“Another AFD candidate died on the eve of the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is the fourth death in this land,” the publication says.

The fourth victim was the direct candidate for the city council from AFD, Ralph Lange. According to local authorities, the ballots issued in the relevant district are no longer valid. The party itself was allowed to nominate a new candidate.

Among them, Stefan Berendes, the party’s candidate for the city council of Bad Lipsping, as well as candidates in North Rhine-Westphalia and Schwerte, died.
