thank you, dear AHH, for laith.  when i was @ sgw, before concordia, we didn’t know about cells…i suspect students today don’t know more much more than we did about cells.  but laith is right they need to learn.  we were lucky, it was a different time.  we took the computer centre simply b/c we were young & bullet proof & back then empire’s world still held some notion of good & bad & ugly, right vs wrong.  today’s kids will be splattered like flies on empire’s windshield.

dear AHH, thank you for your detailed survey of the bedouins.   what’s happening in west asia appears mystifying & seems to require constant re-examination, alliances like marvellous dunes continually seem to be rewriting themselves, reinventing what i thought i knew or what had seemed apparent.  reviewing your links & posts, esp. those on yemen, palestine & iran, soleimani’s hand kept revealing itself from within the events unfolding & i was struck by how very like primakov his influence was & continues to be more obvious with each passing day.   thank God for primakov & for soleimani what a different future we would inhabit if either prophet had not seen so well, so far or had not searched the depths of our human heart.
