This matter was discussed here in the past, but people come and go, the chemistry is sound…oil and gas are mineral substances and the synthesis of the various molecular forms is investigated.
The term theory is so abused in popular speech as to beggar meaning. Webster’s even includes belief and conjecture as “theory”… Wiki does only a bit better…

Thus it is possible to say, as some proffer, that the idea “that Venus was ejected from Jupiter and caused cataclysms on Earth, allegedly raining hydrocarbons (oil) down upon the planet.” is a “theory”, when it is provable that it is a false notion, indeed absurd.
When solid rational mechanisms and objective facts are mentioned in support of a statement, and the response does not ask for the source… but instead dismisses the matter with meaningless reply, the author is informed that the reader is of closed mind, disinclined to know. Such baits are part of pedagogy. Alert men know this, and ask for sources and proofs.
Many, many, times petroleum is called a “fossil”. Wiki calls it that. The phrase “fossil fuel” is endlessly repeated…like “evil dictator” or “freedom and democracy” … gradually the public is induced to accept the idea, however imaginary and false. Rational and thoughtful men, however, notice, and question the correctness. They seek rectification of names. As to why oil is falsely named…well, a theory might lead to money and manipulation… but that’s another topic…
Of oil, and the naming as “fossil”… a rational fellow says: “oh? Is it?” What evidence exists for this “theory” stated as fact?

Alert readers may note that oil is referred to as a mineral... not a fossil.
Do read the detailed scientific evidence I have given, and do always suspect slogans oft and endless repeated as mantras. Clear thinking requires rectification of names.

ParticipantThe overall thermal efficiency of a combustion powerplant is rarely 50%. From the power output (at best that’s half of the input energy) something like 10% is lost in transformers and long transmission lines, substations, and so on. Electric car batteries are not very efficient either, they lose quite a bit in charging…and there are numerous other losses. But efficiency is only one part. The absolute power requirement is very significant, basically the mass of the car. We see that electric bicycles make sense. In cars with combustion engines it’s rare to get 40% – the rule is 33% efficiency. We must reckon with the losses between oil well, refinery, and local filling station. Refineries use quite a lot of oil and gas just to run…but light weight cars that burn diesel or petrol and go 100 miles per gallon make sense. These are not imaginary…they’re buildable and pretty cheap. It comes down to a complex calculus as to what’s best in a given situation. Electric urban rail seems to me like a very good idea, and very thrifty. It worked very well in Los Angeles before and during WW2. That said, it’s fun to have a little pickup or car that mostly doesn’t get used, but is handy for specific jobs… and even powerful motorcycles get over 50 miles per gallon….they don’t have the mass of a car, be it electric or combustion. I object to the term “fossil fuel”. Petroleum is not a fossil fuel. Coal is. It’s absolutely clear, proved, that petroleum is the product of planetary outgassing of primordial methane….the entire chemical sequence is established.

ParticipantMy friend, our opinions differ in emphasis and degree, but they’re within the range of reconciliation. The nazi army does not attempt to change climate, only weather, and of course their work and human activities affect the weather. But climate changes, such as the sudden cooling that froze vast areas almost overnight, occurred before the industrial age. Climate has never been static. Naturally the fascist forces attempt to colonize every process, climate change included. I too noticed the covid skies, with pleasure, and also the silence here at Anoxia.

It probably also varies with the out-gassing of the Earth, mostly CH3, variations in atmospheric water vapor, and the “solar winds”… this set of thesis builds on the Serbian boffin Milankovitch… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milankovitch_cycles. Planetary influences include all the planets’ effects, tidal and otherwise. Atmospheric concentrations of gases such as CO2 are considered products, not causal…of course the climate is changing. It always has, sometimes very suddenly. The idea that climate change is anthropogenic and manageable by reducing CO2 production is probably humbug, serving those of fascist ambitions to impoverish the multitudes and rule them as slaves. The rational human response is to adapt with planning and building…alas, these days rationality is pretty spotty in west zone. Russia moving into Siberia is rational – and China is rational…with Chinese characteristics. 😉
