Featured Image :  A guy posted Claude Monet’s Water Lilies painting and claimed it was AI-generated.  Commenters immediately started tearing it apart — calling the details sloppy, the composition “AI slop,” and the brushwork meaningless.  Then he revealed it was the original Monet all along. 🤣👍

The United States has outlined a set of five core conditions in its response to Iran’s proposal, according to sources cited by Fars News Agency:

  • No payment of any compensation or damages by the United States
  • Removing and delivering 400 kilograms of uranium from Iran to the United States
  •  Keeping only one group of Iranian nuclear facilities in operation
  • Not paying up to 25% of the frozen Iranian assets
  • Linking the ceasefire in all regions to the negotiations

Fars stressed that even if these conditions were accepted by Iran, the threat of aggression from the US and “Israel” would remain unchanged.  The agency, citing experts, also added that the proposal is aimed less at resolution and more at achieving objectives not secured during the recent US-Israeli war on Iran.

In comparison, Iran’s five major negotiation pre-conditions were as follows:

Iran had set its own five trust-building preconditions for negotiations, which are:

1. Ending the wars on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon
2. Lifting of sanctions
3. Releasing frozen Iranian assets
4. Compensating war-related damages
5. Recognizing Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz

Overall the sense that the USRael will attack again imminently is the order of the day. Mostly this is as a result of US Airforce movements as Macgregor states:

Douglas Macgregor: High-level movements by the U.S. Air Force in the Middle East — stay prepared!

Russian diplomat Mikhail Ulyanov:   I know when the war on Iran will resume… The war will resume in the coming days if not in the coming hours.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Trump’s schizophrenic insane messaging on Truth Social continued and ceased only about 6 hours ago.  It is a mess of accusations, generated AI slop, self-praise, ads from sponsors, major insinuations via retweets, whatever he could think of and other junk like Trump is 007, a Space Warrior and growing younger all the time.  Selected photos mixed in from the China Summit display consistent anger and dissatisfaction.  It is worth publishing a few as it is a phenomenon.  Get in the zone of Trump and his US business delegation having lost biggly and now attempting to pretend strength.  (Not to worry, the photos will not be here long as Daily Chronicles will refresh today.)

Thomas Massie and those that are involved in his re-election campaign, are main targets.  There is a context, in that everyone is leaking for example, how the vote is rigged to consistently support Trump for the war against Iran.  Netanyahu is consistently feeding the flames:  “I will speak today with President Trump about his impressions of Iran, and we are ready for all options”.

May 16

DD Geopolitics who follows Trump has something to say today:

Trump is on the most schizo Truth Social bender to date – ranging from posting photos from Beijing trip to rambling about Lincoln Reflecting pool to reposting Laura Loomer’s ramblings about senator Massie – while openly announcing imminent strikes on Iran.

🐻Will someone pry the phone out of Window Licker’s hands already and give him a vitamin shot? Jetlag psychosis is no joke in this one.

There is nothing there!  Never has so many words been used to describe absolutely nothing.  Global Times on the negotiations of the economic and trade teams of China and the US.  https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202605/1361120.shtml

(They tried hard but this is not even a fluff piece).  🤣

It is neverending now in the LAC:

Thousands of union workers have surrounded Evo Morales’ rural residence to protect him. The documents acknowledge this and confirm that they will launch the armed assault regardless, they’re already referring to protesters as “human shields”.

This was a day ago and we already know it, and the Chair BRICS statement was published. Nevertheless:

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced at a press conference that there will be no joint statement from the BRICS meeting. Instead, a statement will be released by the Indian presidency of BRICS by the end of the day. The development signals underlying tensions within the bloc as member nations navigate sharply divergent positions on key global issues.

Pepe Escobar notes that the translation is “the BRICS FMs meeting in Delhi was an absolute disaster.”  Note the comment below on India and the AEU signing a Strategic Defense Pact.  (An open secret: it is a defense pact to benefit Israel without a doubt.  And it is there that we have to start looking at the root causes of the Great Poisoning of BRICS.  This is why Netanyahu talks about Israel becoming a World Power and India (in the Modi persona) believed them).

“You will never find Justice in a world where criminals make the laws”~ Bob Marley

If you took in some of Trump’s statements today, there is no change whatsoever in the US stance and policy on China, or for that matter, anything else. The airplanes hardly left China, or the old rhetoric returned, this time with a vengeance.  Brian Berletic calls it dangerous belligerence.  He swerved from Biden to eggs, from Ilhan Omar to “World War XI,” from gas prices to Democrats — spraying random grievances like a broken propaganda sprinkler.  His brain lost all brakes trying to regain lost ground from the China summit.  Take a look at this sheer historical garbage:  “If you look at the history, Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.”  Trump was desperately fighting in his media today against a decline that is clear for the world to see.

The Wall Street Journal reports that more than 100 American embassies do not have ambassadors.  Trump does not want ambassadors.  He is dictatorial and prefers to work with his own special envoys or lapdogs one could call it.  The WSJ is correct for once, saying that this will reduce America’s ability to exert political and diplomatic influence.  Of course, but is that not a good thing?

The Wall Street Journal:
🔹More than 100 American ambassador positions in different countries of the world are still without an official ambassador.

🔹 Important American diplomatic gaps include countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait, Ukraine, and Russia.

🔹Diplomats have warned that this situation can reduce America’s ability to exert political and diplomatic influence in the world.

Good cartoons are everywhere:

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Compare a leader’s summit with the US summit where we do not even have a joint statement.   It has become clear that the US flew into China without a basic modicum of preparation.

Putin to pay official visit to China on May 19-20 at invitation of Xi Jinping – Kremlin

Other statements by the Kremlin:

Ukrainian spy agency ramps up efforts to destabilize Russian society – Russian foreign intel

Key points:

🔶 The Security Service of Ukraine is organizing operations to destabilize Russia under the guise of spreading patriotic content

🔶 In late April, Ukraine launched a campaign to “buy Russian military and patriotic Telegram channels”

🔶 Offers to acquire these channels are sent from specially created fake accounts

🔶 The main goal is to replace content and use the channels for disinformation

BRICS must act with confidence amid Middle East crisis — Russian MFA
Sergey Ryabkov says the BRICS group must send a signal to the international community about its ability to deepen cooperation across a wide range of issues

MOSCOW, May 14. /TASS/. The BRICS group must demonstrate confidence and send a signal to the international community about its ability to deepen cooperation amid the Middle East crisis, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said.

“I believe the conclusion that BRICS members, including Russia as one of the group’s founding members, will reach is that, under current circumstances, BRICS must demonstrate confidence in its own capabilities and send a signal to the international community that it is capable of deepening cooperation across a wide range of issues,” Ryabkov told Vesti.

“I am confident that the ministers attending the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will engage in detailed discussions on a broad agenda. Naturally, the situation in the Gulf region, resulting from illegal and unprovoked US-Israeli aggression, will be the primary focus. What makes the current situation unique for BRICS is that the group includes two countries with differing views on these events. These are the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has become a victim of this aggression,” he added.

In China:

Xi talked about global turbulence, cooperation, and the future of humanity. Trump was basically saying: “It’s an honor to be your friend.” “You are a great leader.” “I only say the truth.” “The children were beautiful.”

May 13

Trump goes to China as an abject supplicant and China is well aware.  What Trump announces he is going to do in China does not agree with what China is saying.  China confirms their discussion points again:  During the visit, the two heads of state will engage in in-depth exchanges of views on major issues concerning China-US relations as well as world peace and development. China stands ready to work with the US to expand cooperation and manage differences in the spirit of equality, respect and mutual benefit, and provide more stability and certainty for a transforming and volatile world,

Trump is taking a raft of businessmen to China, hoping some business can be done. This will be his first request he says asking China to ‘open up’ to the US business fraternity.  Supplicant, because of US Sanctions, Tariffs and clear indications in the US that China is their enemy.  China will NOT play the game of affording the US the primacy that it seeks because the ‘indispensable nation’ is now dispensable.

The China Daily has the summit as a sidebar.  I noted that China’s diplomacy will be more than perfect, but a server may ‘accidentally drop the soup’, to make a point.  The server has just dropped the soup.

There is another backdrop.  We expect to hear about Taiwan and the US providing weapons to Taiwan.  But do not forget Japan and the US providing weapons to Japan.   Sanae Takaichi administration’s push for rearming Japan has set off the largest antiwar protests Japan has witnessed in decades. Many in Japan fear that the path back to militarism is a path down the abyss.

Quote FM Lavrov:  ‘In the modern world, words mean little, my American colleagues prove that’.

As far as I know, this address from President Putin was not announced and forms part of a report (http://kremlin.ru/events/president/news/79724/photos) from Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Sergei Karakayev on the successful test of the Sarmat missile (May 12, 2026).
As soon as there is an English transcript or a full video, we will post it. The Russian transcript is out: http://kremlin.ru/events/president/news/79724

The looming economic crash shows itself in the strangest of places.  Daily we now hear of threats to ordinary commodities.  Copper is getting very scarce.  Fiber Optics cable is scarce and expensive and this has an effect on drone warfare not to talk about new internet connectivity installations.   This is amazing.  Due to the oil shortage, Japan has started printing food packaging in black and white, says Reuters.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Seemingly JD Vance could not re-recruit the Pope to the side of the US during his recent visit.  Dr. Mohammad Hossein Mokhtari, Iran’s ambassador to the Vatican, received the highest diplomatic honor from Pope Leo XIV. Established in 1847 under Pope Pius IX, the prestigious medal is awarded to ambassadors and notable figures for their efforts to strengthen diplomacy and promote peace.

UK sanctions a psychiatric hospital in Crimea as well as orphanages, children’s summer camps, boarding houses, and resorts.  ‘They are all responsible for promoting patriotic and military education among young people,’ the document says.  (The UK really does not know where to go . This is while they are trying to get rid of Keir Starmer.  Looking at the alternative candidates, it can get worse.)

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Iranian and Omani officials held a joint meeting today about the future of the Strait of Hormuz.  Oman has recognized joint Iranian-Omani control over the Strait as sovereign territory.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Putin,  and repeated a number of times by Dmitry Peskov said the Ukraine war is on the verge of being over.  Zelenski must do one thing, and that is to withdraw from Donbas and then talks can continue.  There may be other pre-conditions that are not public.

Peskov :

The President stated that Russia remains open to contacts. He mentioned that certain work has been done in a trilateral format. And he said that we would welcome the continuation of mediation efforts by the US. And, of course, the accumulated progress in the peace process suggests that the end is indeed approaching.

However, it’s not appropriate to discuss specifics in this context at the moment. You know that the humanitarian ceasefire has ended, and the special military operation is continuing. It could stop at any moment, as soon as Zelensky takes responsibility and makes the necessary decision.

What decisions need to be made is well known in Kiev. The President, speaking at a press conference in the Kremlin, said that he would be ready to meet with Zelensky in Moscow for negotiations at any time, as well as in any other location. But it only makes sense to meet in any other location if the process is fully finalized.

And to finalize it, to put an end to it, there’s still a lot of work to be done.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Russia’s 3-day ceasefire is over.  I have not seen a prisoner exchange yet.  Following the expiration of the ceasefire regime, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued the special military operation.

Russia is ensuring a partial demilitarization of NATO through its special military operation in Ukraine, David T. Pyne, former US Army HQ staff officer, national security strategist and Editor of The Real War newsletter, told TASS.

“Russian forces have performed impressively on the operational and tactical level,” he said. According to Pyne, “this is accomplishing Russia’s stated goal of demilitarizing Ukraine,” along with ensuring “a partial demilitarization of NATO forces as NATO countries have sent Ukraine every spare weapon system they have available.”

“Thus, it could be said that Russia is winning a proxy war against the combined military might of NATO and Ukraine,” the expert pointed out.

Simply the best.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Ghalibaf:

Our armed forces are ready to deliver a well-deserved response to any aggression; mistaken strategy and mistaken decisions will always lead to mistaken results— the whole world has already figured this out.
We are prepared for all options; they will be surprised.

Trump is on a tear again but we don’t want to give much attention to him.  So, short and sweet – the ceasefire is on life support – 1% chance of life and he did not even finish reading Iran’s response.  Remember the previous one they tossed in the trash.  Much is made of the Iranian moderates vs the ‘lunatics’.  The moderates supposedly want to make a deal and the ‘lunatics’ want to fight it out.  The words used are … garbage and Iran is stupid and lunatics and dishonorable and he deals with them all the time.  He is after Venezuela as the 51st state and Cuba is in there as well.  It is deathly boring.

There is vibrant life out there but it is not to be found listening to this Baboon Child of Barbaria who is fast becoming a sideshow with old nukes.

For the rest, today is a quiet day so Sovereignista will take the opportunity to be quiet as well.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed Donald Trump’s state visit to the country from May 13 to 15.  “At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump will pay a state visit to China from May 13 to 15”, the statement on the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s website said.

Posted up is Xi Jinping’s quotes on China’s Global Initiatives as public good for the Planet.  It is almost a ten commandments.  If you take a look at those, you might understand at a glance the clash of mature civilization vs the barbarism of the dying single polar hegemon.  This State Summit meeting will expose that, although we will not see most of it.  https://sovereignista.com/2026/05/10/chinas-global-initiatives/

If we compare Donald Trump and his administration’s efforts at establishing public good, there is nothing but a continual rape and plunder of the planet and its people, and this is historical throughout past administrations.   Gaza is still being shot up without sufficient food and basic life support, Lebanon is still being shot up, Iran still has fingers on triggers.  An economic disaster is still rolling down on this planet.  The US still talks about ‘their hemisphere’ in the west.  Continual NED type and See Eye Eh type destabilization of others happens routinely.  The only reason why Russia accepted Trump’s 3-day ceasefire, is to get as many prisoners of war as possible, from Ukraine.  (I hope this happens!).   Russia negotiates by rote and not because they expect anything.  We can all see how Russian rhetoric changed mostly directed at Europe in terms of re-arming but also at Japan.  Chinese media and diplomatic statements is filled with warnings on Japanese re-arming.

China will be cool, calm and collected during the summit, and the form of their diplomacy will be beyond perfect, except when a server might drop the soup by ‘accident’.  Trump will arrive for the meeting with nothing but chaos and performance, and he will go home after this meeting with nothing but confusion, because he has not seen modern China.  The fact that China told their oil refineries to fully ignore the last set of illegal sanctions writes the book all by itself.  China may toss an economic bone, in the form of giving a pacifier to a baby, while talking a lot about Leader to Leader diplomacy to give the media something to talk about.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

By theatrically rejecting Iran’s comprehensive plan to end the war, Trump has trapped the US at a fatal three-way crossroads: resume a losing war, accept humiliating defeat under Iran’s terms, or face endless escalation.

Russia’s threat before Victory day – massive missile strikes on Kiev should the Victory Day celebrations be attacked, was devastatingly effective. Following is a short extract from President Putin’s Q & A at the end of Victory Day.

The Defence Ministry issued a certain initial statement – it is well known – that in case an attempt were made to disrupt our celebration events, we will respond with massive missile strikes on Kiev.

We did not limit ourselves to it. It was followed by a Foreign Ministry’s note, which is an official document, not just a declaration. But we did not stop there. We started working with our major partners and friends, primarily with our friends from the People’s Republic of China, India and some other nations, including with the US administration. … all the command and decision-making centres in Kiev are located in close proximity to the diplomatic missions of a number of countries – several dozen, in fact. When we began this dialogue with the US administration, we drew their attention to this matter, outlined the potential consequences, and asked them to do everything necessary to ensure the security of their country’s diplomatic mission.

As a result of all these discussions, US President Donald Trump proposed an additional two-day ceasefire and a prisoner exchange during that period.

We know that talks with Kiev are at a standstill and Russia upped the ante decisively.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Iran follows a similar tactic.  The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has warned the United States and its allies, saying that any attack on Iranian tankers or commercial vessels in the Persian Gulf or beyond will trigger a heavy and decisive response targeting American military centers in the region and enemy ships.

Iran Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Akrami Nia:

🔺 From now on, countries that follow the United States in imposing sanctions on Iran will face difficulties when passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

🔺 The enemy expected that Iran’s armed forces would be unable to resist or conduct military operations during the war.

🔺 However, up to the 40th day of the war, Iran maintained its military capability, managed the war effectively, and carried out both offensive and defensive operations.

🔺 In the end, the enemy realized it could not break this resistance and was ultimately forced into a ceasefire.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The kill rate of civilians in Southern Lebanon is now in double digits per day.  Yesterday the count was 26 martyrs killed as a result of the ongoing aggression against southern Lebanon.  The exact scenes that we witnessed in horror in Gaza, are being repeated by the zionist IDF.    Here is one such story:

This is how South Lebanon awoke this morning.
The morning in South Lebanon began with a drone strike carried out by a hostile UAV targeting a motorcycle on the Nabatieh road near Al-Sabah Secondary School. A man and his 12-year-old daughter were riding it.

According to field reports, the drone fired a first missile at them, but they survived the initial strike. In the moments that followed, the father tried to move away from the motorcycle and pull his daughter to safety. But the drone returned, launching a second missile directly at him, killing him instantly.

The young girl then attempted to flee, running dozens of meters away from the scene in terror, before the drone targeted the area yet again. A third strike critically wounded her, and she later succumbed to her injuries.

This was not crossfire. Not a battlefield mistake. A child was chased from the sky after watching her father murdered before her eyes.

Lebanese media report Israel conducted 32 airstrikes, 12 UAV strikes, 22 artillery shellings, and 5 demolitions in Lebanon today.  The Islamic Resistance (Hezbollah) reported 26 military statements targeting Merkava Tanks, Vehicles, gatherings of IDF soldiers, with mainly suicide drones.  In the northern occupied territories, sirens started blaring again and certain Israeli shelters were beginning to open.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Gaza is being further pummeled from the coast where IDF boats are indiscriminately shooting at wherever people are gathered.  There is no ceasefire in Gaza.

🔹🔹🔹🔹.

Economics :  Supply chains are seizing up and will continue to do so from unexpected vectors.  This cannot be predicted with accuracy.

💣 Persian Gulf chaos chokes supply of world’s most-used industrial chemical

Hormuz tensions have triggered a sulfuric-acid shock, sending prices soaring, and threatening global supply chains of a chemical essential for food security, AI infrastructure, EVs and global manufacturing.

Sulfuric acid is produced from smelting copper/nickel or burning sulfur.

◻️ In Chile, the world’s top copper producer and largest sulfuric-acid importer for copper leaching, acid prices have more than doubled

◻️ Sulfur prices in Indonesia have surged over 80% (Argus data)

◻️ Nickel miners tied to Middle East supply are cutting EV battery & stainless-steel output

◻️ China, the world’s largest sulfur producer, has restricted exports to protect domestic fertilizer and food production

🔹🔹🔹🔹.

Russian MoD:  Despite the announcement of a truce regime, the AFU carried out strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery against positions of Russian troops as well as against civilian facilities in the Republic of Crimea, Belgorod, Kursk, Kaluga, Rostov, Krasnodar regions.

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have carried out 676 strikes against Russian troops using artillery guns, MLRS, mortars, and tanks. Ukrainian troops also delivered 6,331 strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles. The enemy has launched eight attacks against positions of Russian troops.

In total, 16,071 ceasefire violations were recorded in the special military operation zone.
