The 2nd part of BRICS, the BRICS partners, will get their workout today. Preisdent Putin opened with a speech but will not stay for more bi-laterials. Xi Jingping has also already departed for China.

What remains is to get the main statements of Key BRICS members together plus an assessment of the Joint Declaration. We have a little time and I’m happy, as this is what BRICS is going to take to the UN, perhaps not spoken but clearly in attitude, later this month· The Joint Declaration has serious criticism for Israel, they name it, and they say what should be done. It is not the previous wussie language but strong and finely directed language. And Modi signed. I wonder who put a missile to his head? And then, it really looks like a blueprint for what we, the world should be giving attention to. Before I complete an assessment, look around on the net and YouTube, there is plenty hipshootin’ commentary and some have not even read it but they make screeds of videos.

Taking it easy this Sunday. We have Ansar Allah’s supreme victory to celebrate (though it is not over yet there in Yemen) and if you told me that BRICS is going to come up with a Joint Declaration that I would be reasonably happy with, I would not have believed you. The miraculous part was UAE sitting down with Iran. Iran President, UAE Crown Prince meet on BRICS sidelines, back joint statement urging restraint in West Asia war (https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/iran-president-meets-uae-crown-prince-on-brics-sidelines-back-joint-statement-urging-restraint-in-west-asia-war-101789226727137.html)
The two leaders discussed regional and international issues, de-escalation, stability, and efforts to promote regional peace and development. I don’t think they were hamming it up for the press.

Let’s take cognisance of only one of Putin’s statements in his opening speech of BRICS partners. This is the second miracle. BRICS and BRICS+ can operate ‘regardless of whatever pressure comes from the outside’ — Putin There are independent routes for moving capital, labor, technologies’

And on that note, a short discussion on BRICS Pay which is literally a financial ecosystem. Our intrepid economics visionaries could take a look.

*Sana’a: the Yemeni Epic will be taught**

Sep 12

Ansar Allah is cleaning house and slowly surrounding cities and areas where the Saudis are still embedded toward the East and on the Saudi/Yemeni border. These happen to be oil rich. It is reported but cannot be confirmed that Saudi Arabia called Trump twice and asked him to attack Yemen, on their behalf. The reports indicate that he said no. But what is confirmed is that the Saudis called Iranian leaders and asked them to ask the Yemeni’s to stop their attack. Iran said in no uncertain terms ‘quit the Yemen blockade and quit your war – we do not speak for the Yemenis and we will not be your message carrier’. The sheer amount of US weaponry that Ansar Allah took control of, displayed on countless photos and videos, is a great surprise for Americans who, for the first time notice this.

❗️ Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a massive strike against Ukrainian metals industry enterprises producing military-purpose products, in the cities of Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Krivoy Rog, as well as against port infrastructure facilities in Odessa region through which cargo for the AFU is delivered, and maritime vessels used in the interests of the AFU.

💥 As a result of strikes employing high-precision air-, ground- and sea-based weapons and strike unmanned aerial vehicles, the following targets were hit:

📍 in Zaporozhye region:

▪️ the Zaporozhstal steel plant (PJSC Zaporozhstal) in Zaporozhye, one of the main suppliers of sheet metal rolled stock for protective structures and armour for military hardware, as well as plates for body armour;

📍 in Dnepropetrovsk region:

▪️ a steel plant in Krivoy Rog producing metallurgical products for the manufacture of weapons and military hardware;

▪️ the innovative electric smelting complex of the Interpipe Steel metallurgical plant in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine’s largest producer and supplier of rolled metal for the manufacture of military-purpose products;

▪️ the Severny and Novokrivorozhsky mining and processing plants in Krivoy Rog, which carry out the extraction, beneficiation and agglomeration of iron ore for the production of metallurgical products used in military manufacturing;

📍 in the port of Chernomorsk in Odessa region:

▪️ port infrastructure facilities used for the unloading and storage of military-purpose equipment, two dry cargo ships that delivered armaments and military hardware for the AFU, and a sea tugboat.

Yes, this BRICS summit is on practical solutions.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

In Modi’s speech at the BRICS Business forum, we at least have a statement of where India stands.

The West wants India to pick a side, but New Delhi has a different plan.  India will try to stand between two fires – keeping its Western partnerships, defending its ties with Russia and refusing orders from either camp

India believes it can draw strength from both sides.

OK Modi – you’ve not heard of “You are with us, or you are against us.”  Even in logic this binary polarization is known as a false dilemma and by definition you will bring trouble upon yourself and for the rest of the BRICS.  But thanks, we know now where you stand.  Multipolarity is obviously not your bag.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

So far today Ansarallah and its lightening fast attack on Saudi Arabia, is still top of the log in terms of reporting. Latest is that the two islands that were still being questioned if they were in Yemeni hands or not, are in Yemeni hands, awaiting an amnesty announcement for the Saudi fighters and then they will leave with their lives.

Some critical information that is appearing with all this attention: Saudi Arabia is asking for a massive World Bank loan as their almost non-existent oil exports is now hurting, and Qatar is just about out of its ability to export LNG because of physical damage to plant.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The BRICS Business Forum opened in New Delhi on Friday with a focus on reducing trade barriers, strengthening supply-chain resilience and expanding cooperation in services and the digital economy as the grouping seeks to translate growing economic ties into practical private-sector partnerships. President Putin is slated to present the keynote speech.

I am heartened to read the pre-summit commentary so far. The focus is on finding practical and implementable solutions that are growth-oriented and stable, in a turbulent global economy. The next phase of BRICS trade development is not merely about statistical growth. It is also about further upgrading the bloc into a core platform to hedge against external risks and share development dividends for emerging market countries. The language so far is different. The impetus has a sense of reality. The BRICS countries know that they are on the hot seat or the razor’s edge and it is only BRICS that offers an opportunity for collective problem solving and solution development. My sense is that BRICS understands that it is now or never. Should this continue during the summit, we may just avoid the political minefield and continue on with practical and implementable solutions.

President Putin’s keynote is critical, as this will set the tone.

Only the highlights

❗️ From 5 to 11 September, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out one massive and six group strikes with high-precision weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, which hit enterprises of defence industry of Ukraine, logistics and distribution centres of military cargo, fuel, power, and transport infrastructure facilities, a DATA-centre used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, drone manufacturing workshops and warehouses, ammunition, fuel, and materiel depots, radio and technical reconnaissance centres, as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

🔥In addition, a number of the Ukrainian ports infrastructure facilities, which provided reception and storage of military cargo, as well as fuel and lubricants used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, have been disabled.

🔥During the week, 13 dry cargo ships, two tankers, two tugboats, and two boats operating in the interests of the AFU were hit.

Brent Crude overnight

I don’t think Ansarallah is concerned.  They are off to liberate the rest of Yemen.  The West (which is most of Yemen in population but not in land size) is theirs.  (Early days, they must still keep it, but at the rate that Saudi Arabia and the UAE rent-an-army mercenaries fled last night, I think they have it!)  Commanders are now spreading out into the newly liberated towns and cities to keep things calm.  Some members of the Yemeni puppet government are fleeing their hotel room.

Overnight it happened and rapidly.  No journalist could keep up.

Sep 9

On this day, the commemoration of September 11, 2001 brought us terrible war.  The Russians are moving ahead with speed, closing their planned and set up cauldrons and removing Ukrainian soldiers and the mercenaries recruited from Latin America from the map. (One cauldron has 1,700 Ukie and mercenary fighters).   It is not long now and the known SMO will be removed from the map to a next phase.

🔹September 11, or 9/11 is a miasma on its own.  It is never reported with the year, but only with the miasma slogan.  The US now has its own badge, similar to the badges of Israel, the holocaust and their second miasma, called Oct 7, but which happened at the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023 – a music festival only a few kilometers from the Gaza concentration camp barbed wire.

These events are never posted with the year – only with the slogan.  I searched to make sure I had the correct years, and on the first page, there is NOT ONE report including the year – only the slogan in the miasma.

🔹Quote from Roger Waters today: Western media spread propaganda.  ‘We live in a miasma of their lies’.  ‘The ruling elite own almost all the media.

🔹Take a look at what Ansarallah is doing in Yemen.

🔹Iran is fingers on triggers with a little shooting here and there and refusing to give a centimeter.   “If our oil cannot move, then oil will not move.”

Some of the miasmas today.

🔹Trump:  ‘We had a great conversation with Putin. He wants to make a deal’.  ‘If Zelensky wants to make a deal, that will be very nice’.  The reality is that Russia let it slip that they expect the US to stop supporting Ukraine before an end to the SMO can be countenanced.

One more Trump miasma, and you may remember that someone in the not so distant past had ‘weapons of mass destruction and a whole war was fought and a country destroyed over this slice of miasma – Sadam Hussein in Iran of course, vividly illustrated with a vial of washing powder by Colin Powell at the UN.

Compare Trump’s words:  ‘All they want is a NUCLEAR WEAPON’ — Trump on Iran

Please do not let this warmed over old playbook confuse you.  The pretext cannot be more similar – replaying Colin Powell.

🔹Marco Rubio is on a 3-country visit in the Latin Americas.  He is painting his own miasma.  He was in Ecuador today, fighting fishermen drugboats.  Ben Norton updates on Ecuador:

Ecuador under US imperial rule has become a failed state run by drug cartels. The Ecuadorian journalist who helped expose how police are working closely with organized crime has just been murdered. Any Ecuadorian journalist who exposes the crimes of the drug-trafficking oligarch family of the country’s right-wing narco-dictator Daniel Noboa (a US citizen and close Trump ally) is killed. Any Ecuadorian journalist who investigates the Noboa narco-regime’s collaboration with the US military is killed.

Rubio is in a country which the US overthrew because it gave Julian Assange protection and asylum.  Now the US is keeping its miasma alive with Rubio announcing far and wide on his podiums during his visit that the US is fighting narcos and drug trafficking and the LEFT ARE NARCOS AND DRUG TRAFFICKERS.

Rubio:

‘The left-wing has basically DESTROYED every country they’ve gotten a hold of in the hemisphere’.  ‘These groups are actually in ALLIANCE with criminal narco-trafficking organizations’

Well Narco Rubio, your slice of the miasma proves that you are not very bright, are you?   Show me an undisturbed leftist country without sanctions and your interference that can boast of scenes like this.  From his speeches, Mexico is next on the list of the empire’s Donroe Doctrine in what they claim is ‘their hemisphere’.  Rubio should go home and work in his own country.  I remind you again of Trump’s inauguration speech and from memory:  We are an empire and empires grow.

(There is no joy in reporting these issues.  As always, we know of parents who are broken because their sons and daughters or family members became victims.)

🔹Talking about fishermen:  Iranian fishermen’s account of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz

And slowly, without fanfare, with no chaos, quietly, Russia is letting the cat out of the bag.  This is the real reply on Kushner and Wikoff’s visit, the telephone call with Trump, as well as the previous visit of the CIA Director, John Ratcliffe.  All the rest of what we saw, the visits to Kiev, the descriptions of wonderful and produtive discussions and so on, was made up of spin.

Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov says he has not seen any US roadmap for ending the war in Ukraine.

Ushakov called on Washington to halt its assistance to Kiev as a condition for ending the war.

Israel is expected to take retaliatory measures against France and other countries that imposed sanctions against Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, similar to actions taken against the United Kingdom.

Francesca Albanese:  “I welcome the stance taken by the UK government on Israel’s occupation and its illegality. A much-needed beginning, even if it does not yet reverse all policies undermining Palestinian self-determination. May the UK government and people hold firm. The pressure will be fierce.”

In the EU: EU PURSUES CLOSER DEFENSE TIES WITH ISRAEL – Hypocrisy on Full Display

Brussels is deepening military and technological cooperation with Israel – despite its own ministers calling Israeli settlements illegal and Israel’s actions in Gaza a “stain on the conscience of the world.”

🛡️ The EU is looking to Israel for high-tech air defence and space capabilities – with the Israel Space Agency chief meeting EU Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva this week.

🔧 Israeli firm Rafael will open a factory producing Iron Dome systems in a former Volkswagen plant in Germany – a major expansion of Israeli defence operations in Europe.

🇬🇷 Greece struck a €3 billion deal with Israel’s Defence Ministry to build a multilayered air defence network.

🗣️ Israel Space Agency chief Shimrit Maman: “It’s very hard to do things on your own.”

One more:   Israel has deepened its ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb-dominated Republika Srpska, opening an Israeli Chamber of Commerce office in Banja Luka as its international isolation over the Gaza genocide grows.  The move strengthens relations with the entity’s separatist leadership and reflects Israel’s efforts to build new political and economic partnerships in the Balkans.

So there you have it. This is a challenge for anyone on the site. Challenge me on my way out theory that Pax Judaica is integrating with Pax Americana with a view to a take-over philosophically. We can open a special thread in the Hearty Salon. 😁

Israel shuts British consulate, bars UK officials after settlement sanctions

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Tuesday that Israel would close Britain’s consulate in occupied East Jerusalem following London’s announcement of sanctions on goods produced in Jewish settlements.

This follows Isn’treal’s approval of 1,200 new settler homes under the E1 plan — effectively splitting the West Bank from East Jerusalem.

Saar also said Britain would be excluded from the US-led coordination mission for Gaza based in Israel, while British training of Palestinian Authority forces in the occupied West Bank would be halted. He added that some elected UK officials and other British nationals would be barred from entering Israel.

“The British move is morally distorted, and constitutes blatant interference in the affairs of a sovereign state and its electoral process,” Saar said, describing statements made earlier by UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband as “outrageous lies.”

📌 OK, not that I worry too much about Britain, but I cannot help but be thankful that somebody started sanctions of some kind.  The world needs to stop trading with the zionist regime.  The issue with the Brits is bigger though.  Israel complained bitterly because Britain is extracting oil around the Malvina Islands / Falkland islands.  The Israelis say that these islands belong to Argentina.  Historically this has been a bitter disagreement between the Brits and Argentina and you may remember Britain and the Falklands war during the time of Maggie Thatcher, the Iron Lady.   Of course the Brits are the colonial master, but these words from the Israelis?  I am consistently amazed at how well those zionists use both or six sides of an issue to pretend their total innocence.  This started when the Israelis started burning large swathes of forest land in Argentina, in order to buy up at pennies on the dollar.  Forest land was not open to buy in Argentina, as older growth forests are protected.  So, they burnt it down to make a case that it is used land and therefore open to buy.

What about the other 11 countries out of the 12 (reported below)?  We could hope Israel ends up with very few consulates left, if they follow the same procedure.

Let’s however not let them get away with their blindness and dumbness on Gaza.  One little sanction may be good, but there is a hsitory to look at.

Twelve countries have announced sanctions targeting Israel’s illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, amid Israel’s ongoing seizure of Palestinian land and forced displacement of Palestinians.

The countries are the UK, France, Canada, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

The measures come as Israeli settlers, backed by the occupation, continue expanding settlements, seizing Palestinian land and driving Palestinian families from their homes and communities.

Israel’s War Minister Katz said he and Netanyahu have instructed the army to prepare for a “full-scale war” against what he claimed as “terrorism” in the occupied West Bank, according to Israel’s public broadcaster. The directive signals a potential escalation of Israeli military attacks across the territory. Two days ago, Israeli media reported that army chief Eyal Zamir has ordered troops to raise their state of alert in the occupied West Bank.

The moment when Putin’s 3 day ceasefire on Kiev expired:

Martyanov watched the timing and says:  Russia are very punctual, first Geraniums arrived at Kiev at 23:59, one minute before expiration of pause. At exactly 00:00 hours fireworks started. Ballistic and cruise missiles (including 3M22 Zircons) followed shortly after that.

Last night, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive strike with ground- and air-based high-precision weapons, attack drones, which hit the facilities of the Ukrainian defence industry, logistics and storage centres, military facilities in Kiev and Kiev region, as well as a ship delivering military supplies intended for the support of the AFU at the port of Chernomorsk, and facilities producing UAVs and power plants in the city of Odessa and Odessa region.

💥The following targets were engaged

📍In Kiev:

▪️the missile unit and component plant (JSC Kiev Radio Plant, LLC Trimen-Ukraine), which produced components for reconnaissance and attack UAVs, including long-range ones used to launch strikes against civilian objects on the territory of Russia;

▪️the industrial enterprise (Reinforced Concrete Structures Plant No. 1) on the territory of which combat units are manufactured for Flamingo FP-5 missiles, long-range UAVs, including FP-2 of Fire Point Company;

▪️the industrial enterprise (LLC Element UA), which produces and stores components for medium-range Hornet attack UAVs;

▪️the ‘Ukrspetssystems’ commercial and depot complex, where reconnaissance Shark UAVs and medium-range attack UAVs are assembled and stored;

▪️one long- and medium-range unmanned aerial vehicle assembly workshop.

📍In Kiev region:

▪️the industrial enterprise (LLC Warbirds of Ukraine) in the city of Belaya Tserkov, which produces unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes. At this enterprise, the Warbirds of Ukraine company developed and tested TRX UAVs with combat range of 450 km;

▪️the Khimtransagro logistics centre in Shkarovka, which is used to deliver and distribute military supplies, including components for unmanned aerial vehicles of various types;

▪️the R-Plast logistics centre in the city of Belaya Tserkov, which produced and stored ammunition for medium- and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. It was the largest logistics hub of the Smart Ammunition company.

▪️In addition, in Kiev region, the Vasilkov airbase of the AFU, a fuel and lubricants depot in Borispol, and a radio and technical reconnaissance centre of the Ukrainian Security Service in Markhalevka were hit.

📍In Odessa region, the following targets are engaged:

▪️in the city of Odessa, one assembly workshop and one depot for the storage of unmanned aerial vehicles;

▪️in the port of Chernomorsk, a tanker delivering fuel and lubricants to support the AFU.

▪️In addition, the Dnestrovskaya electric substation, which operates the ports of Ukraine, has been hit in Odessa region.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The kill count continues to rise across Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and Syria. Children are targets. Taking a look at the sequential killing spree this morning, the increase in bombing, shooting, droning, killing, destruction, abduction by the death cult, was visible to the eye. The last 6 hours or so, I saw 50+ reports of what is clearly a genocidal killing spree increasing in ferocity and blood lust. Let me repeat what Jared Kushner said after his Ukraine meeting yesterday: Kushner says:

KUSHNER: We’re working through some political issues in Israel.  They just have a crazy election and that makes them a little irrational in certain regards.

This is what ‘a little irrational’ looks like:

In just the last two weeks, the killing of children across Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and Syria has reached another horrifying level. Initial reports indicate that American and Israeli attacks are killing an average of around seven children every day across these fronts. Some are killed instantly in airstrikes, shelling, and drone attacks, while many others die later from their wounds, burns, displacement, starvation, or the long-term consequences of war.

Since October 2023, the killing toll from American-Israeli genocidal campaigns, together with the massacres carried out by their regional allies, including HTS terrorists in the occupied Syria, has crossed an initial estimate of 100,000 children.

Gaza alone has witnessed the killing of nearly 50 thousand children. In Lebanon, children continue to die from Israeli airstrikes, drone attacks, and even cluster munitions left behind after bombardments. In Iran, children have also become victims of direct American attacks, including the massacre in Sirik, where an American strike targeted a wedding ceremony and killed children alongside civilians. The massacres in Minab and Lamard added even more innocent victims to this growing list.

The names continue to grow. Muhammad Ali Ibrahim, a child from Haboush in southern Lebanon, was killed after an Israeli cluster munition exploded. Lama Mohammed Habib, a Palestinian child, was killed in an Israeli strike in the Al-Katiba area of western Gaza City while families had gathered only to collect water. A baby was also killed after an Israeli strike destroyed a residential building in southern Lebanon, and many more children remain trapped under rubble or fighting for their lives in hospitals.

This is no longer a collection of isolated incidents spread across different countries. It is one continuous pattern of violence stretching from Gaza to southern Lebanon, from Sirik in Iran to Syria’s devastated towns. Children have become the most vulnerable victims of a war that continues to expand across West Asia under the framework of American and Israeli terrorism, while the world continues to witness the destruction of an entire generation.

Forgive me.  We do not usually post images of killings, but let this lone one stand.   There are many more.  Of the alt reporters, George Galloway keeps reporting and there are but a handful that keep reporting.

💬 “A peaceful settlement on Ukraine cannot be ruled out, but no concrete prerequisites have emerged so far,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Other key statements:

▫️ Russia’s stance on the terms of a settlement with Ukraine, as laid out by Putin two years ago, remains unchanged

▫️ Any facilities producing Western weapons on Ukrainian soil will be regarded as legitimate targets for Russian forces

▫️ Russia has taken note of the plans by Germany and France to develop long-range missile and drone systems

Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the twink and the midget in Ukraine yesterday made the gorge rise.  It was so wonderful for them.  The train ride was so good and evoked memories.  The discussions were so friendly.  They did not have to present the Russian stance to Ukraine (and the Europeans were present, great Britain, France and Germany.)  And soon a trilateral will be announced, so they say, completely in ecstasy with their own message.

Besides confirming the looming theft of Gaza, Kushner promised major rebuilding for Ukraine, through Blackrock and similar.  Do you see it yet?  This is not a peace negotiation, but if they cannot rape Russia again for right now, they will rape Ukraine, and remain firmly on Russia’s borders.  It is the same playbook as in West Asia.   These people are boringly dangerous and they are there to continue the aims of Greater Israel and US primacy.

Commentators are bitterly asking why on earth would Russia even speak to the two tweedles.  Well, it is two biggest nuclear armed countries.  Instead of criticizing Russia, we can be thankful at this stage that Russia still talks.

Compare with Peskov’s comment that Russia’s stance re settlement remains unchanged, take note of Lavrov’s comment that Germany is preparing for war against Russia, and read Naryshkin:

Collective West working to undermine international law – Russian intel chief

Other statements by Sergey Naryshkin:

🟠 Some Western countries are trying to weaken the international legal system

🟠 CIS intelligence agencies will boost cooperation to counter unfriendly states

🟠 EU countries are directly participating in hostilities on Ukraine’s side

🟠 EU rapidly moving away from integration, turning into a Russophobic grouping

🟠 Russian forces in Kaliningrad and western borders will prevent any aggression

Iran invokes Article 51 of UN Charter to defend retaliatory strikes against US bases

Iran has formally asserted that its retaliatory military operations against US bases in the region are entirely legitimate acts of sovereign self-defense grounded in international law, according to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.

Addressing reporters, Baghaei stated that Tehran’s actions are a direct and necessary response to an ongoing US naval blockade and a “full-scale economic war.”

He emphasized that the military response falls squarely within the framework of the inherent right to self-defense outlined under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

Baghaei further argued that Washington’s aggressive military postures, coupled with resultant civilian casualties and the killing of children, completely invalidate any moral or legal standing behind US claims of victimhood, framing Tehran’s strategy as a justified defense of national sovereignty against US aggression.  Report from The Cradle

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Up to now, this daily report focused on Russia, Ukraine and the growing war in West Asia.  This is not all in the drang nach primacy:

Trilateral drills begin near Jeju

Japan, South Korea and the United States on Monday launched a trilateral multi-domain exercise running through Friday in international waters east and south of Jeju. The Freedom Edge drills include real-time data sharing and synchronized maritime and aviation coordination, while North Korea condemned them as part of Washington’s hostile policy.

The exercise is the fourth since Freedom Edge was established in 2024 and follows a five-day edition last year. It comes after last month’s annual South Korea-U.S. exercise was shortened from an originally planned 11 days after U.S. President Donald Trump said the drills were costly and could send the wrong signals to North Korea.

The latest drills indicate continued trilateral military coordination despite recent pressure to limit allied exercises on the peninsula. North Korea said it would respond with the toughest stand.

There is a corollary to these drills.  Russia, China & Mongolia hold joint border defense exercise

The exercises, involving UAVs, helicopters, and infantry units, simulate a joint response to armed incursions across the tri-border area. This marks the second such operation conducted by the three neighboring nations.

A Defense Mobilization Office for China – the interaction between civil society and militaay in times of war

China’s National Development and Reform Commission has set up a National Defense Mobilization Department ahead of the revised National Defense Mobilization Law taking effect in October, according to the agency’s published description. The new unit will handle overall coordination, planning, and implementation supervision for defense mobilization, and support the daily work of the national mobilization commission.

China last month approved the first major revision of the law in 16 years, formally defining defense mobilization as the conversion of economic and social capacity into defense capacity. The revised framework also brings advanced technology and emerging sectors into the system, further institutionalizing a structure linking the military, local governments, enterprises, and research bodies for peacetime resource control and wartime conversion.

Under the revised law, the national defense mobilization commission is responsible for organizing nationwide mobilization, drafting national plans, and preparing overall implementation contingencies. The NDRC’s new office indicates a clearer division between military personnel mobilization and civilian resource mobilization.  https://www.zaobao.com.sg/news/china/story20260907-9637384
