oddly i agree with both views: while i’ve believed iran has the technology & resources required, & has had since the revolution—(whether from north korea/pakistan/ disgruntled russian physicists, or its own mathematical wizards (for me) is irrelevant, iran chooses for spiritual/ethical reasons not to deploy them. (all but impossible for a western mind with our instant gratification exceptionalism to fathom.) insha’allah that isn’t to say that in the event of global nuclear annihilation iran won’t use them, simply that it will do all & everything it can before. iran is a civilized state, its every announcement, remark, disclosure, memorandom makes it clear that such rigorous morality is what civilized state means; as profoundly beautiful as its mosques & carpets; as remarkably transcendent as Rumi’s poems.
so as we wait, here in the space between the breath in the breath out, in the carousal of thoughts & what it all means…i wonder why russia doesn’t simply declare russia is @ war with empire has been for centuries…while everyone in the global south knows this & has for years…why let empire continue to live within the bernays’ fog of lies?? this transitory second i believe it’s somewhat related to the imponderable why iran does not disclose what she obviously owns…for the sake of us all. & for the sake of us all i have to hold faith it is as God decrees it.
