Mind if I pour some coffee into my cup, instead of woe? Just some silly joking here …

KeymasterThing is, if you play with it, it really is mighty impressive. Like magic you can create without doing too much of the creation.

KeymasterFunny! rough satire.
Let me pick up on AI. It is only software, but clever software. The only way to really understand it, is to go and take a ride on one of the public and open ones. ChatGPT or OpenArt.ai.
The language model ones takes a set of criteria (it prompts you for it), goes away and searches the databases that it is designed to search, and comes back with an answer that is human speak. People have unending fun with models such as What would Donald Trump respond if he is asked about x y z .. and then the same set of criteria is given to Putin or Xi or someone else. My sister sent me a AI piece about an attorney – he ran out of time for preparation, asked a legal AI to write his case for him, it went away and came back with a very snazzy looking legal case, exepting the referenced previous cases did not exist. He had no other hope but to ask the court for forgiveness.
I do love and hate the art AI’s. They present art that looks like the most amazing artist slaved for months to paint that piece of art and it is the best ever, but it is perfect – a real artist is not perfect. But it shaves off a lot of time for computer art or art for big business. Excepting, it is kinda empty of meaning. Yet, you can program in meaning, by saying that the work has to be emotional or some human feeling .. and it will do that. I’ve heard about people now falling in love with their AI’s and having torrid affairs. Comes to mind that old old song .. You’ve lost that Lovin’ Feeling – AI can give you it back or make you think you’ve got it back ..
Programming? Sure, AI’s can program. But they have not ethics and morals. So, you can ask them to program a software desk to destroy all farms, and that is what they’ll give you.
Here is a human being that may as well be an AI. https://www.reuters.com/article/usa-climate-agriculture-idINL1N3771SC
Is this whole industry dangerous? Exceedingly so and in a big way. Human extinction level dangerous? Yeah. Imagine the unwashed masses getting high degrees via AI and moving on to go and build a nuclear power station, or an airplane or an exceedingly complicated high rise building or a bridge. I mean they have the design – AI designed it.

KeymasterJust a little explanation here of how things work. Sometimes they work and sometimes not.
But generally, they work by agreement. For example, I may have an agreement with someone that I may cross-post everything, except maybe something that they keep for themselves.
Michael is open like a book. I post what I want and sometimes he jokes. With their work, Michael and Radhika, Ben does the work, so Ben gets the scoop. One morning, I get this hilarious mail from Michael. It says something like … Amarynth, Ben is slow with this one. Here it is. Wanna scoop him?. I laughed a lot, but Ben does the work, so Ben gets the scoop. I think I am very honest with these things, because I respect all of us in this work.
Back in Saker days I generally and for years worked with all the guest posters, up to editing and so on, sending stuff back, asking for changes, rejecting, whatever. And I generally remained friends with most. One time I had to edit someone that I am totally in awe of. It did not feel good to simply edit, so, I asked for permission – imagine that .. the editor asking for permission to edit! What I got back was … You may edit, you may change, you may do whatever your heart desires and you may even write it for me and put my name under that!
So, this gives you a flavor of the inside story. Many are snooty, and one has to play editor with them. I don’t like it and would rather work as colleagues. Some want me to be editor, so that I can be of help and seriously look at the material and seriously give feedback.
So, there are agreements. One time I wrote to Ollie Vargas, asking for permission to post something from him. He came back and said to use whatever I want as he has no time to mess with agreements and it is bourgeois as well. Done, end of story! And this kind of agreement then filters throughout all of his groupings.
Godfree frequently cross-posts something that I wrote, in his newsletter. We sorted this thing out long ago. He takes what he wants, he does not need to ask, and the same for me. I find my stuff in his newsletter and he finds his stuff here. No troubles.
So, these are long-term agreements or newly formed ones. But usually, there is a good and warm relationship. I truly enjoy the inside story which is a story that few people actually get to see.
Good enough emersonreturn? Behind these sites are a group of very committed and very good journalists, commentators and colleagues. If there is something you would like to see, it is only for the asking.
That is fully 50% of my work.

KeymasterA change in operational reporting
Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation – combined part 1 and 2:
https://t.me/mod_russia_en/7606
(29 May 2023)
Part I (see Part II)
◽️The Russian Armed Forces launched a long-range air-based high-precision weaponry strike against the enemy targets at the airfields.
💥 The goal of the attack has been reached. All the assigned targets have been neutralised.
💥 As a result of the strike, the AFU command posts and radar stations, as well as aircraft, and munition depots have been hit.
◽️In Kupyansk direction, the attacks, launched by aviation, as well as the artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the enemy units close to Novomlynsk, Kislovka, Glushkovka (Kharkov region), and Stelmakhovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).
….
Ed Note: The previous reports at this point, had a sentence as follows: The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation. This was a clear demarcation of a special operation and the daily reports from the front line.
This time, the overall header states: Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation
My question is if the special operations now are included in the daily operations, and they will continue as part of daily operations? If so, it means a Russian escalation of the SMO.

KeymasterIt is a pretty real thing for us, I mean en famille. We are a multi-cultural marriage and we do talk.
But yes, I’ve seen it said – the folks have no agency.
The folks in many other places were not allowed agency. Take a look at the piece from the Russian MFA that I just posted. How to split oneself into a pretzel morally? Where to find kindness? I think the dog would be more wise.

KeymasterI’m not with the existential. Nobody wants to remove them from existence – Only their tactics and influence. They may keep their lives.
Have a wonderful weekend! Yard sales were one of my absolute most favorite activities when we lived in the US. And after, coffee at a book store. In Africa books were expensive. In the US, for my eyes, dirt cheap. Those were still good days.

KeymasterI have no idea if this is slick propaganda or slick AI or perhaps true.
Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Epic events are unfolding in Germany but no one seems to talk about them.
A top ranked German General Andreas Marlow has been appointed to train Ukrainians at an “international training center” but after realizing who he is actually dealing with, he contacted the prosecutor’s office and the German MOD to launch an investigation on Ukrainian war crimes against Russian POV’s and civilians.
During his work with the Ukrainian neo-Nazis soldiers he pointed out in particular that Ukrainian soldiers trained at the bases of Wildflecken and Hummelburg repeatedly bragged and showed videos of brutal tortures and executions of Russian prisoners of war, confirming Ukrainian involvement in war crimes.
Although dozens of German officers saw these videos, they were ordered not to disclose what they saw in oder to avoid ruining Ukraine’s “reputation”. Since many of German officers do not want to lose their official posts, they do not make the facts of the Ukrainian war crimes public. Funny enough, it gets even worse, Ukrainian soldiers according to the report have showed great interest in the archives of the Nazi SS torture programs and repeatedly asked their German trainees to be familiarized with the archives of the “special methods” used against the Soviet captives during the WW2.
Apparently Marlow is one of the few generals in the west who will not step over his honor and will not accept the policy of concealing war crimes even if it will cost him his position or rank. He is convinced that the torture facts must be investigated, and the officers should be allowed to speak up on what they saw during their work with the Ukrainians. Even though Marlow submitted a formal application to Duscha Gmel – the federal prosecutor at the Federal Court of Justice, and a copy to the German Ministry of Defense back in February of 2023, he still did not receive any official response from the authorities. Lieutenant General Andreas Marlow can be contacted directly to verify the information:

KeymasterIt’s a wild time. We are in the oppositional forces of the economic thrust of the whole world bursting forward seeing some hope and willing to fight for it, and the empirical forces fiercely escalating and fighting for their empire.
The escalation will continue.
We’ve never in our world (besides maybe ancient human civilizations that existed in earthly history that we do not know) seen a time like this.
We had a small medical emergency today. I was desperately writing and dealing with the emergency, there was pot roasted chicken on the stove and I turned it off and declared it cooked (ha). Anyway, I’ve just had breakfast and lunch. Yikes, I’m tired.
The night SMO has just kicked off and missile launches from Russian Air Force strategic bombers are reported.

KeymasterIt’s funny in the Hearty Salon. It inherits some rules from the main Global South Site, and others, it does not.
You can post images by the dozen (but please do not do that lol!) But it hiccups on more than 2 or 3 links. That is inherited, because a common sign of spam, is links upon links upon links. So, many links – it goes to spam, except for the Salon, it goes nowhere, because in reality, we have no rules here. One can either be a dictator on rules or live with the software.

KeymasterDear Sir,
I’m going nuts and cannot keep up. (Gotta load us a bunch of icons but they cost money and that is besides the point).
I think in the RT India TG this morning (I put it in my head but too much else crowded it out), two maybe important snips on Pakistan. One is that they want to search Khan’s house, compound, area .. wherever he lives, but they promise not to arrest him again, and the other is some fighting about the latest IMF loan.
Over to you my friend! Should you be kind enough to try and pick it up.
