Iraq has urged its oil buyers to resume shipments after the country’s access to the Strait of Hormuz is restored, Bloomberg reports.
“Iraq has told Asian traders and refiners that they can load Iraqi crude as ships carrying oil from that country can now pass through the Strait of Hormuz,” the agency reported.
As the agency notes, in a notice sent out on Sunday, Iraqi state-owned SOMO requested buyers to provide desired shipment schedules and emphasized that all loading terminals, including those in Basra, are fully operational.
