Following the proceedings in Islamabad today – current news is on top.

Tasnim – a third round of trilateral negotiation has started with:

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Araqchi, and Ali Bagheri from Iran

JD Vance, Wittkov, and Kushner are present at the trilateral negotiations between Iran, the US, and Pakistan.

Pakistan I must say moderating and perhaps not mediating, at this stage.

They’re trying to find a framework.  Marwa Osman reports:

According to available information:  The atmosphere surrounding the negotiations remains negative, largely due to the United States retracting from key points it had initially agreed would form the foundation of the talks.

The Iranian delegation was unequivocal during consultations, stressing that a failure in negotiations would leave Tehran with little choice but to return to war. Responsibility for such an outcome would rest with Netanyahu, who continues to reject a ceasefire in Lebanon, and Trump, who insists on reopening the Strait of Hormuz before Washington fully commits to ceasefire terms.  Consultations are ongoing for now, with Iran’s final position expected to be announced from Tehran upon the delegation’s return.

There is not yet a common framework for negotiations and the Americans remain arrogant. This is now ‘rabbit out of hat’ territory and I don’t see a hat.  (It is always possible that a hat could be pulled out of a rabbit but I don’t see a rabbit!)   The Trump regime is only obstructing. What’s next? We may be back into war. Bear in mind how many times these US fools went to speak to Putin and he spoke with them — Why? To hear what they have to say. There is lots of fake news of the US sailing through the Straight of Hormuz. The US says: “We have begun establishing a new shipping lane and will share this route with the maritime transport sector”.  I do not know where their new shipping lane is and consider this nonsense.

A stage of face-to-face negotiations has ended; Two teams are exchanging texts

🔹 The expert teams of the Iranian and American negotiating teams, which had entered the negotiations hours ago, are now exchanging written texts about the discussed issues after the end of face-to-face talks at one stage.

Background: A US destroyer tried to sneak through the Strait of Hormuz.

Our forces monitored the destroyer and informed our delegation, which conveyed the message to the Americans via Pakistan.  We warned that the destroyer’s approach to the Strait of Hormuz would expose it to an attack within 30 minutes and would jeopardize the negotiations.

The destroyer turned tail.

US media:  Several US Navy ships transited the strategic waterway on Saturday without prior coordination with Iran, a US official told Axios.

Pakistan? The commander of the Pakistan Army Asim Munir met with Iranian and American delegations – wearing very different outfits.

The negotiation teams could not be more different. Iran’s lead negotiator is the man behind the country’s ‘missile cities’.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the current Speaker of Parliament, served as the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force from 1997 to 2000. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the former commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force who was killed in 2025, called Ghalibaf “the mastermind of the missile cities.”

✈️ Those underground launch networks, which are capable of striking anywhere in the region, began taking shape under his leadership. His deputy was Ali Abdollahi, who is now head of Khatam al-Anbiya. And on the US side, we have JD Vance, unblooded on this level, untested, supported by two crooked realtors, with a 300 person support team, stacked with hubris and empirical ‘drang’ to control and own and kill and plunder.

At stake, through the Strait of Hormuz, the capability to send the world towards hell, with no gas and no needed commodities, to completely break the economic structures and change the stance of every country on our planet. This does not count the possibility of most of the Arab family dictatorships cut into nothingness and Israel getting its just deserts. Those changes are now baked in the cake.

Hold the line, beautiful resistance! When you can do so, and in solidarity, and in cooperation, move forwards. It may all crash around our heads into a Global Financial Winter (Michael Hudson Quote).  And then we have a new world – no more, no less.  Don’t hate, but be resolute in the call for justice.  This may all fall apart even today and by tonight we could be in war again, and this time, it will not be a regional war.

Something interesting that I cannot confirm:  Israeli journalists & media teams have been barred from entering Pakistan to cover the US-Iran talks in Islamabad.  It is now reported that Indian journalists and media teams also did not receive permission to enter Pakistan.

The latest:  Iran says the preconditions have not been fulfilled.  The Israeli war on Lebanon must stop before negotiations.  Just after that, the press says negotiations have started.  We will shrink in a little and only post what we can be verified.  If not, but it looks interesting, we will say so clearly.

While these negotiations and the war on Iran, Lebanon and Gaza still continues, there is one issue that we need to pay some attention to.

This is the election in Hungary tomorrow, where Victor Orban is up against strong and energized opposition.  Yes, there is interference, but not everything is interference.   As I am not an expert in those areas and do not carry water for Orban, I will wait for sensible commentary.  Anyone on Sovereignista that follows this, feel free to give us updates in the commentary.

At the same time as the Islamabad talks, the progress of which is tied to the ceasefire in Lebanon, the Lebanese Prime Minister postponed his trip to America
