I want to have a lazy day, so I picked this up.  She has some things to say about the White Lotus Rebellion back in the Ming Dynasty – a Buddhist rebellion where the serfs rebelled against their dynasty lords.  She also calls on the Chinese to help search for specific information, but says that she knows that the Chinese may not watch YouTube.  So, the Ming Dynasty is long, I mean about 300 years before the period that she is interested in.  And the Jesuits only got going seriously with translations of Chinese philosophical works much later than the White Lotus Rebellion.  There is no overlap there.

The very first Chinese philosophy that I read was translated by the Jesuits – so, the Church could not wack me too hard. There is no diplomatic reason at all for such a move.  There is no reason why Russia should put offensive weaponry where there is not an overt threat to them.  They may bring in defensive – but Iran has that covered.

This was true in the matter of Cuba and Kennedy…there was no threat to the USSR in the matter of Cuba, nor is there a threat to Rus in the matter of Venezuela. It is true that the US says “defensive”. They also say that their war department is the Department of Defense”. The missiles in Poland, etc, reside in canisters. These can contain several types of missiles, interceptors and also nuclear attack missiles. As the Russians have said many times, one type can be change to another in about 30 minutes. Which sort is in a specific canister is not discernible, neither is what type will be there 30 minutes later…

These systems are at least as threatening as the Jupiters were in the matter of the “Cuban Missile Crises”.

It follows that at some point the Kremlin will position Oreshniks proximate to CONUS, as ostentatiously as possible, for the same reasons that the Soviets put missiles in Cuba…though the Soviets, because of the time it took in those simple days, were discovered before their planned announcement. Venezuela is probably a suitable place, and now a suitable opportunity, to do this.

I’m more into what Russia says.  Not sure if it was Sweden or Switzerland at the time about a year ago that announced missile batteries.  The Russian response was that they do not know what they are doing, because the Russian missiles will now be aimed at them.  All that I know from the Russian formal talk, is that they keep the actual country responsible, and not even NATO.  One could pick this up in speeches and for me, it is something that I picked up clearly – Russia’s use of a direct one-to-one relationship on these issues.

But we can always take a bet.  Today the Venezuela issue was quiet – I mean the on the ground issue and the US talk.

Ok, it’s different. The US missile bases in Europe are, include, US bases, the guidance comes from US satellites. The war 404 plan came from Rand Corp iirc, or US think-tanks anyway. As it is, the Oreshnik gambit would be for theater – as the submarines cruise along the US coasts always and all ready to fire. The main difference being visibility.  Interestingly, Oreshnik has an additional potential, as it can avoid use of nuclear weapons and still destroy critical nodes in CONUS. If this weapon is used, I expect that the use will first occur in Europe, possibly the control facilities at Ramstein AFB in Germany, or possibly in a UK base…withal, a demonstration – an attempt to change the mind of the nazi institutions of the “west”. Like Sleboda, I don’t hold out much hope for that sort of change. It may be that the hope is for such disorder to develop in the US that the institutions will be constrained by “domestic” and financial trouble. As it is, the Orange guy is using troops in DC and this is expected to extend to the cities generally. Disorder can probably be controlled. The war, which Sleboda calls W3, and says it began in 2008, will continue. My view is that the war began when Groves said “the bomb is for Russia”….but Mark probably, being younger, is sure of himself. I dispute Sleboda’s suggested, implied, belief that the occupation of Germany and Japan changed very much. In both examples the fascist upper classes and the criminal rank and file nazis were quickly integrated into the US establishments, as in Organization Galen, and the Japanese mafia, etc. They even “pardoned” the Japanese germ war guys and put them to work murdering Koreans and Chinese in Korea. It is different, I agree. If Oreshnik comes to Venezuela the pretence will have vaporised. For now we’ll wait for the surprise, or the statement. Ending the pretense would be a change in policy. The pretense is what makes it not the Cuban model.

But, we have time to wait, and I’d rather wait for more ground under the feet than speculate.   I still don’t see any ships coming over the horizon toward Venezuela.  This all may also be a pretense and I’m keeping a gap in my head for that lol.   So far, the US has not taken Greenland or the Panama Canal or whatever else they wanted.

Doing a bit of research and this question is questionable to ask of my weapons and war expert source.

I’m searching for something more in depth .. i.e., how heavy is the missile?  is it only from a fixed launcher, or can I push it around in a cart and shoot from where-ever?  And with what launcher if I wanted to do that?  What is it best suited for?  Yeah, I know ground based targets but can we shoot it into a ship and why would we do that?  there are better ones for this purpose yes? no?   The temperature that it reaches as it hits a target is quite staggering –

I’m looking into what missiles Venezuela has available from Iran.  Now the nuance in the region is that it is and will remain a Zone of Peace, and non-nuclear.  So, the Oreshnik can be loaded with nuclear warheads.  And we have a similar situation as with Iran where by religiously they do not stand for weapons of mass destruction.  For the LAC region, China is strongly supporting the concept of a Zone of Peace and on the basis of that standing strongly for Venezuela and the region.  .

Do you perhaps have stats hidden somewhere?   I have a whole bunch of questions but not a direction yet.  The assumption (more than an assumption really) is that the Zone of Peace does not want these types of weapons as they do not want to use them, similar to Iran.  Once I have my own mind cleared a bit, I can approach some expert, both on the missile as well as check clearly what the Zone of Peace means.  Venezuela has now asked for UN support – again on the basis of being threatened while in a Zone of Peace.

Thank you kindly, dear. I will try. First let  me say that your idea the “it’s not the same” is, I think, correct. It is a similar juxtaposition, but different. For one thing, Khrushchev was rash and tried to operate in secret. Putin isn’t sneaky or rash. Another reason is that Khrushchev and USSR did not have the best quietest missile submarines in history, Russia does. I expect Oreshnik to become dispersed eventually, but at this time it would not be appropriate in Venezuela. Probably several reasons. 1) it is not necessary. 2)It is not requested. 3)And it is a provocative machine. Another reason is that from Siberia Oreshnik can hit most of the continental US, including the ICBM silos. Even such dire realities have not restrained the western Imperial Ambitions, so far. Another dire reality is that those Russian nuclear submarines right now prowl the depth of the seas, some almost in sight of the US mainland. Oreshnik is “near” strategic weapon, ‘medium range”, as they say. Not an intercontinental weapon.

The mass at launch is estimated to be 50 tons. It is carried on a special multi-wheeled transporter. It can be launched from reasonably firm dirt roads in forests, or anywhere, Launch probably takes 30 minutes or so.

This is an atomic explosion that releases far more energy that the basic kinetic event. If that happens it will be garrisoned as it lies on a critical cross-road on the north-south highway and railroads. As it is the cops scan automatically the highway traffic for “suspect” vehicles, the cameras read the license plates along the highway, and there is only one road (well, I know some long winding one lane ways ’round…but those don’t matter. Cops are looking for dope runners, and find them too…the cameras go all the way to the border, both ways. And they’re tied to computer systems.  Anyway, the cops have an armored car, machine guns, and the army or national guard would simply set up roadblocks.

Yes, I read  Schryver. He also allowed that drones would seem to make sense, simply no credible evidence. The idea was mooted in that dialogue that the ships may be essentially diversionary, and that there exist sappers and so forth, saboteurs, on the ground. If so, the big plan might be to murder Maduro and some key people and then seize the state with the marines as “police”. We’ll know soon enough. The decent big powers don’t want to see the US steal Venezuela, there’s probably a lot going on that we don’t and ought not see.

Years ago, speaking of Cuba, Putin was quoted in Pravda as saying “the missiles are back in Cuba”. I can’t find it now, but at the time I explored what he meant. The quote is genuine. It was ambiguous, but essentially meant that when he sent a TU160 intercontinental bomber to Havana, he sent modern missiles. Not to unload, but as the arms the airplane carries. He went on speaking of “the latest complex oak” and so on, and said rhetorically “We’ll see how they like that!” I probably saved a copy of that research, but it’s in a disused computer that went funny on me and became non useable. Putin’s point seems to have been that he can send atomic weapons to Cuba whenever he likes, and has done so….and the enemy did nothing. At that time Fidel was still alive. I don’t have any idea how the Cubans would recieve a repeat. Withal, anywhere a TU160 goes, it’s able to do about as much damage as the Soviet rockets would have done in 1962, at similar range.

I think that if Orlov’s right about the physics, and I can’t see how he might be wrong, regarding coulomb effect, then similar weapons with shorter range, possibly air-launched, may be expected. It mostly just has to be very fast and have a hard thing on the nose, probably a tungsten alloy. The Ruskie boffins must be burning th’ ol’ midnight oil and having fun with their license to build and invent. My guess is that they are after Maduro for regime change and a grab of the Essequibo oil fields.  It will be easier said than done, as Maduro’s police and soldiers love him and will defend him fiercely.  This is not their first rodeo.  But we have to wait.  There have to be plans to safeguard Maduro.

I have reviewed all the information now, as well as what I needed to check out from the regional CELAC agreement regarding a Zone of Peace.  I can understand that there is hesitation or a non-acceptance of the concept, but these countries generally live in peace.  What I specifically needed to verify was the agreement regarding their statements about external attacks.  The answer is that this is an internal agreement between+- 33 countries.  Externalities are not documented.

Just to recap this thing a little … It was good for the region, and they did not fight one another.  Border differences were resolved, and we know that the countries did not engage in conflict or attack one another. The CELAC agreement was signed in 2014, so it has been in effect for several years.  The only border problem is the one between Venezuela and Guyana – on Essequibo, and that is not a Guyana problem, but it is fanned by the major gas companies and their cronies and countries.  So, the agreement did away and made ineffective the previous Monroe Doctrine Boss, the OAS, Organization of American States.  CELAC kinda killed that one, agreed between the LAC countries.

Conceptually, it was a positive development, and the only border issue that remains is the Essequibo one.  A long story, but it belongs to Venezuela – more than 100 years old agreements from old colonial times.   So Guyana was used (British influence) to deny and mess, and as usual, lawfare the thing.  It is still sitting in some court or another, and the de facto control is even disputed.  It is an area as big as Florida with much oil and certainly other riches, very sparsely populated.  The dispute has been ongoing with the first international tribunal in 1899.  Fascinating history if one is into stuff like that.

At the time, Venezuela was a young country, less than nine decades old. It was represented by the United States, then an ally, during the proceedings. Guyana, still a colony, was backed by the United Kingdom.

A Russian judge, appointed as a neutral arbitrator, ultimately ruled in favour of British Guyana — a verdict Venezuela has never accepted, alleging it was rigged.  Over the past few years, Venezuela has attempted to make peace and reach an agreement through CELAC on multiple occasions, but the issue of oil and its influence on Guyana has been the obstacle.

So besides that one, the concept of Zone of Peace worked for the region.  If we compare with say the Middle East or West Asia, it was something that people treasured and it worked.   It is integrated with UN international law, looks exactly like multipolarity and in short;

So, I am not advocating.  All I am saying is that for a good number of years, this concept worked, and it is very active as a rule of thumb in the region to this day.  There are very few regions in our world that can boast of such a successful agreement.

I often muse on whether such an agreement could exist in the West Asian countries, and how it would not allow for the existence of a genocide.

The largest ammunition production plant in Europe, built by the Rheinmetall AG in the area of Unterlus (Lower Saxony), begins work on Wednesday.

The company plans to reach full capacity by 2027 – then the plant will be able to produce up to 350K units of ammunition per year. The company also plans to assemble rocket artillery installations there starting in 2026.

The plant was laid out in early 2024 and was supposed to be launched in late spring or summer of the same year, but construction was delayed.

However, Rheinmetall AG has completed construction of another large factory in Weeze near the border with the Netherlands, where fuselage compartments for F-35 fighter-bombers will be assembled.

On Monday, Rheinmetall AG also announced its intention to build ammunition production facilities in Bulgaria, along with a gun powder factory. The company has its own branches in Spain and Hungary, and yet another one is being built in Lithuania; negotiations on cooperation with the government of Latvia are also underway. Besides, the company maintains a tank repair facility in Ukraine.

Sometimes the author of the newsletter below writes of his life and family in zone 404…since the pace of the war quickens to victory and the “action” in Dinpro is spoken of in Military Summary above, this letter seems worth posting, from Locals… I’ve read many of these letters, and believe they’re genuine…nevertheless, with salt is best…

START “30 August, Dnipro, Morning.

Was a whole night of air raid alarms last night, started around 7 pm, with the last explosions around 430 am. It’s starting to get fairly normal now, and when the explosions start it’s kind of comforting in a weird sort of way. None close to our compound, didn’t even bother the dogs thankfully. Some airdefence but as a friend who operates a PVO unit told me, they really just fire to let everyone know they are awake now. The past week has seen a series of attacks, and the level of damage they are doing to industrial enterprises is starting to take a toll. For those who are unsure of what Russia is targeting, i can tell you they only target military complex or infrastructure, and they are deadly accurate. One of our iT staff in Kiev confirmed to me that one of the apartment buildings struck in Friday mornings attack was a legitimate target, and it destroyed the target. A second holding was hit by a PVO interceptor. The Kiev cabal continues to place drone assembly and other military facilities in apartment complexes and very near to civilian buildings. I was in Kiev last week and went to stay at a hotel in town as I had an early mtg the next day in the centre, and it is too hard to get across the river in the morning, and as i pulled into the street it was blocked by military. I pointed out i needed to get to the hotel as my car required secure parking, and I was told I couldn’t. I went around a back entrance I know, and double parked so I could go and ask reception, and they confirmed the parking was closed to anyone without a pass which they gave me. When I asked security why there was military in the street, including a Bradley and BTR, he told me that the building next door had been commandeered by the sbu/gru. This is in an area surrounded by high rise buildings, in an elite part of Kiev. I gave them back my pass, and went back across the river to our apartment for the night.

I have also done a few trips west to pick up medical supplies these past few weeks, and one to help with a evacuation, and I can confirm military supplies continue to flow, at similar levels as before. In one convoy under police escort there were five trucks with containers on the back plastered with Gepard Tech all over them. What a bunch of clowns ffs.

TCC officers and police have stepped up their attempts to find more ‘volunteers’, a cabinetmaker I use was mobilised the day after I paid him for all the cabinets and kitchen etc for a new home we are building near our compound for extra accomodation. His wife rang me distraught to say he couldn’t finish the job but he had already bought all the materials and she couldn’t afford to pay us back. After assuring her it was fine, and that she could keep the money as we would continue to use him when the war was over, she broke down crying so I sent my partner over to her home to comfort her. Vitaly has two young children and a wife, and despite never having had any training he is forced off to war by half a dozen men who are in the military, with full training, but won’t fight….

There are so many similar stories, it is hard sometimes to ignore them and not be depressed. My hatred for western leaders, and Zelenksy could not get any greater. So too my hatred for trump and his moronic administration for not bringing this to an immediate end by ending all aid to Ukraine and telling Europe they stop the war, or the usa is out of nato and they are on their own. Their own opinion polls in Ukraine show the overwhelming number of Ukrainians want the war ended on any terms, yet still they encourage the fuckwit cokehead and his illegitimate junta.

There is no morale in Ukraine, people just ignore the war as best they can. For those with loved ones fighting they just start every day with prayer which they carry throughout the day. ‘Budiyet OK’ is what they constantly say, which translates as it will be OK, is their only response when you ask if they are OK or need anything.

When I was in the west last week I drove past the Flex factory, it’s completely fucked. We are building a home in Zakarpattia, and when I met with the builders they were shocked that Mukachevo had been struck, and more than a little worried, but all acknowledged the factory was assembling pcbs for drone and mortars.

The outcome of this conflict is not in any doubt, and never has been, and one day all those who pretended otherwise to perpetuate this slaughter, leading to the death and destruction in Ukraine must pay for their duplicity, and stupidity. I don’t believe they are stupid, I don’t believe they ever thought Ukraine could defeat Russia, and as i speak Russian, and like borsch, I for one would like to see Russia continue to the English channel and liberate Europe. I constantly tell those I come in contact with, stop fighting Russia, turn west, and join with them, and march on Calais.

We have had a coldish week the past week, it’s just starting to warm up again now for a few days. Trees are already rapidly changing colour, and autumn is approaching fast. I think it will be an early, and cold winter this year, exactly what Europe needs. ” ENDE
