According to Baza’s sources, such an order was given to employees of a number of law enforcement agencies, as well as officials of the presidential administration and the Russian government. In addition, according to sources, such an order was given to senior officials of the Russian Defense Ministry, as well as some major businessmen.

At the same time, some of the officials interviewed by Baza said that they had not received any instructions to delete the correspondence. However, they expect such instructions from their superiors as early as next Monday or Tuesday.

An interesting thought arises too. Let us assume that “encrypted”, that’s to say not plain-text, not readily readable, “message traffic” is intercepted by a putative opponent. He must assume that there is actually a real message hidden in the traffic. This will occupy him for some period greater than zero in an attempt to decipher.  A machine driven by a genuine random number generator can produce meaningless “message traffic” faster than the opponent can attempt to decipher.  Thus the “traffic” mass itself becomes the haystack. A sort of metacrypto mass of “hay”. The design and construction of such machines from non-hackable discrete electronic components is a trivial undertaking for any bright undergraduate familiar with electronics.

Why would an intercept be regarded as containing a hidden message? The characteristic of the origin of the transmission, the local, would seem like a reasonable cause for suspicion. The film, above, which I posted, Johnny Cool, despite several dramatic defects, is based on a Faustian seduction, subornation.
