21295> Gentlemen, Yandex sure knows something. You try to search for Irish cuisine, and it suggests looking up the Irish Liberation Army. [What will it give for Palestinian cartoons, posters, and music??]

What Yandex returns Irish/Palestine etc> Fine question!

    Yandex + Irish gives as # 1 this> watergaza

And an echo of Vietnam and democracy , well, democratic bullets anyway> whacking native vietnam gaza

The Britz say that they had a little bitty problem with one of their boats It was entering the “danger zone” when engineers at the back of the 490ft Vanguard-class vessel spotted a second gauge and raised the alarm. https://t.me/DDGeopolitics/92836

This is not a Brit Boat> https://youtu.be/O1SEes5TGbg  (But one gets the idea!)

“A naval source said the near-miss had showed that safety systems worked. “

(That’s nonsense, a lie. It proved just the opposite. Think about it…)

Let’s assume they’d lost the boat, and would they not (probably) blame the other fellow… and cry Ruskiedidit! (as it is, good sense calls for dry-dock and inspection…a deep dive in an old (calling fatigue life fellas) boat may have resulted in some squishy stuff, 😉  Steel is friendly, but not that friendly! All machine desire death, and some want to take you along for company…especially submarines, although oil refineries and chemical plants try pretty hard as well! (Motorcycle is safer!)

Conjecturally speaking, the ocean has lots of crud that gets into the pipes and through-hulls…plastic trash mostly… generally one never trusts gauges entirely, and “blowing down” (in some way or other to assure clear pipe and working condition), and taptap on the glass…is the way of things I’ve seen…same problem can foul the cooling system…reverseflushing and watching the differential pressures with hawkeyes…such actions are essential…conditions and physics… noting that submarine boot is supposed to keep quiet, and purging and flushing can be noisy… no makie bubbles an’ all of that stuff.wet wreck

If the period of tension goes on long enough, major unexpected events (like broken depth gauges in antique boats!) are liable to bring major amplifications in violence, significantly these mechanisms run through political calculus as well as the larger geopolitical epochal forces as well as human emotions. tictictic

Generally speaking, grounding a ship causes misalignment in the propulsive machines, diesel or steam, it’s not nice. In either it can actually result in inability to turn propeller, in an extreme case. Broken crankshaft even… In all cases alignment check must be done after re-floating.  Grounding can, does, create bending moments and fatigue, flexing, conditions that the design does not allow for, ie boat may become junk, it depend… 😉

Sea Trade India… in many respects the conflict energy derives from the contrast ‘tween thalassocracy and tellurocracy…India being rather conflicted geographically is not unreasonable…yet their ultimate “loyalty” is to land…needs must…an’ all that stuff. Best! P

More seriously… “The UNSCOP [UN Special Committee on Palestine] Majority Plan is not only unworkable; if adopted, it would guarantee that the Palestine problem would be permanent and still more complicated in the future.”
“The proposals contained in the UNSCOP plan are not only not based on any principles of an international character, the maintenance of which would be in the interests of the United States, but they are in definite contravention to various principles laid down in the [United Nations] Charter as well as to principles on which American concepts of Government are based.”
“These proposals, for instance, ignore such principles as self-determination and majority rule. They recognize the principle of a theocratic racial state and even go so far in several instances as to discriminate on grounds of religion and race against persons outside of Palestine. We have hitherto always held that in our foreign relations American citizens, regardless of race or religion, are entitled to uniform treatment. The stress on whether persons are Jews or non-Jews is certain to strengthen feelings among both Jews and Gentiles in the United States and elsewhere that Jewish citizens are not the same as other citizens.”
“We are under no obligations to the Jews to set up a Jewish state. The Balfour Declaration and the Mandate provided not for a Jewish state, but for a Jewish national home.[2] Neither the United States nor the British Government has ever interpreted the term ‘Jewish national home’ to be a Jewish national state.” Loy Henderson (US State Dept)

    How about that…a nondelusional! http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v16/v16n5p13_neff.html

They say (And Margret seems to confirm), a 2 million buckie “transfer” aboard the Presidential Train (steam in those days)… a zionist encouragement, some say… it was an election year, ahem… Good quote at the url…

Ah! heist? My Brother, an enemy ship has been brought to a neutral status, very pacific! The precise legal term is, iirc, “Maritime Interception”

    Zioboat now in quarantine…too bad.

Speaking of funnystuffatsea… enjoy the oldtimeyfella> pirate kraut and stolen boat

    Target list map> kills

iirc he got 76000 tons, including steamers…  It ain’t piracy. It’s legit. And honestly, it’s logical that there will also be sabotage…which was Luckner’s game early in his naval intelligence work…bombs in lunchpails, he himself says…luckner and wife

If it’s cool for the krauts, then the Africans samesame… paybacks! Ahoy!

Longtimeago (Nixon?) escorted re-flagged tankers, iirc…but of course that was then. Things have changed. Nevertheless, old habits and the need to be seen as acting (stupid?)  they may try to add meat to the fowl, so to say, by adding target mass grey… navyboat are grey. Thinking about “terrorist”… semantic value seems to be “a person or organization the speaker sees as without rights and available for destruction at will”, more or less. Noting that this itself is illegal, while the putative “terrorist(s) may be entirely within the Law… it’s just name-calling…and it makes dialogue and diplomacy impossible. (which may be a reason to label) I reckon the Yemenis know what’s right to do along their own coast! If Policy is to exterminate the natives, then keeping prisoners alive… well Comrade Duagn’s essay is well founded, ahem… withal> https://en.mehrnews.com/news/208538/Zionists-to-discuss-death-penalty-for-Palestinian-inmates

Last March, in a preliminary reading, the Knesset approved a draft law that stipulates that courts can impose the death penalty on those who kill a Zionist with nationalistic motivation. However, it would not apply to a Zionist who killed a Palestinian.

The ever charming lady from Poland reports diabolical plan – nazi re-paint rockets with modern ruskie paintjob, then attack Poland…nazi attack Poland? Where have we previously…well, it’s familiar somehow, eh? And the nazis will help the Poles “discover” that Rus attacked … hail Mary? Maybe…  Such a hootenanny might create, inter alia,  a distractions from the genocide in zone G…thus Beebee may actually “sanitize” the turf he’s stealing.

Father would have known offhand the provenance of the Principle, and yes, I think it’s Roman Law…but there are probably older examples . His Popeness (speaking of Rome!) called it Christian Discovery. I found this> In the 1823 US Supreme Court decision, Johnson v M’Intosh, Chief Justice John Marshall wrote,”…discovery gave title to government…[and] the sole right of acquiring the soil from the natives.” This decision underpins US property law. Marshall’s deliberate use of the word “discovery” is an intentional reference to 15th Century Catholic Papal Bulls, which stated that any Christian who “discovers” a land populated by non-Christians has superior title, or rights of ownership, over that land. In essence, Johnson codifies into US law the principle of Euro-Christian domination over Indigenous Peoples. In the most devastating sense, the Doctrine of Christian Discovery (DoCD) legitimized exploitation, extraction, and enslavement globally and enshrined these practices as the basis of U.S. property law still cited today as recently as 2005 (in Sherrill v. Oneida) and 2020 (McGirt v. Oklahoma).

Papal Bull “Inter Caetera,” issued by Pope Alexander VI on May 4, 1493, so they say.

Just now Meyssan’s The Collapse of Israel and the United States. (14 November)

Recalling Szilard predicted that the US and the USSR were a pair, one dissolves, then the other must also…machine logic…a metastatic structure…triggered when the USSR blew it…. so? So here we are! (he says, but does not mention the learned inventor of the bomb)

    Withal, excerpt>

Even more than Russia, which had to break away from the Baltic States, the United States must prepare for domestic uprisings. When the US is no longer able to impose the dollar on international trade, and its standard of living collapses, the poorer regions will refuse to obey, while the richer ones will become independent, starting with the republics of Texas and California (the only ones legally able to do so, according to the Treaties) [1]. The break-up of the USA is likely to result in civil war.

    [nochit!]

The disappearance of the USA will lead to the disappearance of NATO and the European Union. Germany, France and the U.K. will find themselves faced with their old rivalries, having failed to respond when the time was right.

Within a few years, Israel and the “American Empire” will disappear. Those who fight against the direction of history will provoke wars and unnecessary deaths in their numbers. ENDE  https://www.voltairenet.org/article219991.html

fwiw I rather imagine that legalistic argument for seceding might be conjured up for “States” additional to Calif and Texas…Hawaii and Alaska, for example seem pretty easy to imagine…as we recognize that Power and Realpolitik have a profound influence on Courts. Actually the outcome of the Mexican War might be re-negotiated, or repudiated – releasing the affected States to, we presume, decide their own fates by referendum, or by other, cruder, methods, ahem… Perhaps there will be a fire sale to China…who can say?

We might imagine the westmachine death wish is in Gaza and 404 and many places arranging it’s own very messy and cruel suicide. Best! P

Stumpy’s brother, Rabbi Schmaltzki, (he gets telegrams from Abe) says Uncle Dönitz has set up charts on the wall at Abe’s Celestial Bar…

If I remember the lay of things about strategy in the Atlantic supply route matters, the GIUK is critical… The Ruskie not stupid. The flying magnetomachines telegraph Imperial Design… light up the bill-board.

    Alas, the implications dire indeed.

FWIW I myself have real doubts about the US capacity for marine resupply to the presumed affray zone. BTW this was the reason Xerxes withdrew after Salamis…failure of marine resupply. I am unsure if they can crew the ships with competent men. Will we be treated to convoy rodeos?

In the nature of dispossession of peoples under rubric of Law… book excerpt>

Speaking of forces we cannot control… planetary influences on sunspots permits some degree of prediction of probability of bigbig CME, https://arxiv.org/pdf/2311.08317.pdf

    (below my bold)

The sunspot number record covers over three centuries. These numbers measure the activity of the Sun. This activity follows the solar cycle of about eleven years. In the dynamo-theory, the interaction between differential rotation and convection produces the solar magnetic field. On the surface of Sun, this field concentrates to the sunspots. The dynamo-theory predicts that the period, the amplitude and the phase of the solar cycle are stochastic. Here we show that the solar cycle is deterministic, and connected to the orbital motions of the Earth and Jupiter. This planetary-influence theory allows us to model the whole sunspot record, as well as excerpt abstract>the near past and the near future of sunspot numbers. We may never be able to predict the exact times of exceptionally strong solar flares, like the catastrophic Carrington event in September 1859, but we can estimate when such events are more probable. Our results also indicate that during the next decades the Sun will no longer help us to cope with the climate change. The inability to find predictability in some phenomenon does not prove that this phenomenon itself is stochastic.

(that last sentence is something people ought to remember)
