The research paper (30 pages) suggests that a number of simultaneous or possibly near simultaneous >1  …possibly 10 or so at the “upper critical depth” (see paper) can produce some remarkable waves – plenty to waste a port and ruin the ships. I wonder about the application to estuaries and fjords….shall we consider the Chesapeake Bay?
