadership. The opposition is attempting a naked grab for power.
So the MI6 puppets in Damascus have dispatched the MI6-created White Helmets on a "humanitarian mission" to assist with Venezuela's earthquake response. This is just the start. The Anglo-Americans will keep inserting 'aid' workers until there's no more revolutionary state left… https://t.co/RAVhq4qKWm

The ‘Donroe Doctrine’ in full swing with a little help from the Isaac Accords.
At an event in Buenos Aires, Flávio Bolsonaro promised that Brazil will join the Isaac Accords alongside Javier Milei, should he be elected President of the Republic:
“The Lula government has drawn closer to Iran, effectively severed ties with Israel, and made decisions contrary to the interests of Western democracies.
If I am elected president in 2027, Brazil will stop being a factor of instability and become an ally of Argentina, Israel, and the nations that defend freedom.”
