OK .. I don’t know if I’m going to say something that you know already.

CCP does not exist.  It is the CPC – Communist Party of China.  That is usually the first hint that one is working with ‘China Bad’ material unless the person is just not aware.

China is not a one-party state.  There are eight other parties that participate in Chinese policy-making and governance at the highest level.  And at that level, they don’t get elected, but are appointed based on leadership merit.  Lower levels are elected.

China immediately (after a few oopsies where first they did not believe their own medicos) informed the WHO of this strange virus.  It was something like four days that went by.

China is, in fact and in practice, concerned about the state of the world.  They made two mistakes.  One was with their last outbreak (I think it was Shanghai), where they locked down too long, and the other was initially, they did not believe the doctors.  They are sensitive about  ‘China Bad’ stories as we know, and for about 4 days there, they did not respond but took the doctor to task.  He was also not a medical doctor, but I forget what discipline now.

Long story, really, but Trump’s China Virus is most probably another dream.  China locked down and locked down hard, but with support functions, delivery of food, care for sick and proper procedures in place – they tested and locked down in terms of how many infections – they had different levels of lockdown and their test procedures became the fastest in all the world.  I think something like 3 hours and from delivery to the lab to results.  It is a community oriented society – and very large buildings for example very quickly got together for group purchases of food and necessities.  I could not keep up with all the stories of local happenings and then the western disdain while westerners were dying like flies and Chinese not.  Even with the winter olympics they built a two tier physical system, actually three tier, one for the public, one for protection of athletes and one where the support staff could go in.

Far as I’m concerned, if there was a real virus, with a real potential to kill off many, they managed it correctly.

And further, if there is proof that China did it, you would see lawsuits bigger than the GDP of all mankind.

The Trumpers have no proof – they only have accusations that they bring out as it suits them.   The Chinese?  They still suspect the Americans that came for the Army games just before China reported Covid to the WHO.   These soldiers got too sick to participate, they lost when they participated and they were just generally hopeless.

But people lost their minds and they forgot the simplest things.  If you have a cold or a flu or something, you tell the other person .. don’t kiss me, don’t hug me, I have a cold.  That is normal.  But simple things like that got forgotten.  I told my family at the time to lock down – don’t go chasing a virus if you can help it!

Anyway, China informed the WHO at the first moment that their suspicions became real. There are by orders of magnitude more Westerners working for the WHO than Chinese, and for the Russians, I think about six or so—or at least less than 10. The WHO is an organization that is not trustworthy, and their boss is a doofus—because of China? I don’t think so.

Milei is a chainsaw wielding madman and great friends with Elon Musk.  He made major promises, but has to borrow from the IMF – the highest IMF loans in history in our world over a long time now.  I really don’t know how much of Argentina still belongs to Argentina as they sold themselves off to the IMF during the years.  China will sit back, help where they can (only a swop line, i.e., a trading ability), with a hope to the future, and let the mess fall into a heap.    Argentina is out in the streets on a weekly basis and people are being brutally suppressed.  It was funny .. this is the one country that Michael Hudson once asked me a 4 word sentence about, and I was stumped and felt utterly stupid, as they are just about the worst example in the world in terms of western owed debt and a country belonging to the IMF.  Their major trading partner is Brazil and for such a beautiful country, their exports are so poor: https://oec.world/en/profile/country/arg

I’ve been there—not a long time, but just short—and I don’t belong there. But the food is gorgeous!  What tremendous agricultural riches that country has!  I think if Sean is saying there is a change, he is grasping at air.

Argentina has to buy somewhere, and there is only China and Brazil.  They jones to fall into the trade with Brazil who sells to China like hot cakes.  Neither of those two countries are fully reliable with Argentina in a wild hot mess.  We don’t have our correspondent from Argentina any longer unfortunately and I doubt that he would say anything anyway.  Do a search on Argentina people out in the streets .. there are 4 million out in the streets at any one time.  I cannot tell you who is a reliable correspondent and who is not.  Argentina cannot even at the moment make use of the Chancay port, because they have to cross Bolivia or Chile and they have no friends in the region as Milei is a madman.  He talks west and visits west, but hopes that China will somehow be at his back.  He is the guy that gave Elon Musk a golden chainsaw and Musk jumped all over some Trump stage with his chainsaw, for cutting the government expenditure.

Expect the region to remain in turmoil as it is there that the Monroe Doctrine is being felt the most.  China may be helping with a swop line, but China will not do anything about their IMF debt.  But we hold a very small hope that with the current chaos, just maybe something will change because we cannot help ourselves.  Hope dies last.

Good and quiet time to take a few days.

Iran is talking a lot, but the process is ongoing and we will see the next set of negotiations (if we can call them that).  Iranian delegation went to Russia, and I’m sure the next steps are choreographed.  This time Iran has friends.  Best is Professor Marandi, as he is not chaos driven, but fact driven.  The only thing that can go wrong here, is that the US goes bananas and starts shooting but I don’t see it – they cannot even shoot Yemen down although Yemen is paying a price in lives.

Polls in the US say that Trump is fast losing his base, except for those who are insane. It is as if all those who voted for him because they had nobody else to vote for are now regretting what they did. So far, nobody serious is speaking to him, and the phone does not ring, despite the crazy numbers reported as to how many countries are calling. I don’t believe this because it is presented that all these (now more than 100 countries) want to ‘cut deals’.  I don’t see that based on what the world is saying.

Today, a lot of talk but nothing really changed, excepting Xi Jinping’s state visits where contracts are being signed by the bucketful.  And India is in the mix as well.

I have on my list a BRICS update out of Brazil, the US Navy planning for combined arms training across the Pacific (yea right) and a good analysis from the Russian side on the growing wars into Africa in order to block any Yemeni support.

The rest of the day did not show any craziness beyond what we saw the whole of last week.  It is all just there, simmering.

Does anyone here see anything else crazy for today?   It is just Trump where everything is crazy.
