Spenser Rapone was like a character who stepped out of a Bruce Springsteen song. He was an idealistic teenager from the rural Rust Belt town of New Castle, Pennsylvania (literally the “Fireworks Capital of America”), who embraced patriotic jingoism and enlisted in the army straight out of high school.
But after being deployed to Afghanistan and seeing the violence his unit was helping to inflict, Rapone grew increasingly disillusioned with the military. He studied political theory, radicalized, and eventually turned to socialism. Inspired by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who famously took a knee to protest police violence, Rapone wore a Che Guevara T-shirt to his West Point graduation in May 2016 and turned his cap over to reveal the hand-scrawled message, “Communism will win.” ”

ParticipantI suppose they’ll master the battery building. Nevertheless consider that a battery is like a rocket – two or more chemicals that are intensely antagonistic toward one another are kept in close, more or less intimate, proximity. That’s essentially a “tame” explosive “pack”. Highly metastatic. A bomb. Now bang it around, crash it into a telephone pole, submerge in in salt water, age it, neglect it…and surprises may be expected – so they’re not surprises, they’re consequences.
In gasoline automobiles the fuel is kept apart from the latent air and protected from explosion potential…as saturated gasoline vapors in the partially filled fuel tank cannot ignite and detonate at normal ambient temperature and pressure, even with a spark inside the tank. (that’s not the case for saturated methanol vapors, by the way…I did a bunch of research on these things years ago when I was a engineering tech for a private fleet. Yup a straight corporate gig, I quit after 5 years, whata buncha capitalist creeps.)
Gasoline cars are intrinsically safer that battery cars, and more fun too.

One of the officers searches my body and then, as always, forces me to kneel on a stool while he puts ankle cuffs on me.
He ties a wide leather belt around my waist and then puts handcuffs on me, which are attached to the belt with chains that are in turn secured with a large padlock.
The ankle cuffs force me to take very small steps, making it difficult to get in and out of the transport vehicle. If I were to trip while cuffed like this, I would not be able to stop or soften my fall and would likely break my wrists.
