Your grasp of history far exceeds mine, and I run to the mechanistic view as well as the moral…the american project, like everything else, has a life-time and contains the seeds of it’s own passing…the contradictions…having reached the penultimate phase the empire attempts to stop and even to reverse time…the wars, the crazy sex, the degenerate corruption, the dope among the elite – this is the strategy of a drowning man, and it never works. I hope the lands survive…and I expect, as I’ve said before, that the civilizational states’ armies, mostly as military police, and industrial chemists and nuclear fellas, will be obliged to pay CONUS a visit. Meantime an old couple will cling to the wreckage and tend our garden. If we were young we’d be somewhere else. Yewbetcha!
