Iranian War Updates dedicated thread: War on Iran 3

Mar 21

Periol has a wonderful curation of comments and posts giving perspectives in the Apocalypse thread today.  (It is always wonderful, but this one is special).    https://sovereignista.com/globalsouthforum/topic/chronicles-of-the-apocalypse-21-march-2026/

I have a small quote from our documentation in preparation for a Global Axis of Resistance:

“We must weave a net of solidarity so dense as to be impenetrable to any Barbarian. Let us learn from Iran’s “Mosaic Strategy” – small, resilient, connected. Let us form councils in our neighbourhoods, networks in our cities, and bonds across our borders. Instead of sitting at home and staring at our phones, let us occupy the streets and public places.

May the Oligarchs tremble at the sight of united masses of the world.

May the Armageddonists choke on their delirious sermons.”

Take in the message that Iran gifts us with:  “Iran gave the world the end of invincibility, showing us that resistance works and empires fall.”

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Iran’s Khatam al Anbiya (Armed Forces) spokesman says:

We have learned the way to defeat you, and that way is resistance.

Our enemies know that continuing the war means yet another layer of ruin on top of their already ruined bases—damage that will not be rebuildable.

The sapling of the Islamic Revolution has become a strong, deep-rooted, and unbreakable tree.

We are grieving, but we are not tired.

Our losses are the force that drives us to strike you.

As our nation and armed forces continue along their path of superiority, we will not allow your poison to be reproduced.

The shift in the balance of power, which has been underway for a long time, is now reaching your ears in the form of the siren of death.

This war will continue as long as the option of aggression against this land remains part of the criminals’ agenda and strategy.

These lawless, borderless, child-killing predators, for whom crime and oppression have become a permanent habit, must understand—but these fools have never understood why they keep suffering disgraceful defeat in every battle.

The flawless and unprecedented execution of our offensive and defensive operations has revealed Iran’s far-reaching power in the enemy’s penetrable skies.

A United States diplomat has told Brazilian port industry executives that Washington does not want a Chinese company to win the concession for a major container terminal in Santos, the largest port in Latin America, in the latest sign that the race for one of Brazil’s most prized infrastructure assets has become a front in the broader rivalry between Washington and Beijing.

Kevin Murakami, the US consul-general in Sao Paulo, made the comments on March 5, at an event organised by Grupo A Tribuna, a media group based in the port city of Santos.

According to the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, three business executives who attended said Murakami told the audience the terminal had strategic importance for the United States, particularly in relation to organised crime. That part of his speech was expected.

China donates 5,000 solar energy systems to Cuba – government prioritizes hospitals

Beyond the hospital network, which includes more than 280 hospitals and 430 clinics, the project will also reach some 2,000 homes in isolated rural areas

Amid the terrorist US-imposed energy crisis due to the oil embargo, the Cuban government started a solar program across the country with China’s support, prioritizing 2,600 out of the 5,000 solar systems for strategic institutions in the country’s 168 municipalities

The deployment is currently focused on hospitals, polyclinics and maternity homes, as well as water pumping stations and telecommunications nodes.

Peskov comments:

The main statements of Dmitry Peskov:

▪️There is currently no clarity about the possible venue for the next round of trilateral talks on Ukraine;

▪️Russia hopes to continue trilateral talks on Ukraine in the near future, and the current pause is temporary;

▪️For Russia, the main question is why Europe is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, rather than avoiding supporting the US in Iran;

▪️There is no answer to why Europe is provoking the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine, instead of promoting peace;

▪️Global demand for fertilizers is growing, and Russia is able to meet the growing market demand;

▪️Russia will completely reorient its energy sales to new growing markets if it becomes clear that these markets are more attractive;

▪️The Kiev regime should unconditionally stop attempts to strike compressor stations;

▪️Russia is in contact with its friends from Cuba and is discussing possible options for providing assistance to the republic;

▪️Putin may hold an international telephone conversation in the afternoon.

Is there anything left to demolish?

Russian MoD: From 14 to 20 March 2026, in response to the terrorist attacks launched by Ukraine against civilian facilities in the Russian Federation, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive and six group strikes, which hit enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry, fuel and power facilities, transport and airfield infrastructure used for the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, production, storage, and preparation for launch sites of long-range attack unmanned aerial vehicles as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry statement on developments in the Persian Gulf (https://mid.ru/en/foreign_policy/news/2087137/)

Moscow is seriously concerned over the ongoing armed confrontation in the Persian Gulf and the risks of escalation.

The scale of damage to energy and other critical infrastructure in Iran and neighboring Arab states continues to grow.

🔉 Audio statement by Maria Zakharova (https://www.mid.ru/upload/medialibrary/c1b/nebozqv5gqg9k2016ajmm2v410wthg68/MVZ%2019%2003.mp3) (in Russian)

We call for an immediate cessation of hostilities resulting from the unprovoked aggression by the US and Israel against Iran (https://t.me/MFARussia/28511).

Russia, together with China, Türkiye and other like-minded partners, stands ready to facilitate a settlement and help resolve existing differences through political and diplomatic means, with a view to achieving long-term, sustainable stabilisation in the region, taking into account the interests of all states concerned.

We consistently advocate creating conditions for peaceful coexistence, security and good-neighbourly relations between the Arab countries, with which we maintain friendly ties, and Iran.

❗️ We emphasise that the first step must be an immediate end to the US and Israel’s military venture.

In this context, we note the thoughtful and balanced article (https://telegra.ph/Americas-friends-must-help-extricate-it-from-an-unlawful-war-03-19) by Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, published in The Economist on March 18, 2026.

The proposals outlined in the article are largely in line with our own vision of establishing a security architecture in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf based on a balance of interests among all regional states. We share the Omani Minister’s view on the need to launch an inclusive regional dialogue aimed at reaching agreements on confidence-building and transparency measures in the field of nuclear energy, as well as mutual security guarantees.

👉 Russia has for several years been promoting an initiative to develop a concept of collective security in the Gulf, aimed at establishing lasting peace and cooperation among all littoral states.

We remain ready to continue providing constructive assistance in resolving the conflict and overcoming existing contradictions in the Middle East through political and diplomatic means, including by fostering conditions for joint efforts towards a sustainable settlement based on a balance of the legitimate interests of all countries in the region.

Russia recorded its largest weekly increase in oil revenues since 2023.

Seaborne crude shipments last week reached 4.11 million barrels per day — the third-highest weekly figure since April 2023. The four-week average rose to 3.44 million barrels per day, up 90,000 barrels from the previous week.

Two factors drove the surge: soaring global oil prices from the Iran war, and a 30-day US sanctions waiver on Russian oil.

🇮🇳 Prices for Russian crude supplied to India simultaneously hit a historic high.

The war in the Gulf is padding Moscow’s budget while Washington bleeds in the Strait.

We are now in an Economic World War coupled with a partial kinetic war in different areas, but threatening to converge. I will wait for Michael Hudson to epitomize it further, but to me it looks like a world wide recession has set in, and nothing now can stop it. The horse it out of the stable. This may throw some into a new stone age.

The process of change and the whole world is in the midst of it.

The change process and new beginning model adaption outline diagram. Unexpected experience and get over life chaos or loss with transforming, integration and new status quo vector illustration.

People are penning and illustrating fairy tales:

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Russian journalist and political researcher Maxim Shevchenko: “I read posts from some Russian-speaking Israelis expressing joy at the killing of children.” “Then these people come to Moscow and St. Petersburg and live among us.” “All of them should have their dual citizenship revoked.”

Israel targeted a Russian journalist knowingly and openly in the South of Lebanon and he and his cameraman are injured and wounded. His name is Steve Sweeney. This is another Israeli war crime, in a long list of Israeli war crimes which include killing at least 261 Palestinian journalists in Gaza in the past two years alone, as well as previously killing Lebanese journalists and repeatedly bombing Iranian media.  Scroll down a little and see again the threat to Russian Authories from the IDF spokeswoman.  While we have discussed China’s views on Israel changing, the Russians have changed publically and on the streets, as the Chinese have.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

It is time to disbelieve everything from the US. The gaslighting is extreme. The great announcements that Trump is going to throw Bibi under the bus in order to gain the War Winner Prize, has merit, but we’ve not seen it yet. My opinion is that Bibi is no longer in charge, dead or alive. The Hebrew media quotes Trump before they quote Bibi.  We need to wait and see, because the war objectives change daily. Threats are becoming more and more aggressive and disengaged from reality.

The Gulf countries are equally as panicky as the US. Qatar, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Türkiye and the UAE issued a joint statement calling on Iran “to immediately halt its attacks” after holding a meeting in Riyadh.

The mask has been ripped off the eyes of these countries, in that their Great Daddy Protector is not protecting. But, they still try to blame Iran.  (From this statement, you would never guess who the agressor is really).   They did not want to change but wanted to live forever calmly wafting around in their own delusions.

Oman remains somewhat sanguine. “Oman’s top diplomat Badr Albusaidi: ‘AMERICA HAS LOST CONTROL OF ITS FOREIGN POLICY'”

Mr P left us a primer on the South Pars Gas Field: https://sovereignista.com/globalsouthforum/topic/the-hearty-salon-march-17-2026/#post-79971

🔹🔹🔹🔹

We are witnessing ‘extreme destabilization’ in the Middle East — Kremlin spox

Kiev’s attempted attacks on TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines, in times of global energy crisis, might ‘destabilize situation further not only in the region, but throughout the world’

Also, “The vast majority of media reports related to the Iranian conflict are information hoaxes,” said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

There are streams of countries lining up to speak with Russia about gas and commodities supplies. These are the items that are on the vessels in the Hormuz Strait. Country after country announces very serious power price increases. Panama has just announced 20 to 25% increase, today, among a whole list of others. South Korea is begging for Russian oil and Naphta. Oil prices spiked over 30% up in the Euro Zone.

The Iran War is sending shockwaves well beyond the energy market. The shutdown of Qatar’s Ras Laffan facility, the world’s largest LNG export plant, has knocked out ~33% of global helium supply, as helium is a byproduct of natural gas processing.

With the facility offline, the global market is losing ~5.2 million cubic meters per month, while there is almost no spare capacity as helium must reach end users within ~45 days before it evaporates.

As a result, Helium spot prices have risen over +100% since the Iran War began.

The Iran War is changing into an economic war more than what it is a kinetic war.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

JD Vance’s way to save face in front of the American public that has to deal with rising gas and food prices is to say that the rest of the world has it worse than they do.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Maria Zakharova:

Key takeaways from Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s statements at a press briefing:

▪️The delay in resolving the Iran conflict threatens to push oil prices above $100 per barrel

▪️The Polish court’s ruling on the possible extradition of archaeologist Alexander Butyagin to Ukraine is not final, and Russia will seek his prompt return home

▪️The conflict around Iran directly threatens global energy security and has already harmed the global economy

▪️The Ukrainian military is stepping up attacks on civilian targets in Russia under the same command as in the Iran situation

▪️Ukraine is turning into the largest hub for illegal arms trade, which threatens global security

▪️Ukraine’s sanctions against Russian Paralympians show that Zelensky could not cope with their feat

▪️Russia expects Seoul to refrain from supplying weapons to Kiev, otherwise negative consequences for bilateral relations will be inevitable

▪️Moscow “strongly condemns” Israel’s strikes on civilian targets in Lebanon and believes that a ground operation would lead to further escalation

▪️Russia is deeply concerned about the fighting between Pakistan and Afghanistan and calls on the parties to refrain from confrontation

▪️The Belgian prime minister’s statements on the need for dialogue with Russia point to a deep divide in Europe and the failure of anti-Russian policy

▪️NATO poses a threat to Russia’s security in the Arctic and increases the risk of unintended incidents, which Moscow has no interest in

▪️Solutions to shipping issues in the Strait of Hormuz must be sought at the negotiating table

▪️More and more Georgian politicians are calling for restoring relations with Moscow, but “the ball is not in Russia’s court”

Nikolay Patrushev, the chairman of the Maritime Board, stated that the issue of protecting Russian merchant ships is being addressed by deploying defense systems on the ships and by having them escorted by Navy ships.

He also stated that the possibility is being considered of allowing captains to request armed escorts for ships flying the Russian flag with the involvement of mobile fire groups.

Fox News: The United States has decided to make the funeral processions for soldiers killed in the war with Iran completely secret, with a strict ban on the use of cameras. (Of course of course … they cannot let anyone know that they are taking serious casualties and bodybags are coming home. Just as Israel have a ban on pubishing anything, now the US is following suit. Hide the coffins but they’ve won the war!).

🔹🔹🔹🔹

🔹🔹🔹🔹

I don’t believe a word this man is saying. The blame is moved to Israel more and more.

“TUCKER: How did you reach the conclusion that Iran posed no imminent threat?

KENT: Sec of State, Prez and Speaker said we conducted this attack at this time because Israelis were about to do so.”

But the whole of the US establishment is out there making statements about the ‘imminent threat’.

China has announced the decision today to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to #Iran #Jordan #Lebanon and #Iraq. We hope this will help ease the difficult humanitarian situation facing the people there. China will continue striving for a ceasefire, an early return of peace and stability to the region, and a stop to the spread of humanitarian crisis.

Iran wins the war of rhetoric by far.

Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani:

🔹 47 years ago, on the eve of the people’s victory in the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the delusional Prime Minister of the Pahlavi regime claimed that the sound of the massive crowds chanting in the streets was not real, but rather the sound of a tape recording!

🔹 Now Trump says about the millions-strong anti-American and anti-Israeli gatherings in Iranian cities that these images are artificial intelligence!

🔹 The historic victory of the Iranian people over the remnants of Epstein’s island is near.

It is now reported that Larijani was targeted overnight. Zionist press reports that he is dead. We need to wait on this one.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Donald Trump in one minute: Allies won’t help ➡️ allies should help ➡️ we don’t need help ➡️ send help – Man talks to himself—and still can’t agree 🤭

Mar 16

Here comes another Board.  The Hormuz Peace Board.  The previous one lies in rack and ruin and has brought no relief for Gaza.  This is a mental desperado at the helm of things.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

A few comments from Lavrov:

-People are forgetting about Palestine, and that will be a serious blow to the reputation of the international community, first of all the UN.  ‘First of all, Arab countries in the region need to recognize their responsibility in this regard’

-‘[US] thought that with unprovoked aggression they would subdue [Iran] in a day’ — Lavrov on the Iran war.  ‘I believe these people now understand how mistaken they were — how misguided they were’

-‘When Americans say they want to take more than 400 kg of enriched uranium from Iran’ it shows they are not open to negotiations.  ‘They just want to get their energy source, like they do from Latin America, the Caribbean, the Persian Gulf and other parts of our planet’

-‘Recently, Trump said that Iran has been completely defeated and destroyed…  On the very same day IDF rep said that they have more objectives that they need to carry out’.  It is very hard to predict how this conflict will unfold.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Iran will open the Straight of Hormuz exactly as they decide to:

MarineTraffic (https://x.com/MarineTraffic):

First non-Iranian cargo transits Strait of Hormuz with AIS on

The Aframax tanker Karachi, carrying Abu Dhabi’s Das crude, has become the first non-Iranian cargo to transit the chokepoint while broadcasting its AIS signal, suggesting that select shipments may be receiving negotiated safe passage.

According to #MarineTraffic data, the 237-metre crude oil tanker entered the Iranian Exclusive Economic Zone on 15 March at 11:33 and crossed the Strait of Hormuz at 14:43.  Times are UTC.   The vessel is currently sailing in the Gulf of Oman at around 9.6 knots, having successfully passed through the strait with AIS active.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Uhmmm .. we will have to check out Zakharova or the Russian MoD for comment.  You can find this report basically everywhere.  I did not see it when I started working approximately 2 hours ago and now it is everywhere.  Here is PressTV:  https://t.me/presstv/180156

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Where is Bibi?  (The whole of the Israeli Knesset has just fled live on camera because of rocket strikes.)

Netanyahu’s proof-of-life video backfires spectacularly

What was meant as a casual social media wink from Israel’s PM—sipping coffee at a Jerusalem cafe and joking in Hebrew slang, “I am dead… for coffee” while flashing all ten fingers—has exploded into controversy.

Instead of quelling the rumors about his death that swirled on March 14-15 amid the war on Iran, the clip sparked intense scrutiny from viewers who zoomed in on every detail to prove that it was a far-from-flawless AI fake.

Here’s what eagle-eyed internet sleuths noticed:

🔴 Netanyahu has 6 fingers on his right hand

🔴 face does not match what’s seen in the monitor of the reporter’s camera

🔴 coat pocket glitches, gobbling up his hand

🔴 lip at one point appears edited and “wiped off”

🔴 nose becomes flat all of a sudden

🔴 full to the brim coffee cup stays 100% full after huge sip, foam stays the same

🔴 no reflection of Netanyahu in the mirror behind the female barista as the camera shifts to her

🔴 video jumps frames as he moves his arm towards the end of the video

🔴 he looks down several times and only blinks once in entire video

🔴 background scenery shifts and glitches

🔴 people in the background wearing masks like when cafes were reopening after COVID pandemic

🔴 clear skies when weather forecast was for thunderstorms

🔴 date on the cashier’s POS display shows 2024

🔹🔹🔹🔹

A number of long unreadable Trump Tirades on his Truth Social. Unhinged Meltdown does not even describe it.

China, Italy, Japan, France, Germany, South Korea, the UK and Australia all told Trump to pound sand. Trump is now begging NATO to help open the Strait of Hormuz threatening that he helped them with Ukraine and ‘NATO will have a very bad future’ should NATO not help with unblocking Hormuz.  There is of course much trolling and a suggestion for Trump is why does he not call on the Israeli Navy to ‘open the straits’)?

The Iran war consists of AI, says Trump. According to him, the “Fake Media” is cooperating with Iran, everything is AI, and media outlets should be charged with treason. (How about if you cannot win a war, then win an imaginary one). “They showed about 250,000 people in a square saying how much they love (Ayatollah) Khamenei. Totally AI generated. It never took place.” – Trump

The Trump Trip to China may be ‘postponed’. (No victory lap can be squeezed out of this one).  The Chinese and US delegations convened on Sunday morning for talks on economic and trade issues, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The Iranian women soccer players: 5 out of 7 Iranian female soccer player granted asylum by the Australian government have declined the offer and voluntarily returned to Iran.

Mar 14

There is nothing being reported in this world besides the war on Iran. The Kremlin (Peskov) stated that the talks on Ukraine are on hold as US has other priorities.  The SMO continues.

I go to China, and China Daily shows that there is a world out there.  Enjoy a little:  https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/

Brazil has just rejected and expelled a Trump Advisor.

Panama is begging the Chinese COSCO to return.  US Pressure is slowly reducing.  My next writing is on what they are doing in Venezuela?  You may be surprised.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

It is scary!

Trump’s Jewish son-in-law seeks to make billions from Middle East war

Jared Kushner is reportedly seeking about $5B for his firm Affinity Partners, courting sovereign wealth funds from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar, the New York Times reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Riyadh alone has already poured $2B into the fund.

Affinity Partners, founded in 2021, manages $5B+ and holds stakes tied to Israel’s defense sector, including companies connected to Elbit Systems and Israel Shipyards.

👉 The fundraising push comes as Kushner has increasingly acted as the public face of US diplomacy in the Middle East, representing Washington in regional talks as if the State Department barely exists.

Meanwhile, speculation about his influence in the region (https://t.me/geopolitics_prime/65226) keeps growing. According to reporting cited by The New York Times and other US outlets, Kushner has been among the advisers shaping Washington’s approach to Iran during the current crisis.

War sweeps the region — and apparently also primes fundraising season.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s interview with CBS:

  • Iran’s strikes target only US military facilities and bases
  • Tehran is in talks with a range of countries on ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz
  • Iran’s enriched uranium is now “under the rubbles” but there is possibility to retrieve it
  • Tehran has never asked the United States for a ceasefire and is ready to defend itself as long as it takes
  • The Islamic republic sees no point in negotiation with the US and has never asked for this

🔹🔹🔹🔹

After Benjamin Netanyahu published a video showing that he is still alive, people started wondering why his coffee cup, filled to the brim, didn’t spill when he tilted it. And then he took a sip of coffee, but the cup remained 100% full.  I wonder if this is Bibi?

Seen in Tehran:

“Entry of dogs and Americans into the Strait of Hormuz is forbidden.”

Trump: “We don’t lose wars, we just, sometimes we don’t fight to win. We’ll stay around the country for 15 years, bomb the hell out of everybody, make everybody miserable. Nobody knows why we’re there.”

🔹🔹🔹🔹

What a clumsy attempt to grow this war. What a painful attempt at ‘winning’.  What a dog-whistle of desperation.  What low down cope!  Japan has already said no. Most of Europe decided they don’t want to touch it and are negotiating directly and Iran will decide who passes through the strait and Ansar Allah have the confirmatory vote.

Iran’s FM Araghchi:

‘Strait of Hormuz ONLY closed to those attacking us and their allies. Others are FREE to pass’

There are currently ‘many tankers and ships passing through’ the Strait

🔹🔹🔹🔹

The other war.

Night In Kiev.

Zircons, Geraniums, Kalibrs. The works. Take a look at Andrei Maryanov’s latest update: https://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/2026/03/night-in-kiev.html

The Russian MoD (only the group strikes): From 7 to 13 March 2026, in response to the terrorist attacks launched by Ukraine against civilian facilities in the Russian Federation, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive and six group strikes, (https://t.me/mod_russia_en/26059) which hit enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry, fuel and power facilities, transport and airfield infrastructure by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, production, storage, and preparation for launch sites of long-range attack unmanned aerial vehicles as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Reports are rapidly circulating that Netanyahu may have been killed in an Iranian attack.

Nothing is confirmed by official sources. The commentary: “Netanyahu being killed would leave a significant power vacuum in the US.”

🔹🔹🔹🔹

Galloway: THE GOLDEN SHOT
Move over Caligula, there’s a new evil emperor in town

I compared Trump to Caligula but greedy Crassus is the real model, the one who thought the Persians didn’t have enough arrows and ended up being finished by them with liquid gold

Sayyed Khamenei outlined three concrete demands, each with a defined timeline: a rapid U.S. military withdrawal from the Middle East, a full rollback of sanctions within 60 days, and long-term financial compensation for economic damages. Then came the ultimatum. Fail to comply, and Iran escalates, economically, militarily, and potentially nuclearly.… Read more »

I continue to be underwhelmed by Russia’s “statements”. Just because they aren’t going to escalate on the conflict front doesn’t mean they have to be so milquetoast in their statements. Russia’s hope for more talks on Ukraine does sound like weakness.

I was scrolling through Zhao Dashuai’s Twitter and saw news of Sanae Takaichi’s approval rating going down to less than 50%.

She says:

Don’t chicken out, Japan—floor the gas pedal.

[Original text: “日本人别怂,油门踩到底。”]

What does Zhao mean here? Is she outing herself as part of the pro-Takaichi peanut gallery?
