Now only we get to what Trump really wanted. He could not get it with war, he is not getting it with negotiations and now he is trying to get it with statements of hegemonic madness declaring ownership. We are at the stage where the hegemon will break everything, in hope that there will be something to pick up for them afterwards.
President Trump announces the U.S. naval blockade against Iran will be reinstated, and that all other ships must pay a 20% fee to pass the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump announces a blockade against Iran and says all other vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz must pay a 20% toll.
The Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN, with or without Iran. We are reinstating the THE IRANIAN BLOCKADE, so named because it is only stopping Iran’s ships or customers from entering or leaving. All other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait.
The U.S.A. will be, from this point forward, known as “THE GUARDIAN OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT,” but as such, and as a matter of FAIRNESS, will be reimbursed, at the rate of 20% on all cargo shipped, for any and all costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security to this very volatile section of the World. The process and formation will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Iranian response:
“We will under no circumstances allow the US to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz.”
👉 Spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters: Responsibility for insecurity and the expansion of war lies with the US and those countries that cooperate with it.
🔴 Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman of the Foreign Policy and National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament:
🔺Trump claims he wants to become the guardian of the Strait of Hormuz. We don’t need foreign guards to protect the strait. If he’s so determined to be a guard, he can go guard Graham’s grave.

It is hilarious.
Iran is charging $1 per barrel. At the current Brent price of ~$80/barrel, that is 1.25%.
So the US is proposing to charge a fee that is 16x the Iranian fee. pic.twitter.com/RhGxTQSWFO

Another ceasefire dead.
Saudi Arabia ends ceasefire with Ansarullah. During the funeral, Iran and Ansarullah announced that they broke the seige and blockade on Yemen and transported visitors and mourners to attend the funeral. An Iranian plane was on its way to land at Sana’a International Airport when Saudi jets bombed the airport. The Iranian Mahan Air civilian airplane successfully landed at Al Hodeidah airport despite attacks and threats from Saudis.
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree: “In an unjust and blatant act of aggression, the Saudi adversary carried out several airstrikes targeting Sana’a International Airport.” “The Saudi attack on Sana’a International Airport has brought the de-escalation phase to an end, and it must bear the consequences of its actions.” “We affirm that the Saudi attack will not go unanswered or unpunished.”

Europe and the US attempts to give life to old dead agreements.
They attempted a discussion on the punitive phases of the dead JPCOA. Russia and China announced that the UNSC has no mandate as the agreement is dead and all timelines have run out.
This similar contingent of Europeans have just tried a similar trick with China. On July 12, the US, the Philippines, Australia, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Romania, Slovenia and the UK issued a so-called Joint Statement on the 10th anniversary of the Philippines-China South China Sea Arbitral Tribunal Award. China strongly announced that the so-called “award” is nothing more than an illegal, null and void piece of paper with no binding force. China neither accepts nor recognizes the so-called “award” and opposes and rejects any claims or actions based on it. This award was given by some court with no jurisdiction and tried to tell China who the South China Sea belongs to.
(These people are unproductive teenagers trying to run a planet. I’m convinced their education was criminally spiked with utter tedious inanities).

In response to yet another night of violent US airstrikes on Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued five statements overnight and into the morning, detailing a widening retaliatory campaign targeting US military assets across the region. Now that the dust has settled somewhat, I will update the war thread.

Russian Navy and PLA Navy ships conduct joint firing as part of Maritime Interaction 2026 (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/28141) exercise
💥 For several days, the ships’ crews repelled mass attacks of drones and uncrewed surface vehicles of the mock enemy. The drones were destroyed not only by artillery and machine-gun systems, but also by electronic warfare systems.
🤝 In addition to the UAV engagement, the sailors of the two countries practised anti-submarine missions, joint manoeuvring, and rescue actions.

Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to launch group strikes with long-range air-based high-precision weapons and drones.
▫️As a result of strikes at the Port of Chernomorsk (the Sea Commercial Port of Chernomorsk State Enterprise), facilities of the port infrastructure used for unloading and storing military cargo, POL tanks, loading rack and pumping station, ammunition and missile depot, as well as a container transport control post, have been hit.
▫️In addition, two Ro-Ro ships and a container ship delivering cargo to the AFU, as well as the salvage and rescue vessel of 416 project Shostka, and an AUV Docking Station for storing and launching autonomous underwater vehicles have been hit in the port of Chernomorsk.
By reporting, Russia turned the Odessa port into rubble – another logistics hub wiped out.

Trump on the strait of Hormuz:
We will become the guardian of the strait, and when we do that, we will be reimbursed for it.
We guarded the strait for 50 years, and we never got paid for it. We guarded it for nothing, but now we will make money.
