The idea is that the US is getting ready to flatten (Iran? Syria? … ? …? whatever, take your pick) after the mid-terms.  If Trump becomes lame duck after the mid-terms, this is a nice platform for the other crowd to stand on, and continue to supply Israel.  All the paperwork will have been done.    Bear in mind that as Ukraine is proxy in the North, so Israel is proxy in West Asia.  We all know that, but I still expect that war to increase in size.  Perhaps by bits and pieces but I don’t expect peace and continuing building a planet.  So as weapons continue to pour into Ukraine, so weapons will continue to pour into Israel, the killer fighter dogs of empire.  The same is true around certain countries (Quad, Phillipines and so on in the east.)   The idea still is to break Russia apart and to own the East and China.  None of that has changed.  The idea still is that if whatever fails, the chaos will be so great, that someone can swoop in and pick up pieces.  (Like Germany and Europe after the 2ndWW).  It is for that reason that I believe this story is true or partially true, or based in some kind of hoped for fact into their future.  (Those are also as we understand the last weapons left in the US, but I question that their ammo boxes are dry – they may be dry today).

According to an informed federal official, in the coming months the Trump administration plans to send a total of 40,000 Mark 84 and Blu-117 bombs to the government of Israel.

Each bomb weighs 2,000 pounds. This appears to be the largest transfer of conventional explosive ordnance from the United States in modern history.

How big is this shipment? It amounts to 40,000 tons of bombs. For perspective, the largest American air raid of World War Two was the Eighth Air Force’s attack on Berlin in March of 1945. Combined, the 2,023 Allied aircraft involved dropped about 3,000 tons of bombs. That’s 7.5 percent of what Trump is sending to Israel.

That same month, March of 1945, the US Army Air Forces began the single most destructive bombing raid in human history, Operation Meetinghouse over Tokyo. More than 100,000 Japanese civilians were killed. By the end of that operation, the US had dropped 1,600 tons of bombs. That’s four percent of what Trump is sending to Israel. World War Two ended five months later, when the US dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. The shipment Trump is sending to Israel amounts to more than three times the destructive power of that nuclear explosion.

There is no precedent for what the Trump administration is doing. Nor is there a justification. The government of Israel is not fighting World War Two, or even a war. It is engaged in periodic skirmishes with a guerrilla force in Lebanon, and it is working to exterminate an unarmed civilian population in Gaza. Neither front requires modern 2,000-pound bombs. An American-made Mark 84 has a destruction radius of half a mile. It releases a thermal wave the temperature of the surface of the sun. Within 100 feet of the explosion, rock melts and human flesh turns to vapor. The bomb collapses apartment buildings and leaves craters thirty-five feet deep.

Until the war with Iran, the US military generally avoided using the Mark 84 in urban areas. It kills too many civilians. For the Netanyahu government, that’s been the upside. In the weeks after October 7, the IDF dropped nearly six hundred 2,000-pound bombs on densely populated areas in Gaza, including on more than 100 officially designated civilian evacuation zones. The slaughter was so grotesque and embarrassing that for a moment the Biden administration paused a shipment of Mark 84s. Those shipments quickly resumed under Trump. Now they’ve accelerated.

It’s hard to overstate the scale of the crime the Israeli government is committing in Gaza. Over the last three years, more than a quarter-million Palestinians have been killed or wounded by Israeli forces there. The majority of them have been noncombatants: women, the elderly and tens of thousands of children. Many thousands more remain missing, presumably entombed under the rubble of 200,000 collapsed buildings. So far the Israelis have destroyed 92 percent of all homes in Gaza, and 34 of the 36 hospitals. By comparison, the 1945 Allied bombings of Dresden, now acknowledged as a war crime, destroyed about half of the city’s inhabited buildings.

By any definition, what the Netanyahu government has done in Gaza is genocide. The 40,000 new bombs the Trump administration is sending will be used to do the same in Lebanon, and likely in other countries in the region. If you wanted to extend the Iran war into the indefinite future, this is exactly what you’d do. So far none of this has received public scrutiny. At some point, inevitably, it will be described in media accounts as an “arms sale.” It is not an arms sale. It is a gift, funded by American taxpayers through the Foreign Military Financing program, an arrangement designed to disguise welfare as capitalism: Congress appropriates money to the executive branch, which transfers the cash to Israel to “buy” American-made weapons, in this case from General Dynamics. Politicians claim this is a win for America. Most voters have no idea they paid for it. The bill in this case is about $3 billion. Add that to the $352 billion the US Treasury has transferred to Israel since 1951.

How did this happen? The request for 40,000 new high-explosive civilian-killing bombs originated at the US Embassy in Jerusalem, which is run by Christian Zionist Ambassador Mike Huckabee and his aide David Milstein, who is the stepson of Fox News host Mark Levin. From there it moved to the State Department, where Marco Rubio enthusiastically approved it. At this point, only four more people need to sign off before the bombs ship to Israel: Senators Jim Risch and Jeanne Shaheen, the chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and Congressmen Brian Mast and Gregory Meeks, the top two members of the equivalent House committee. All four are committed neocons. Collectively they’ve taken millions from the Israel lobby. In 2015, Brian Mast traveled to Israel to volunteer for the Israeli military. In 2023, Mast showed up in the House of Representatives wearing an IDF uniform. It’s hard to imagine any of them hesitating before sending more free bombs to Israel. Only public outrage can stop this.

Mr P, in the next post, is probably close to the target with his thoughts on how these will be used, and when.  We are getting closer to nukes.  And as the power of the US degrades, so they will most probably think nuke.

Also, the timing.  Bear in mind the Israeli election is close and the differences between the parties (changing every five minutes) are stark.  The differences are how hard, how brutal and how fast.  That election is being fought on how quick the Palestinians and surrounding countries can be deleted off the map.  In the US, bloody bibi is still the chosen one, and this will help him election wise.

Friends, China is preparing for war, and don’t get sidetracked with that little island called Taiwan.  That is only the name of the western pretext as China can fall into Taiwan one early morning and by the afternoon the Taiwanese will be lining up for new documentation.

This is almost a hidden portion of China’s activities.  Seems like they trust in God but are tying up their camels.  They hope and prepare for piece but also, they are actively now preparing for war.

I watch the new weapons roll out and sometimes I am astounded.  We were talking about building aircraft carriers and in the last years, we learned that western style aircraft carriers are not really defensible – that is changing.

There is an interesting byway on this highway.  The area around Chernobyl, the exclusion zone, that was completely closed, through the years developed a healthy ecology – strange but true.  I don’t have any links easily available now – its has been years of a little research here and a little there.

The story goes that wolves established thoroughly first, healthy animals and from that point onward the ecology developed in the last 40 years to what is now considered a healthy crop of diverse large and small animals and rare species and and flora in support.

There is this thing – talking about ecology and a clean earth in time of war.  If anyone remembers, just recently the Israeli water desalination plants went off-line – from memory 6 out of 7 stopped working or were taken offline because of on algae bloom which would break them.

The end or rather the beginning of this story – the Israelis destroyed Gaza’s sewage handling systems, so raw sewage went into the sea where the desalination plants are – ergo, the algae bloom.  But that is not the end of it.  Israel then dumped vast quantities of a poison, name which I cannot remember, into the sea, to deal with the algae.

Same as my fear of a massive oil spill, the damage to the earth do not end even when the shooting ends.

There is now a series of this MAGA guy out there, and it makes me just sad.  I did a few projects in the south and of course we lived in Florida, so, these people were there of course up North Florida.  But I cannot say that they ever made me sad.  They were just people doing their people thing and a smile and a kindness soon got you a sweet iced tea if you could ignore the gun and pray the tea jar was clean. Lots of stories about the Southern Folk that still make me laugh today.

I do like Carl Zha and wish I had enough money to subscribe to his history channel – Silk & Steel podcast. He shares a lot though.

Well, that should make no difference whether they wanted to or not.  It is their oil.  Whatever they wanted to do with it within the Bolivarian revolution is their business .. no?   And yes, they wanted to develop.  But that is like saying Cuba and Brother Fidel never wanted to hold the Cuban revolution.   Or, Iran does not really want to to hold onto the Strait of Hormuz.   Or Nicaragua never wanted to really really go with their Sadinista revoltuion.  Or Russia really really actually wanted to get their international bank trading accoumts stolen.

These were revolutionary movements against the US, who considered all of that their own back-yard.

But Venezuela in the Bolivarian Revoltution wanted and actually did for years, ship affordable oil to Cuba, to some Island Nations and others.  They really wanted to use their oil for good, and for years, they did.  They shared oil with the Cuban physician’s program and supplied their region with affordable oil, sanctions or no sanctions.
