For reference, I note that large stationary and marine diesel engines can be in the realm of 50% efficient, windmills something less than 60%, gasoline engines in the realm of 30 or 40%… Of course in power generation for electrical stations there are parasitic losses and efficiencies less than 100% in generator and transformers and transmission lines….withal power systems are pretty lossy. It’s often better to simply chop your own wood…
