commenters on various sites remind us china & mother cannot, will not come to our rescue. that we are fools to expect it. implying i suppose allies are conditional & that personal security is foremost. i see the reality of it, undoubtedly a hard lesson learned over centuries. who can forget mother sacrificing moscow? or syria? essentially this dictum is deeply embedded in all of us, why every flight, domestic or international, begins with the instructions that in case of an emergency to secure our own mask first, before attending to our children or handicapped neighbours.
yet i find myself still back @ the circle K: china’s envoy’s 3hr visit with maduro some time just before his abduction! china can read america’s navy duty roster via beidu…& a day after it had stopped a shipment of himars to taiwan, china sends an envoy to politely assure maduro & affirm that venezuela & china have an unbreakable brotherhood?
