There is a sizable effort going on, from Vietnamese as well as from Chinese, to rip the false values away from the Scott Ritters of our world.  It is wild and it is serious.  They are on different threads and this is becoming a movement.

No, it is not only Scott that they want to batter (the term is ream a new asshole, I learned in the US) – behind this is a strong and grassroots belief that the US will not this time get away from its excesses, by pretending peace to the Russians ..  like it did in the previous years.  As soon as a little time opens up, I’ll copy these and make a post.  This is something that we need to give attention to.  It is a different resistance from a different societal group.

OK, I can do it, but first a few questions and comments.

Michael Hudson knows Sergey Glazyev or has dealt with him. Michael is not impressed for many reasons, but that is not my story to tell. I have a problem with Glazyev because of his continual hatred of the Russian Central Bank, specifically Nabiulina. This is why he was sidelined, whereas his initial job that Putin gave him, was to create the foundations of an alternative currency. This was some years ago when Putin reformed the constitution and the Russian government.  This was the first time that we learned about an alternative currency.  I’ve written criticism on Glazyev before, in terms of much writing and little real work.  He just has not delivered.  So, he is very sidelined and is almost certainly not a real member of the siloviki or the rest of the Russian elite.

I don’t find this on his site, Glazyev.ru so did not find any links.  What I am looking for is the …program “Social Justice and Economic Growth,” which he says “we have developed” and which has been approved by the Russian Economic Forum..  I cannot find the program, or the Russian Economic Forum.  I believe it is probably somewhere out of SPIEF, but with no links, I find nothing.   So I would like to read that program before saying anything.

Then, there is this bit of weirdness where he talks about an Israeli enclave on the right Bank of the Dnieper. “Some informed experts suspect this clan of intending to build a “New Jerusalem” on the right bank of the Dnieper, the foundation for which has already been laid in Dnipropetrovsk. 65/84

I’ve not heard about this and as far as I can see, Israel is carrying out their Greater Israel project (for as long as it will last!).  So this is weird.

So then he talks about Europe and that is accurate as far as I can see.

Then he talks about the US doing a new currency (Cryptos) incase the Dollar goes poof.  We know that the Trump admin is doing a crypto ..aargh, I forgot what they call it, but a Sovereign Wealth Fund – I think it is called.  The Trump crypto and the Melania crypto that they floated of course fell to hell in value, and those were part of this sovereign wealth fund.  Not to get too technical, a crypto needs to be used and in the form of a Sovereign Wealth Fund, it is only something that can be traded – like baseball cards or stockmarket.  For Russia and the other BRICS, they use it to pay .. as it is designed .. an electronic cash.  I don’t know what to say about the value of this Sovereign Wealth Fund.  I also cannot figure out what exactly Glazyiev’s stance is.  Perhaps translation or perhaps I must read again.

But the most important is the program .. program “Social Justice and Economic Growth”, and the Russian Economic Forum.  If I can have those two, I can understand this work better.  I do agree, it has to be unpacked a bit.

The president of Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traore – who is a Muslim – has reportedly declined an offer from Saudi Arabia to build 200 mosques in his country, according to African Hub.

Instead, Traore suggested that Saudi Arabia invest in schools, hospitals, or businesses that would create jobs for the Burkinabe people.

Saudi funded mosques are usually associated with the Wahhabi strand of Islam, the ideology of many extremist and Takfiri groups that have been used to destabilize countries.

In 2009, then Secretary of State Hilary Clinton testified before a Congressional subcommittee on how the US brought militants from Saudi Arabia, “importing their Wahhabi brand of Islam,” to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan.

President Trump accused the Obama Administration of being the “founders” of  ISIS. In a 2014 lecture to Harvard students on foreign policy, VP Joe Biden explained how US allies –  including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey – used terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda to overthrow the Assad government in Syria.
