My intention as speaker at this event was to break taboos about who is and who is not a neo-fascist among the political elites in Europe. In fact, I wanted to go beyond the designation ‘neo-fascist’ to the more emotive but more accurate term ‘neo-Nazi.’ Neo-fascism is a Europe-wide phenomenon today if by the term we mean viciously enforced state censorship, utter conformism in political thinking and utter intolerance for heterodox views. Neo-Nazism is more violent and its emergence is more concentrated geographically than neo-fascism.
The argument develops nicely. I want to think about it.

One aspect of big plans such as the current iteration of nazi evil conspiracy is that they take a long time. In the beginning the Plan assumes some features of the future will abide and not significantly change. That may, if the assessment of immediate reality is accurate enough, and the Plan goes forth quickly, produce some effects as desired. It’s a bet though. The bigger the Plan, the longer it takes, the more people take note, assess the evidence, and take action to foil or turn the Plan to their own purposes.
