grieved, as always i appreciate your keen perception & so listened a second time.
what struck me this time around was the assumption—subtext— that americans agree that there is a war—that they are @ war—not with each other but some much more fearsome external force, so fearsome that there is no need of a declaration it is that obvious—a given—one which the population accepts as fact. that, yes, the country (west/empire/hegemon) is @ risk as never before & therefore their way of life (capitalism!) faces an existential threat. the ago old warning, so hackneyed to be devoid of effect, has unexpectedly come to be & is too terrible to ignore, it’s that desperate, time for debate is long past, all aboard!
