    of secret police and gangs and stuff…longtimeago I worked with a Cuban guy who explained how his middle class family supported Castro…the Batista gang acted like the ICE gang…later when Castro disappointed his family, he was back in Cuba, with explosives and a gun for the Bay of Pigs fiasco…supposed to blow a bridge someplace…anyway he described Cuba under Batista… Some of his attitudes toward the poor people, and the poor girls especially, in Havana I found rather disagreeable… and I thought him naive, classist, but courageous. I suppose he’s dead now…it was along time ago…
