Lavrov has given a press conference as usual following his Moscow meeting with his Iranian counterpart.  From the set of summary notes by RT, he states:

NATO is a de facto party to the conflict in Ukraine, functionally the bloc cannot involve itself in the crisis any deeper.  Those are figting words.  Russia has been hinting at this in a way, but I have not seen it stated so openly.

I would wait for the formal transcript but fighting words indeed.

Saudi Arabia’s government approved on Wednesday the move for Riyadh to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as dialogue partner.  the political, economic, and defense bloc founded by Russia and China, and the ex-Soviet republics of Central Asia.

Few people fully realize that SCO is a defense bloc as well.  This is being brought into play by Patrushev.

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev insisted there is “irrefutable evidence” of large-scale US biological activity in Ukraine – but warned it isn’t Washington’s only testing ground.

Patrushev told security chiefs at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that infection outbreaks of pathogenic agents from diseases such as cholera, hemorrhagic fever, and swine flu had been detected in Ternopol, Odessa, Kharkov, and Nikolaev.

“American elites are involved in these processes,” he said, urging biological security measures be implemented by SCO members. “Other former Soviet republics, such as Georgia, Moldova, and some SCO states, are also in the US focus.”

‘If Russia Captures Artyomovsk, Ukrainians Will Demand Compromise with Moscow’ – Zelensky

President Vladimir Zelensky has said that if his troops were to surrender the city of Artyomovsk, known as Bakhmut in Ukraine, his govt would come under domestic and international pressure to seek peace with Russia.

“Our society will feel tired”, he told AP in an interview released Wednesday dubbed a “morale-building journey” across Ukraine by the agency. “Our society will push me to have compromise with them”.

Patrushev at SCO – summary from the Russian MFA

The 18th Meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Member States took place in New Delhi today. The situation in the field of security and stability in the SCO region was discussed.

The Russian Federation was represented at the meeting by Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

In his opening remarks he touched upon the issues of further interaction between the SCO member states in the areas of ensuring international information security, biomedical security, and cooperation on the anti-drug track were touched upon in detail.

Emphasis was placed on specific measures to jointly fight transnational organized crime, terrorism and the revival of neo-Nazism.

Mr Patrushev also underscored Russia’s commitment to the SCO’s principles of equal and indivisible security, respect for the fundamental norms of international law.

Special attention he paid to the need to uphold universal human values, to prevent interference in domestic affairs of sovereign states as well as to counter the policy of unilateral sanctions and restrictive measures.

On overview early morning, what a mess we are in for parts of the world.  France specifically Paris is still burning with estimated 3.5 million strikers and others out on the streets.  The visible reason for this is pension age reform by Macron, but that is just the tip of this iceberg.  What is happening is that people are completely willing to give their lives for authenticity from their leaders.

Israel?  Oh boy .. this is what they looked like night before last.  Netanyahu fired his defense minister, as the rumors go that the military is on the point of falling apart.

Translation: Thousands of Israelis take to the streets after Netanyahu fires defense minister. Israel is getting out of control. Civil unrest rises. Protestors even are demonstrating in front of Netanyahu´s house.  The visible reason here is a  halt in the controversial legislation that would weaken the independence of the courts.

Just at the moment reports state that Netanyahu is to announce a halt on the legislation for judicial reform.  So, he lost against the people.

We are either on the cusp of civil unrest, or we’re still heading to the top of the mountain.  Many governments will fall during this time of moving to multipolarity.  The reasons given in the press for the civil unrest, are but reasons that hide the killing fury of people who have had enough of oligarchic control.  It is a very dangerous time.  We cannot know for sure unless we are there, but reports say that the protestors are now routinely breaking through the ranks of the cops and at least in France there are reports of badly injured and dead cops being quickly hidden from the eyes of the media.

US warship’s illegal entry into waters off China’s Xisha Islands (This happens frequently but now Chinese military are taking a much stronger line)

Defense Ministry spokesperson:

BEIJING, March 24 — “The US guided-missile destroyer USS Milius illegally entered the territorial waters off China’s Xisha Islands once again without Chinese government’s permission on March 24, undermining the peace and stability in the South China Sea. The troops of the Chinese PLA Southern Theater Command conducted tracking and monitoring in accordance with the law, and warned it off,” said Senior Colonel Tan Kefei, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of National Defense (MND), in a written statement on Friday.

Tan remarked that such move of the US military has gravely violated China’s sovereignty and security, as well as the international law, which is another irrefutable proof of its navigation hegemony and militarization of the South China Sea.

“We sternly demand the US side to immediately stop such provocative behaviors, otherwise it would take the serious consequences of every eventuality it caused”, said the spokesperson, noting that the Chinese PLA will take all necessary measures to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and security, as well as peace and stability in the South China Sea.
