some time ago discussion circled russian hypersonics & how they worked.  i’d bookmarked jean-pierre petit’s site (author of the original mathematics, also worked in russia) but when i went to retrieve it it had ‘disappeared’.   access to the site was also denied.

i’m posting this on the off-chance when new weapons or events re-ignite  this discussion, it may help.   (the little i remember from distant discussions on Boltzmann involved the possible ways to remove a photon from a great distance.)
