A Pentagon official told Sky News Arabia that a senior employee in US Defense Sec. Austin ‘s office is under suspicion for leaking classified documents to Tehran.

The official noted that the employee in question holds a security clearance granting access to highly sensitive information. Furthermore, the suspected individual serves as the director within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations.

Previously, it was reported that the US is investigating the leak of highly classified intelligence regarding Israel’s plans for retaliation against Iran.
