According to Larry “Gunner” Johnson there are US Navy warships, two Destroyers I think, inside the Persian Gulf…if Hormuz is closed these ships are trapped. They cannot reload their air defense missiles. They cannot refuel or resupply. If Iran decides to run them out of air defense missiles, the ships will be entirely defenceless. At that point it is possible that Iran can issue a demand to surrender or be sunk. It’s been a long time since anybody sank a US Navy ship in combat. I’ll be surprised if it goes that way, but it can.
