Ok, do what?
Protesting is not necessarily peaceful, is it? I seem to remember some pretty violent protests, Chicago 1968, for example. Kent State – the kids burned down the ROTC building. At Chicago mostly cops protesting the protests, but not solely cops. The French protests are generally violent, they say. It’s traditional, gasoline, and guillotines an’ stuff. When the people in India protested, the British shot them dead, iirc.
Well, times change, but will, collective or individual, without agency seems like wishfullness , and in the present “west” world, more or less ruled by what Engels called a “Free State”, (more like a cabal, but nevertheless unresponsive to any will but their own) what “power” can be mustered?
In Marx’s time, he seems to have thought the protest power of the people to derive from actual physical weapons. Maybe then it did.

Comrade Mao expressed it more bluntly. “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” (1927, iirc) (Mao went on to justify by this principle that only the Communist Party must be armed, never the people.)
As I said, times change, the servile agencies of the ruling elite, and even of their lesser servants, pretty much dominate the use of weapons. imho the workers, the proletariat, and the bourgeois, are totally outgunned. Weapons are useless against the agency of the State. They have, perhaps some heroic value in terms of immediate self-defense against small time criminal assault, but the fella is slated for a world of legal trouble, almost sure to spend time in jail, and liable to lose whatever money and property he may have. Weapons are as useless as protests, maybe worse.
As we see to-day, even being near a street protest identifies, rightly or wrongly, an individual as marked by the State. Protesting itself is criminalized.
I do suppose it feels nice though, as if you’d “done something”. Nice until the cops come anyway, possibly with the SWAT team at 2 AM. They’ll “do something”.
They can take everything, and they can kill you. Anytime. Me? I never protest. I have no political opinions whatsoever. I’m simply a witness to history, a bit as Victor Klemperer was for the Third Reich, so also for the 4th, until that’s gone too.
You see, a “Free State” is immune to any outside reality, which is to say that over time the individuals of a cabal become ever more the victims of their own fetid dreams, ever more delusional. Like the hustler, who himself becomes his own mark, they finally run up against reality. They crap out.
There are, we see, opposing agencies to this delusional cadre I call a Free State..and they have armies, modern armies, and nuclear rockets, and scientists… I shall leave the protesting to those with the will and the ability to “do something”. I’m quite sure that they will. They are.

The vaccine being given to Palestinian children in Gaza is nOPV2, that is, novel oral polio vaccine, focusing on type 2 polio. Prior oral vaccines have been problematic. They contain attenuated (weakened) polio virus. This can be problematic since, as The Journal of Infectious Diseases noted in 2013: “With prolonged replication, attenuated polioviruses used in oral polio vaccine (OPV) can mutate into vaccine-derived poliovirus (VDPV) and cause poliomyelitis [polio] outbreaks.”
OPV was typically given in poorer countries. In rich counties like the US, what has been given is IPV which is made with inactive polio virus and given intramuscularly (an injection), not orally.
According to the Polio Global Eradication Initiative (whose partners include the WHO, CDC and the Gates Foundation), the outbreak in Gaza is from Egypt. Curiously, the Initiative claims “the variant poliovirus could have been introduced in Gaza as early as September 2023” — that is, prior to Oct. 7. The Egyptian polio outbreak according to a recent article in BMC Infectious Diseases came from a “vaccine-derived polioviruses”. As head of a non-secular state he must present this unit in context of common scriptural law. As a believer he must also do so.
