Along with MSM I deliberately follow some extreme MAGA accounts on twitter just so I can see this narrative of lies. But it is extremely powerful. I have a friend, not close, who I get some time with every couple of months. He wants to know the truth of what is going on in the world, but doesn’t have to time for deep exploration, and every time we meet he asks me about these narratives. Because they are the dominant narrative here in America. Impossible to escape if you are just following the normal news other Americans follow.

The lies are incredible. I said it was a lie, but it’s a lie that has no proof, so it also can’t be “disproved”. I said, like I always say, that I’m much more concerned about the actual torture that the USA and Israel commit on the regular. So what’s the deal, we are now attacking other countries for supposedly doing things that we have been proven to do already? Not convincing to him. In his mind, now, the IRGC is evil, and not representing the Iranian people.
Honestly, I walked away from our conversation yesterday thinking what you are thinking – that things are going to get much, much worse. He wanted to bet me on whether or not first world countries would be in a famine within a set period of time, like within one year. He says no, Trump is playing 5d chess. I didn’t make the bet, but I probably should have.
