Participantnot long ago, many bemoaned china’s reticence to engage in directing narrative. imo this channel & a few other AI driven sites drive china’s news stream directed to the west.
many points in this video are noteworthy, one i found interesting was that the uae is now asking india to pay in Yuan not rupees. unlike russia @ the beginning of the smo. is it possible some within brics are hoping to ensure india’s ties are growing ever deeper to brics, not only oil, but with a significant holding of yuan rather than $? another point was that germany, australia, the uae all trade more with china than america.

Participantprofoundly insightful comment, Mr.P!
you are right, undoubtedly a well prepared plan was immediately set in motion but i think it took a generation to die before it could survive full sun. i suspect the turning happened a generation after.
having grown up in the white wasteland, under the love of a father who’d survived normandy, dunkirk & several other follies, i promise those fortune enough to return had nothing good to say about brit commanding officers, nazis, moreover, every veteran i met all shared a life long abiding admiration of russian courage & the debt universally owed.
riding alongside the grief war inevitably kindles there was an unspoken underbelly, a deep suspicion amongst veterans, rarely if ever shared with those who hadn’t been near the front (i was a quiet child with very curious ears), that the root of the war had to do with zionism, a suspicion which they couldn’t begin to unravel, especially those that had seen the camps, for they were real enough; after you’ve survived a war of that magnitude i gather distinguishing a stitch up & the real deal is something you get a sense about.
late nights, when most of the gathering had gone home or fallen gently to sleep in their chairs, with the war stories all done, humour played out, the survivors still far from sleep back on guard duty, would settle like the embers, & gently poked by a glance or a sigh, they’d begin to try to piece together what had happened—how a world they’d loved, sworn their hearts & souls to save had fallen so far from all it had promised. how had it come about? how did it keep repeating?
we’ve come this far is a testament to bernays. it will take decades to reverse, but poverty is a great leveller, & in such circumstances as this, a necessity & God’s gift.

Participantre: the mineral deal. today michael hudson (dialogue works linked on the open thread) provides his read of the mineral deal…michael contends the minerals are a screen & the crux, the devil hidden in the details provides missiles capable of reaching well into russia. escalation assured, charade unwinding.
