THAAD uses AN/TPY-2. Estimated fuel burn is 150 gal/hr… Power 2.1 MW, this is in the realm of locomotive engines. Isolation from the vibrations in the power plant is essential for the high gain solid state transmitter-receiver..so much so the the antenna unit sits on a isolation mat! There are reports of power plant reliability (T to F 100 hours or so, at least in the past, I have read. (military specification generators that I have seen tend to be one-off or nearly so, ie without the reliability one gets by making many thousands of a machine and thereby discovering the hard way and fixing the hard way for a long time. I have observed stacks of broken cracked fuel tube in defective air-cooled diesel generators belonging to the US Army.
