KeymasterFrom the US …
US lawmaker Luna lauds reports about CIA chief’s trip to Russia
John Ratcliffe is doing some great things on behalf of the US, Anna Paulina Luna saidWASHINGTON, August 25. /TASS/. Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the US House of Representatives (R-Florida), welcomed reports that CIA Director John Ratcliffe was in Russia on a visit.
“The CIA Director is doing some great things on behalf of the US!” she said on X. She also posted an image of a peace dove.
Earlier, the Axios portal and the CBS television channel reported that Ratcliffe had arrived in Russia to hold meetings. The CIA has not yet responded to TASS’s request to confirm this information.
In March, at the invitation of Luna, a delegation from the State Duma held working meetings in Washington. Thus, the US-Russian inter·parliamentary dialogue, which had remained frozen for many years, was effectively resumed. Luna also repeatedly said that she supports maintaining contacts and developing trade relations between Russia and the United States. In late July, Luna told TASS that a delegation of US lawmakers would visit Russia in the fall or winter to discuss trade, peace, and the restoration of relations with their Russian counterparts. She added that officials from the Washington administration also plan to visit Russia.
I don’t believe a word.

KeymasterYup, that one is scheduled for posting tomorrow. How I appreciate Thuren. We have a schedule, more or less – it feels so normal and I get rest.

KeymasterRussians are joking:
… re: Ratcliffe’s visit to Moscow.

And I have no idea if this is true.
Initial unconfirmed reports are that Putin was furious with the CIA Director’s threats telling Russia to reduce tensions in Ukraine. Putin order him to leave Russia immediately and ordered the US embassy closed permanently…..
There sure are many stories circulating and again .. even serious stories, everyone knows what happened, but, nobody knows.
Excepting … photos confirm
The American flag has been removed from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow for an unknown reason. But, one never knows if the photo was taken after the flag was taken down for the evening.

KeymasterDolly Parton passes away at 80. OK, I lived in the South of the US and could not figure what this music is about. So, I read some on Parton and eventually figured that whatever the music is (and I eventually learned the Texas two-step as well as all the Jimmy Buffet Key West songs – fun time we had, sipping a rum out of one coconut with two straws), Dolly was a professional musician, and a clean musician and good at her art, which was not my style. But a good musician is a good musician. I sent her gospel stuff to my mom who loved it and then they chopped all the cobblestone streets out of Key West and it became a luxury island. When we had weekends there, it was just a fun tropical island with boating, seafood and lots of local music and sea and pirate stories. The people that eventually moved in for sunset ceremonies, were of the ‘don’t know what I am’, kind and that is when we did not go there any more).
So I can say Go Well Dolly – you were one of a kind. I see Trump is half-masting the flags.

Why does nobody notice I have a nice ass too!

KeymasterBe careful if you buy Trump’s cheaper beef. If it is from Brazil, it will be fine. But please be careful if it is from Argentina.

KeymasterThat set of demands made from Canada – wow. This is what other countries have had to face for ever now. I am glad Canada published it in the raw but it remains to be seen if they can stand for what they say. Now you can extrapolate and see the demands made of Venezuela, of Cuba – the Mexican trade agreement negotiations have just started. They will have to deal with it, but they say no. Brazil? the jury is out there but we need LULA – we can say unfortunately but so far, it does not look to bad.
It was similar with Covid Shots.
I believe the Eastern Countries are going to navigate the last mountain top to move to real multipolarity much better than the Collective West.

KeymasterThere is a lot from the US side of this almost analysis paralysis. The river does not flow if someone does not decide to count every drop in that river. It is like advertising almost.

KeymasterJust leaving this here – mainly for Periol but interesting nevertheless.
US legal AI firm dumps US models for China’s Kimi K3
Law-focused US startup Harvey, which is backed by OpenAI, has built its first in-house model using Chinese startup Moonshot AI’s open-weight Kimi K3.
🟠 Its model ‘Harvey Tenet’ was post-trained on Kimi K3 for complex legal work
🟠 The company previously relied on closed models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google
🟠 Open-weight models like Kimi K3 can cut costs while allowing firms to train AI on proprietary data
🟠 Harvey says Tenet delivers “state-of-the-art” legal performance

KeymasterMamood OD is back but on his own site and on his own video platform. His starting membership is a little steep for me especially if we cannot use his videos because they are behind paywall. Of course we don’t want to use it in the open then.
Anyway, I’m still thinking of making a private space for us, where we can post something private up .. for us regulars. Like a Mamood video that cannot be in the open.

KeymasterThe US has tried to bribe everyone. They tried to brtbe Iranian ship’s captains – the information is open on the net. They bribed the Kurds when they were still trying to do regime change. Every single person in Iran leadership, dead or alive have received offers of bribes combined with threats.
The “No Bribe” Stance: During diplomatic tensions and subsequent framework discussions, President Trump explicitly stated, “You can’t bribe them. You’ve got to beat them,” (I guess he must have tried).
Pakistan dripfeeds these things out in order to attempt to keep themselves important and relevant in a negotiation process which is not there.
Iran is talking to China direct. Not through Pakistan. There are big articles in the regional press on how responsible the ‘mediators’ are. Iran keeps a good thing going with Pakistan for economic purposes.
What makes sense and I don’t know if it was said here .. Russia and China need Iran and will support.
Here is but one of the Iranian ship’s captains that I could find quickly and this is a little older but illustrates what happens if you don’t take the bribe
… In August 2019, Brian Hook, the head of the State Department’s Iran Action Group, directly emailed Akhilesh Kumar, the captain of the Iranian oil supertanker Adrian Darya 1 (formerly Grace 1).The Deal: Hook offered the captain several million dollars in U.S. taxpayer funds to steer the vessel to a country where it could be seized by the United States. The Result: Captain Kumar refused the offer and was subsequently sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department. The Backlash: Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif publicly condemned the move, accusing the Trump administration of resorting to “outright blackmail” and bribery….
I am not guessing. I know.
Iran is not fearful to expose these bribes. There are so many that they just go by the wayside.
I said in one or two Dailies past, that the Pakistani influencers are now changing stuff from other sources, like PressTV, they make it look like a PressTV or other Iranian outlet, and they misrepresent – in fact, they openly edit the X post. Again, I am not guessing. I am looking at it. That was only one that I kept as I do not follow the work, but it was about Imran Khan – that is why I kept it, and also from a sense of outrage because of the irresponsibly re Khan.
Again, watch freely and post freely. This information is via Pakistani influencers.
Geez .. ask Prof Marandi. He is drowning in the offers of bribes followed by threats. Take this bribe or else. But to get him to lose some shine, he is now called a .. wait wait, I cannot say that – but a soft candy. Private sources.
The question is rather if there is anyone that the US has not attempted to bribe.
I have no problem with someone being paid for his work. But let’s keep it honest work.

KeymasterVery interesting apocalypse Periol. Thanks.
I’ve been wanting to say something about South Korea as it is clear that they are one of the first that will throw out the US bases. But to cover for that, Japan has asked to join NATO.
Let me mess with you a moment. Remember we talked about AI one time and I said that if the data for the system goes bad, the whole system deteriorates (as it programs itself in the process). So, it gets dumber on all spheres. We had some difference in our views there, because what I said did not and does not now make coherent sense. But I now claiming that I was the winner. (In reality, I forgot what the real difference was about – I just see it go insanely bad).
So, here is a question. Do you think Qwen and DeepSeek are protecting their databases?
