The wiki on star-link seems to describe a system that seems highly jammable. However jamming is not necessarily a smart thing to do…and I wonder why it has not been jammed (if it has not)… as in one might expect Russian boffins to be deeper and more subtle…as in the transmitters, at least potentially, are 100% locatable…and this would seem to include particularly the ground stations…as in these cannot be concealed for long. Along the lines of not-jamming, I note Ruskie soldat in 404 now have drone sniff receiver alarms that reveal the birdie nearby. For the same reason cables don’t always get cut. HF does not always get jammed. That said, I expect that the Russian are capable of eliminating star-link with ease, anytime. If so, then that good man elon has a motivation to compromise… lotta money on the table. Note that the birdies use phased array and Hall effect thrusters… jam the orientating function and the birdie is useless, which suggests hacking into the bird’s software as a subtle method…imho, if done right  then the birdies work until they get the command to “execute”…we all know how much fun a surprise can be. I well remember stepping bare-footed on toys in the dark, dog-tired and reading bedtime stories. It does arise that small “nuclear” couples isolated from kin and induced to both work away from the kids…this seems to me a not ideal “family”. Quite possibly nonfunctional in any long period. Indeed, Mrs P and I often discuss the matter of kin and children and best…and generally hold that people are tribal, communal, when they’re in a healthy situation they are a big family… we like 150, to pick a number. But to the ores and the energy… compounding population while resources are finite…this classical notation suggests the matter of both rates and manipulation strategies. It’s self-evident to my eye that the Chinese are correct in their approach, which is to say that they will prevail and can manage to keep stability. And as we agree that the ladies can be manipulated, what remains is, I imagine, the question of Justice. Such manipulation must not be unjust, as that would undermine stability. It’s probably reasonable to ask how this result may be brought about in the multitude of nations and cultures in ways consistent with the good, with justice, with their customs and ways, and stability. But there’s lots of time.

First though, because one cannot build while having things get blown to bits or stolen are wrecked…the nazi pirate lairs are going to be reformed, one way or another. Then  (Alas, no rail along the westcoast? We’ll have to check with cartographic fellas, calling Comrade Xi… 😉 )

A Memo… reading this through the beady eyes of Churchill! This memo is imho foundational to the cold war…Winston wanted to attack USSR, and the bomb would let him do it! It explains the feasibility of creating an atomic weapon. Frisch and Peierls also argue that no other weapon could match a nuclear bomb, and stress the importance of producing such a weapon for counter-threats if not for actual use.

The attached detailed report concerns the possibility of constructing a “super-bomb” which utilizes the energy stored in atomic nuclei as a source of energy. The energy liberated in the explosion of such a super-bomb is about the same as that produced by the explosion of 1000 tons of dynamite.
