i’ve a friend whose parents are chadian, before he was born they’d moved to sudan, then egypt (where some sisters & cousins still live) while his parents & their siblings moved to turkey.  apparently, there is a significant chadian community living in turkey.  he visits istanbul regularly for weddings & graduations & during ramadan.

& erdogan, here, there, all but ubiquitous.

meanwhile, i’m left marvelling @ putin & xi, khamenei, their uncommon patience, yet more often seethe, as lavrov only rarely has…is this lull, could it be, a tall hokusai drawing back?  & in that enormous inhalation i float a cork upon hope…we cannot fail, good will prevail, it cannot be otherwise.   our Lord will test our souls, we cannot become the evil we face, we must hold all that’s good, all that is love.

my nica phone, Honor, (made in china/$70)  cannot be outfitted with a canadian sim card.  it cannot be ‘unlocked’ therefore the sim card cannot be installed, apparently, according to dealership selling sim cards, this has been the case with all cell phones coming out of china that are not apple phones since late september, early october of this year.
