You do know that we are heading up to a major economic crash in the world.  Yesterday I had some positivity that BRICS has a plan (and they do), but today I question my own thinking.  Not in terms of my theory, but in terms of the time available to head off or minimize this crash, that is most certainly playing out in the foothills of the world economic mountain now.  How on earth can Syria and Iraq be in major uprisings because their oil price is too high and they don’t have any?  I mean, in that world you stick a stick in the ground and oil gushes out.  The explanation here is that Iraq exports to Syria who then exports to Europe to leave nothing locally.  The world is spinning fast and all middle-countries are now increasing their oil and petrol gas and diesel prices to a level that the citizenry cannot afford and industry dependent on petro-chemicals cannot produce.

Prof. Hudson holds the idea that the ‘pesky middle countries’ (my frustrated words and not Prof Hudson’s words), must, en bloc, repudiate or default or suspend payments on IMF debt. He explains if I understand correctly and it is not complicated now, that incoming world depression from soaring oil prices will strain the balance of payments and they simply cannot  afford to pay BOTH the higher  oil prices and food import prices AND pay their dollarized debts.  If you read .. And Forgive them their Debts .. you will certainly understand in historic detail.

🇨🇺Cuba seeks full BRICS membership

💬 “We are ready to contribute to strengthening this increasingly important grouping,” Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla said.

BRICS backed Cuba’s cause, demanding an end to the decades-long US blockade in its New Delhi Declaration.

This will be one of BRICS main objectives if one reads the Delhi (arguably generalist) Joint Declaration carefully – to break the sanctions system and to break the blockades. These are illegal and BRICS is set to increase the power of International Law.

White House Weighs Defense Production Act as U.S. Refineries Maxed Out

The White House is considering using the Defense Production Act to add U.S. refining capacity as American refineries are already running at 98% utilization. The move comes with diesel prices above $6 per gallon for the first time, underscoring how tight the U.S. products market has become.

The immediate signal is that the bottleneck is no longer crude supply but conversion capacity. With refineries effectively maxed out, any additional crude availability does not automatically translate into more diesel and other fuels. That keeps pressure on middle distillate balances and supports strong refining margins, while also highlighting that policy attention is shifting from upstream output to downstream constraints.

For the market, this is a reminder that U.S. fuel tightness can persist even in a large crude-producing system when refining capacity is stretched to the limit.
