◽️The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have launched a long-range sea- and air-based high-precision weaponry strike against AFU units and the depots of Western munitions in Ternopol and Petropavlovka (Dnepropetrovsk region).
◽️The goal of the attack has been reached. All the assigned targets have been neutralised.
◽️In Kupyansk direction, the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, as well as artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the enemy manpower and hardware close to Kislovka, Timkovka, Berestovoye, Tabayevka (Kharkov region), and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).
◽️2 Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been thwarted near Ivanovka and Dvurechnaya (Kharkov region).
💥 The enemy losses were over 100 Ukrainian servicemen, 5 motor vehicles, 1 D-20 howitzer and 1 Rapira anti-tank gun.
◽️In Krasny Liman direction, the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, as well as artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of AFU units near Yampolovka and Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People’s Republic).
💥The enemy losses were over 60 Ukrainian personnel, 1 armoured fighting vehicle, 2 motor vehicles, and 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
◽️In Soledar-Artyomovsk direction, the assault units supported by the Airborne Troops units continued fighting for the western neighbourhoods of Artyomovsk.
◽️The enemy made massive attempts to break through Russian troops’ defence to the north and south parts of Artyomovsk in the past 24 hour.
◽️All the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been repelled. There has been no breakthrough in the defence of Russian forces.
◽️The servicemen of the 4th and 200th motorised rifle brigades and the 6th Motorised Rifle Division of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation showed courage and heroism in repulsing the enemy attacks.
◽️The units of the 4th Motorised Rifle Brigade have repulsed the attacks by AFU battalion tactical group to the south of Krasnoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), as a result of which the enemy losses were around 200 servicemen killed and wounded.
◽️The Commander of the 4th Motorised Rifle Brigade Colonel Vyacheslav Makarov led the battle while on the front line.
💥2 enemy attacks have been repulsed. The brigade destroyed 3 tanks, 4 infantry fighting vehicles and 2 armoured vehicles.
◽️During the repulsion of the third attack, the brigade commander was seriously wounded and died while being evacuated from the battlefield.
◽️Deputy Army Corps Commander for Military and Political Work Colonel Yevgeny Brovko led the actions of the personnel while in another area to repel the enemy attacks.
◽️During the battle to repel one of the attacks, Colonel Yevgeny Brovko died heroically, suffering multiple shrapnel wounds.
◽️The military personnel of the 3rd Battalion of the 200th Motorised Rifle Brigade repelled six attacks to the east of Bogdanovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) involving over 100 Ukrainian assault unit servicemen, 7 tanks, 14 infantry fighting vehicles and other military and special-purpose equipment.
💥The enemy losses were 7 tanks, 11 infantry fighting vehicles and over 50 Ukrainian servicemen.
💥The 6th Division repulsed an attack by the enemy assault units supported by three tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles. The enemy losses were over 30 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 tanks and 3 infantry fighting vehicles.
◽️In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, distinguished Russian servicemen were presented with orders and other state awards directly at combat positions.
💥 Russian aviation have made 24 sorties in this area during the day. The Group’s artillery have performed 107 firing missions.
◽️ In Soledar-Artyomovsk direction, in total the enemy losses were over 400 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, 12 tanks, 18 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, as well as 1 D-20 howitzer.
◽️In South Donetsk and Zapororozhye directions, aviation, as well as artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the Vostok Group of Forces inflicted a fire damage on the enemy units near Vodyanoye, Nikolskoye, Shevchenko, Velikaya Novosyolka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Poltavka and Malaya Tokmachka (Zaporozhye region).
💥1 AFU sabotage and reconnaissance group has been destroyed near Sladkoye (Zaporozhye region).
💥The enemy losses were over 120 Ukrainian servicemen, 4 motor vehicles, 1 Msta-B howitzer, and 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
◽️In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were over 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 6 motor vehicles and 1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.
💥1 ammunition depot of Kherson Ukrainian army group has been destroyed near Nikolayev.
💥1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-36 counterbattery warfare radar has been destroyed near Tyaginka (Kherson region).
◽️Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 102 artillery units of the AFU at their firing positions, manpower and military hardware at 114 areas.
💥1 AFU ammunition depot has been destroyed close to Khmelnitsky.
💥In addition, AFU 5th assault and 44th artillery brigades’ command and control posts have been hit close to Krasnoye (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Preobrazhenka (Zaporozhye region).
💥Fighter Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down 1 AFU Su-27 aircraft near Novogrodovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
💥Air defence facilities have shot down 6 projectiles launched by HIMARS MLRS.
💥In addition, air defence facilities have intercepted 18 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been shot down close to Golaya Pristan (Kherson region), Kirillovka, Spornoye, Vesyoloye, Yampolovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Novoaleksandrovka, Oborotnovka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Petrovka and Zhovtnyovoye (Kharkov region).
📊 In total, 425 airplanes, 231 helicopters, 4,135 unmanned aerial vehicles, 421 air defence missile systems, 9,159 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,100 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 4,813 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 10,193 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.

There is a new report on the torture at Guantanamo Bay, and it is heartbreaking and exceedingly horrible. But I am glad it is out if anyone can actually stomach it, which I must admit, I peeped at it but scrolled very fast past the sketches and really did not read too many of the descriptions. There comes a time when one flips beyond outrage and finds sheer cognitive dissonance in an inability to even understand this new fresh hell. Of course, this was killed dead inside of the US. First, there was discussion and it was then nicely overwritten by something else. I remember so clearly Trump saying that he does not think waterboarding is really so bad.

Part I and II
💥 Last night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a concentrated long-range, sea- and air-launched high-precision attack on temporary enemy reserve areas and ammunition depots.
◽️ The purpose of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been engaged.
◽️ As a result of the strikes, the movement of reserves as well as the delivery of ammunition to combat areas has been thwarted.
💥 In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Sinkova and Berestovoye (Kharkov region).
◽️ Over the past 24 hours, up to 35 Ukrainian troops, one tank, two motor vehicles, and one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system have been neutralised in this direction.
◽️ In Krasny Liman direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Tsentr Group of Forces have inflicted fire damage on enemy manpower and hardware close to Chervonaya Dibrova and Nevskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic).
◽️ The enemy suffered losses of up to 75 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, three pick-up trucks, one Grad MLRS, and two D-30 howitzers.
💥 In Donetsk direction, assault detachments continued their offensive in the west part of the city of Artyomovsk. Airborne Troops support the action of the assault detachments paralysing the enemy on the flanks.
◽️ Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Yug Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine close to Bogdanovka and Chasov Yar (Donetsk People’s Republic). Russian aviation conducted five sorties in this area during the past 24 hours. The artillery have performed 73 fire tasks overnight.
◽️ The enemy has suffered losses of over 465 Ukrainian troops and mercenaries, two tanks, six armoured fighting vehicles, six motor vehicles, one Grad self-propelled artillery system, and two D-20 and D-30 howitzers in the past 24 hours.
💥 In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces carried out attack against AFU units in the areas of Ugledar (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Gulyay Pole (Zaporozhye region).
◽️ Over 90 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and one Msta-B howitzer have been neutralised during the day.
◽️ Moreover, one ammunition depot of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Shcherbaki (Zaporozhye region).
💥 In Kherson direction, Russian troops have neutralised up to 30 Ukrainian troops, five motor vehicles, and two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems during the day.
◽️ Moreover, an ammunition depot of the 124rd Territorial Defence Brigade was neutralised close to Antonovka (Kherson region).
💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 72 AFU artillery units, manpower, and hardware in 94 areas during the day.
◽️ An ammunition depot of the 54th Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Verkhnekamenskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
💥 Russian air defence facilities have shot down one Su-25 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Belozerka (Kherson region).
◽️ Air defence systems have downed three HIMARS and Uragan MRLS projectiles and one Tochka-U tactical missile during the day.
◽️ In addition, 10 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed close to Golikovo (Lugansk People’s Republic), Spornoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Removka (Zaporozhye region), as well as Novaya Mayachka and Belozerka (Kherson region).

I’ll say something more formal but among our wide array of fraternal sites, I of course started talking about this, and the others sat back (I don’t know in astonishment or WTF). So, all the fraternals came to us to eyeball information and the visitor and reader count started ticking up and up and up.
So, there are some protections built into this humble GlobalSouth site. And these smart protective mechanisms said .. UhOh, what is this, we’re running way above the tolerances set for us, so WTF, is this a distributed Denial of Service attack. It was not, but the software did what it was supposed to do and slowed down the process.
My thought .. this is the most beautiful test of the protective side of this site and I could not have designed it better if I was designing a test.
Some things just shut off .. said WTF – we will wait until we run inside our tolerances and it looked like things were breaking. They were not, they acted according to design inside of safe tolerances. Because it is complex, it was not immediately obvious and I said WTF. There was one moment where I wanted to beg the fraternals to say something, to bleed some traffic away from us and that is a death wish for a website.
It worked, and it did not work. I had to up all tolerances again and the last two days we had eyeballs up the yahoo! And all while I was trying to make sense of the attempted drone assassination of the Head of State of a Nuclear Country.

KeymasterNo, back on land I just walk around like a sailor for a bit, rocking wide legged and ready to withstand or brace for a move underneath me at any moment, and then I adjust. Land clearly is my normal habitat.
KeymasterIncredible amount of work, so I don’t get around here too often, and I want to. But, somewhere peace will prevail.
On the issue of sea sickness or motion sickness – Oh, I can write a book. It’s the inner ear that loses its balance simply stated and also the difference between real and perceived motion.
Most people get away with chewing on some fresh ginger, or with those copper bracelets that put pressure on a wrist pressure point or keeping eyes on the horizon. There is another pressure point just beyond the thin skin between the thumb and first finger, just where the flesh begins. Most people can cope with these remedies.
Stepping away to something completely different. In one of the informational models, we humans take in information in three modes and in those, we have a dominant, a secondary and usually a lower value for the third measure. These three are visual, auditory and kinesthetic (senses and feelings). (Old Model, I don’t like the new ones). On the height of the bell curve, visual is first for most people. Kineasthetic is second and auditory is a low third.
So, I am at the height, auditory and secondary kinesthetic. So motion sickness for me is a question of swift and sure death if I don’t get help. Ears and senses. It is both auditory, the ears and the inner ear balance, and the feeling, difference of real and perceived motion. When we first did these models in Psychology school, I was so aberrant to the rest, that I thought I was deficient, and took a bunch of art appreciation classes, took drawing classes and so on, just to up that visual scale. Then with time, I figured out what I liked and did not worry anymore. I also realized it was a model, and not reality and the difference between a low visual intake of information, and blindness is 100% – but I did worry in between the Psych primal screaming and beating one another with pillows real hard, for anger management. It was a second childhood, the Psych school.
So, I cannot get on an airplane without some medication and a stiff scotch. Driving in a car, I have to be up in the front. Sailing? oh boy, and I am a sailor. I die without medication. One time we were flying back from an island to a mainland, in a old old Russian plane, you could see the rivets moving in the body of the plane. I crawled under my seat and even the kindest attendant could not get me out of there without violence, and there would have been violence. It is not just nausea or dizziness, I lose all control of my senses and have to crawl from one bulkhead to another, if I remember what I am crawling for.
Sailing, my husband’s sport, was a problem. I also wanted to sail the blue waters but oh man, I would die. So, it was drugs. I asked around and found a Doctor that seemingly could help me .. Explained to him what the case was, he took one look at me looked very interested, and said: Now! tell me exactly how seasick you get! And I did. And he said .. I am the same and there are not many of us.

The worst and most horrible drug .. called Scopolamine in decent conversation. This thing, 3 days of it made me so high, that I could survive the first three days of a bluewater trip because I did not know where my ears where or where my knees were. I was just simply high. Then, I was over it for long journeys. But only the calm spots – if there was an unhappy ocean, I got unhappy with it. Calm seas and I remain calm and happy.
The thing is, most people get through motion sickness with a little time. For some of us, that little time will kill us.
