☝️ iirc, i read the Great Hunter was overcome by a single mosquito which entered through his ear into his cranium and whose buzzing drove him mad.
BTW, there are parallels of the AntiChrist in Nimrod, and his Legion too. At the end, after they’ve somehow defeated Russia/ Axes of Resistance, they’ll hurl “arrows” at the Sky too, and when the arrows return flecked in blood, they’ll declare they’ve defeated the beings in Heaven too. The madness of the messianic. Shortly thereafter, will come a plague sent at them, much much worse than that of mosquitos.

⭕ Iraq is in trouble: Ahmad Ibrahim al-Sha’a, Abu Mohammad al-Joulani, was Mosab al-Zarkawi’s lieutenant and emir of Nineveh during the #US occupation of Iraq and the sectarian war waged by al-Qaeda in Iraq (later ISIS).

How can Iraq establish a relationship with a man who is on Iraq’s most wanted list?
⭕ If you cannot handle the truth, I don’t have time to play mediator for your issues. I am an observer, not a participant.

Assad bears full responsibility for his defeat.

He allowed the Axis of Resistance to crumble—as a united front – but remained as fragmented and isolated factions.

He blocked Iran and Hezbollah from retaliating against Israeli aggression.

The Syrian army failed to fight effectively in Aleppo, Hama, Dara’a, Damascus, and Homs, in that order.

Today, the individual controlling Syria is a former Takfiri emir—a man who has killed US occupation forces and Iraqi officers, Iraqi Sunnis and Shias, as well as Syrian officers and civilians, regardless of sect.

Neither Israel nor the US has any interest in a stable Syria.

He and all US fronts are clueless. Eric Zuesse spelled it out.

Among public commentators, I think the LaRouchites are closest to the target.

Everyone speaks of Zion working to make US and Iran clash. It is much bigger than that now.

The late October attempt to attack Iran was in part physically repelled by Russia and publicly condemned by China, with their FM calling the Iranian counterpart within hours. But as with Oreshkin, they ignore the message and counter-escalate.

It’s for all the marbles. And the maddened messianic intend to go for it

☝️ this is a good point, and likely not a coincidence. The escalation to the zionazi rapture with Russia continues, after a pause with ATACMS, now that Syria is out of the game, militarily dismantled and being digested.

🔻 C1: Do you agree with Alex Krainer that Syria is a trap Russia set up to draw the Empire into a quagmire?
🔻 WS: Alex is a brilliant guy. But my inclination at this point is to doubt any theory that includes this idea in its premise.

My inclination, for now, is to think this was, at its root, a misguided US/Israeli scheme, with Erdogan playing the useful idiot role.

    But I may be wrong.

🔻 C2: How does the US lose 40 soldiers and not be a scandal?
🔻 C3: Its called ‘casualty laudering’
Some died in a helicopter accident, others during a training mishap & still others in a boating accident (perhaps)
🔻 WS: There have been at least a few hundred American “volunteers” killed in Ukraine since February 2022.

Lots of Poles, British, French, and others as well.
🔻 C1: Very interesting. If Russia set up a trap in Syria, the real mark is likely the US and Israel, not necessarily Erdogan. They could get bogged down in a quagmire of insurgency that might break the back of the Zionist colony and their backers.
    🔻 WS: retweets old:
“‼️ Iran Is the Decisive Battlefield I never cease to amazed by the misplaced idealism and realpolitik naivete of the Russian and Russophile doomer class.

    .
Therefore, Iran remains the only option.

    IRAN IS THE DECISIVE BATTLEFIELD.

If the empire doesn’t choose to fight for hegemony there, there will be no hegemony left to fight for.”
🔻 C1: I agree. Iran is the focus but Syria could become a major quagmire that can suck a lot of energy and resources of the US and Israel. It could turn their ‘victory’ over the Assad regime into a nightmare.
🔻 WS: I do not dispute that. I only doubt that the Russians and/or Iranians had some cunning plan to effect a “trap”. I think the Russians and Iranians simply “got out of the way” when they realized what was being cooked up by the other players in the region.
🔻 C1: Brian Berletic’s analysis on Syria. Worth watching   |media|
🔻 C1: Also I don’t see Russia leaving those bases in Syria anytime soon.
🔻 WS: They will stay as long as they believe they can. But they will also have a “rapid skedaddle” plan in place.

The Russians have potent firepower over the eastern Mediterranean from their own territory. Probably sufficient firepower to compensate for the temporary loss of bases.
🔻 C1: True they can reach any target they want in Europe and the ME with mid range hypersonic missiles like the Oreshnik so they don’t really need a base in the Med to project power
🔻 WS: They also have multiple types of long-range air- and sub-launched missiles.

    It must always be remembered:

The US/NATO have no meaningful air defenses anywhere in Europe or west Asia.

They themselves have admitted to having no more than 5% coverage of high-value targets
🔻 C1: True. Oreshnik can reach pretty much half of US territory from Ksmchatka. Putin specifically emphasized these hypersonic missiles cannot be stopped by NATO’s missile defense systems. This is why it’s so puzzling that the US keeps crossing Russia’s ATACMs red line.
🔻 C4: Syria was a NATO trap for Russia and Iran, who refused to take the bait. NATO will keep trying elsewhere.
    🔻 WS: #NoEasyWarsLeftToFight

And no willing proxies left to fight them.

American blood will be shed in the next stage of #TheLastWorldWar
🔻 C5: Yes, the DC/TH/London nexus will suffer its largest defeat ever..
⭕ 🔻 Senator Mark Kelly:  The F-35 is the most advanced fighter jet in the world with capabilities that are unmatched by any of our adversaries.

I would say that China and Russia are terrified of seeing it above the battlefield, but the truth is they’d never see it before it shot them down

    🔻 C1: cc: @imetatronink
🔻 WS: I don’t doubt he genuinely believes it.

⭕ — ✏️ Now it makes sense why Iran never delivered Bavar-373 or 3rd-Khordad Air Defense systems to Syria.

I guess Iran knew that at some point this would’ve happened and there wouldn’t be enough time to evacuate such systems as—in contrary to Russia—Iran does not have actual military bases inside of Syria to store them.

Russia transferred all air defense systems, those scattered outside their bases, to Tartous, where they are kept safe.
    ⭕ 🇮🇷|🇮🇷 IRGC Commander-in-Chief, Maj. General Salami:

“The last person on the defensive lines in Syria was an IRGC personnel”

    Highlights from his speech:

    • Contrary to claims, Iran did not lose its regional arms. Salami emphasized, “No, the system has not lost its arms. We are making decisions & taking action based on our internal capacities & capabilities. We have strong political logic for fighting and strong legitimacy for defense.”
    • Syria (government) was the only Arab country that had brightest and most significant history in confronting Zionism, they were the only country that rejected all reconciliation plans.
    • Takfiris were the West’s deterrent model against the Islamic Republic’s spiritual influence. Around 300,000 Takfiris from across the globe were brought into Syria & Iraq with slogans centered on massacring Shias, destroying shrines and tombs of the Imams.
    • Takfiris targeted any tomb that symbolized the religious identity of Muslims, especially Shias. They burned people alive. For instance, in the Speicher massacre in Iraq, nearly 2,000 young Iraqi Air Force cadets were massacred in a single day.
    • Over the past 13 years, Iran have worked to make Hezbollah & the Palestinian resistance factions more self-reliant & independent in their logistical support from Iran.
    • Illogical for IRGC to replace Syrian army.
    • After ISIS situatuon, Syrian army took control of defense lines, and the Syrian gov preferred Iran to reduce its large presence to avoid political propaganda against him.
    • Final person to leave the battlefield in Syria was an IRGC officer. Strategies must evolve with circumstances. A static approach cannot address diverse global & regional issues.
    • Iran provided intel to Syria’s political & military leadership on takfiri movements prior to their uprising. However, there was a lack of genuine will for change, war, and steadfastness
    • Answering a question, to Iran losing its regional influence. He says this is not true. Iran is still capable of supporting its allies. Pathways to support the resistance (Hezbollah & Palestinian resistance) remain open, and not all were depended on Syria. Even there, circumstances may evolve in new directions.

[Events move at a dizzying pace. So hard to keep up. We need at least 36 hours/d.
Yes this is interesting indeed. Iran is arming the Kurds?? No wonder the US is abandoning the Kurds in a hurry and the Turks rush to push them out of Syria into Iraq. Recall the first foreign visit of the new Iranian Prez was to Iraqi Kurdistan, and he is himself of part-Kurd stock… I’ve long said among the coalition which shall invade Anatolia and retake Constantinople will include Kurds, arabs, Iranians….]

The former Syrian army had only S-250, S-200, upgraded S-125, Buk and Pantsir S-1 systems.
French rebels fighting with the Ennosra Front witness the withdrawal of Russian military police forces from northeastern Syria.

These rebels come from the large French suburbs, thanks to the mediation of French intelligence. The latter invariably picks up their widows and orphans and repatriates them to France.

It should be noted that the rebels were given strict orders not to attack Russian forces in Syria, and this order is still respected. |media|
⭕ “It would be preferable, for the future, to divide Syria into five completely separate countries, which would eventually become Bantustans that we could control at any time”.

Basically, the idea has been in the air for quite some time. They did create Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia ex nihilo.
⭕ In the near future, the world will know just how crucial a role Azerbaijan played in destroying what Iran called the Axis of Resistance.

The Houthis have decided to continue fighting against Israel at any cost, at least until the fighting in Gaza concludes. [correction: until Siege is lifted on all Palestinians]

    — The Houthis’ activity seems particularly noticeable since the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
    — The main problem in the operation against the Houthis is the inability of Israeli or American actions to deter the Houthis from continuing their activities. Moreover, it appears that these actions are actually accelerating the Houthis’ activities against ships passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

It is important to remember that, certainly in the maritime context, no solution has been found to stop the Houthis’ activities, which have effectively led to the freezing of activity at the Port of Eilat and caused severe damage to Israeli imports from East Asia.

    — The Houthis operate from ideological motives and do not have “profit and loss” calculations.

They could have added the gas chambers.

Piles of clothes and piles of naked corpses scattered on the concrete floor are shown on a loop and the Syrians no longer think about the US and Israeli aerial bombardments or even the loss of the Golan or Mount Hermon or even Damascus but are increasingly enraged by seeing such images. The pro-US Arab media added their two cents by repeating urban legends such as the one about the presence of 80,000 prisoners in the famous Sednaya prison belonging to the intelligence services of the former defunct regime. It is technically impossible but everyone believed it. The White Helmets (Mi6) even announced that they would give up looking for underground prisons under this prison. 🔻Last night, the enemy carried out the first attack on “old” Russian territories with operational-tactical ATACMS missiles in a number of six units in a significant period of time.

    • There were no Neptune anti-ship missiles, no kamikaze UAVs, and certainly no Peklo drone-missiles, which were recently presented in the so-called Ukraine, in this strike. Only six ATACMS missiles.
    • According to our data, it was not possible to shoot down all the missiles over the Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, but it was possible to avoid any damage to the infrastructure. Only automotive equipment in the parking lot was affected.
    • The launch was carried out from the Zaporizhia Region, and the flight time was just under two minutes. This object has recently been under close scrutiny of Western intelligence, but they failed to achieve their goal.

❗️As for the Peklo drone-missile, its use was recorded yesterday, but in the Black Sea. One specimen was detected from the Odesa Region, and it was shot down by a MiG-29 of the Black Sea Fleet 120 km southwest of Tarkhankut around 11 am.

So this can be called the first combat use of the Ukrainian “wonder-weapon”, but not very successful, as it is described by the Ukrainian media at the behest of some of our information outlets.

The United States has not, for well nigh three-quarters of a century, fought a high-intensity war against a peer adversary. It has not, since 1945, even once achieved strategic victory in a war.

If the US attempts to make war against China, it will be defeated.
🔻 C1: Nonsense, you can dispute how much military experience the US gathered in the last century, but you cannot dispute it is on another level when compared with China.
    🔻 WS: Silly talk.

🔻 C1: Tell me, if not the US, which country has the most military experience?

🔻 WS: There ain’t near as many as there were. There were a few thousand in spring 2022. The smart ones skedaddled shortly after surviving their first massive Russian artillery barrage.

Now it’s just the kamikazes who have nothing else to live for but the adrenaline rush of battle.
🔻 C2: There are many high ranking NATO officers in a number of command centers in Central and West Ukraine who are guiding Ukraine’s military. Russia has not attacked the command centers for the most part but has said that it would Oreshnik them if US launches more ATACMS.
🔻 WS: The Russians used Iskanders to smoke 5 ATACMS launchers, 40 Americans, and 9 Frenchies back on November 25th, iirc. It was right after the last time they launched ATACMS into Russia.

I doubt we’ll see any more ATACMS / Storm Shadows launched into Russia in this war.

🔻 Free Speech My Ass ☭: Tell me, who else has done this in the last 30 years?
    🔻 C1: Only the US.

In terms of military experience from actual combat zones, the list from higher experience to lower is: 1) US, 2) Russia, 3) Israel, 4) Ukraine, 5) Iran (from it’s proxies), 6) China
🔻 Free Speech My Ass ☭: The US has not fought a war on this level against a near-peer adversary since WW2, Ace.
🔻 C1: Stop repeating this nonsense of “near-peer”, dude. Ukraine is not close to a peer to Russia. What matter is logistics, resources, strategy, technology, morale, armament, ammunition, production rate, maintenance rate, etc etc.
🔻 WS: The Ukrainians were, in early 2022, the largest and best military in Europe. By far. They would have rolled the combined NATO armies to the west.

But that army has long since been destroyed, along with two-and-a-half progressively weaker NATO-armed and trained armies.
🔻 C1: What the US did across the globe in the 90’s and in the 2000’s was more impressive and informative than what Russia is doing now. Plus, Ukraine is a proxy for the US, you know that right? The US is learning from the conflict too, and I would say more successfully than Russia
[These fanboys are seriously pathetic. They’re no different than zionazi roaches currently celebrating their “feats” against Palestinian civilians or the unattended Syrian Navy which was bombed & sunk]
🔻 WS: It’s easy to look “impressive” when no one’s shooting back at you.

    But now, there are #NoEasyWarsLeftToFight.

The next war the US gets into will reveal the myth of American military supremacy, and people like you will be dazed and confused by what happens.

🔻 C6: We attrited the hell outta Vietnamese something like 50,000 to 2 million dead and they still didnt give up and we lost. Ukrainian warriors are tough as nails too so this attrition model I’m not so sure about
🔻 C1: The Economist calculates it as 4:1 to 8:1 to Ukrainians
🔻 WS: The inhabitants of the so-called “western democracies” are the most misinformed and easily propagandized people in human history.

    The Economist. 🤣

In the final analysis, the Ukraine War will attest the most disproportionate casualty ratio of any major war in modern times.
🔻 C6: You’re high bro. Use common sense. Russia fires 10x artillery. Has air dominance and launches infinity more glide bombs and missiles blowing up Ukraine fortifications. It’s not quite shooting fish in a barrel but close.
🔻 C2: It’s the Ukrainians getting attritioned. It’s war they can’t win. 2 generations of Ukrainian men died for the US Empire… Now the warmongers want to send their teenagers to the front. Some say over a million dead Ukrainian men. 8 to 1 casualty rate in favor of Russia
🔻 WS: Very few Ukrainian KIAs ever even SAW a Russian soldier previous to being blown to pieces.
🔻 C1: I have no problem believing in a middle term. What is preposterous is you claiming the numbers propagated by the regime are legit

    Japan turned out wrong.
    🔻 WS: Nonsense.

Japan thought no such thing. Almost all the discerning Japanese leaders knew they could not defeat the United States in a war.

Japan opted for war against the US because, from their perspective, they were given no other choice.

🔥Abdulreza Faraji-Rad, a former elite Iranian diplomat, detailed how Putin cunningly used Erdogan to foil Washington and Tel-Aviv’s secret joint plans to drag Russia into a protracted and exhausting war in Syria.

    The Syrian gambit

Putin’s recent subtle December Syrian gambit, in which he launched Syrian jihadists directly against Israel and the US by “quickly withdrawing Assad” to Moscow, as analyzed yesterday by prominent Iranian diplomat Abdolrez Faraji-Rad, a well-known advocate of a strong Iranian presence in Syria, did not fall out of the blue, but was the perfect Russian response to Washington and Tel-Aviv’s secret raids around Syria this year.

Israel and the U.S., through the Emirates, began secret negotiations with Assad, and his Syrian backers, this year, promising to “ease Western sanctions against Syria” in exchange for “significant Syrian disengagement” from Iran and Russia. The wily Assadites promised a solution to Syria’s deep economic crisis, which was crushingly undermining their regime, from the talks. But the talks did not escape attention, and someone arranged for information about them to reach Turkey’s Erdogan.

A negotiated reconciliation of the Assads with the Israelis and the Americans, at the expense of the Iranians and Russians, would mark the final line over Turkish ambitions in Syria. So, as expected, Erdogan quickly mobilized his few pro-Turkish Syrian jihadists, and they went on the offensive in late November in what even Israeli intelligence at its outset considered a pure suicide. The attack by pro-Turkish jihadists on the Syrian Assadists was intended by Washington and Tel-Aviv to reignite the bloody Syrian civil war, exhausting all sides, including the Russians and Iranians, in protracted fighting and providing a pretext for continued Israeli campaigns against the Palestinians and Lebanese.

However, despite the expectations of the CIA and Mossad, the attack by Erdogan’s jihadists was quickly successful, as the “Syrian army” surprisingly offered no resistance, and the Iranian guardsmen in Syria resisted mainly by sight, as Tehran sent them no backup.

The result of Putin’s gambit is already shocking. The jihadists are not attacking Russians or Iranians in Syria. But by their rapid advance, a terrified Israel has already begun bombing Syria like mad yesterday, violating a UN resolution and invading treaty-demilitarized Syrian territory, and the Pentagon even sent a few B-52s against the jihadists this afternoon, destroying them with drones and making dramatic power talk. Yet not long ago, Israel was secretly treating jihadists wounded in the fight against the Assads, Russians and Iranians on its territory at the request of the US

⭕ 🔻 C1: How much of the recent #Bitcoin rally is Biden and Zelensky laundering money before it all ends next month…??
🔻 WS: IMO, it is wishful thinking to believe “it all ends next month”.

In the real world, when a major power wins a big war, they dictate the terms of its cessation. This war will be no exception.

Trump has ZERO leverage to compel a ceasefire in Ukraine. Putin will dictate terms.
🔻 C1: I meant that the Ukraine war ends cause Trump cuts Zelensky off.
🔻 WS: Time will tell. But I suspect Trump will prove to be unable to summarily walk away from a humiliation orders of magnitude worse — and more strategically significant — than the debacle in Afghanistan.

I’ll bet Trump will make a play to “save face” for American prestige.

    Don’t be sad comrades.

It seems the whole world is mourning, except for the satanists.

What happened is one of the alternating fortunes of war.
The Resistance was aware it was coming and has contingencies.
Not only will Hezbollah and the Palestinians not be strangled, there were always supply channels and smuggling routes, even in similar dire times in past.

The regime that fell was an anachronism that held the region back.
It was led by a hated minority sect (however irrational this hatred) that prevented the majority of the region coming to the common defense.
Assad may have cut a clean figure, but his police state was odious – they kept fearsome dungeons that even serviced the CIA “rendition” torture before 2011, and maintained much of their repression since.

Now, the coming abject slavery, and understanding that their foolish divisions and catastrophic leadership of arabs by PetroSheikhs and liberals and western lackeys are source of their problems, will do wonders to revitalize the arabs.

God helps those who help themselves.

And the Shia Crescent needs support. They are a minority in the region and cannot do it by themselves. Soon, the Sunnis will get their act together and sincerely join with the persians and others.

What became clear in last days is that the PetroSheikhs, under Anglo-Zionist instruction (being too dumb to dissemble and think it up themselves) have never changed their spots and betrayed the persians and multipolar side. They will pay for it with erasure and return to pre-Sykes-Picot, and at hand of their suzerains. And no one will lift a finger to help them.

Imran Hosein reuploaded an old timely lecture.
In it he goes over the eschatology of what he correctly terms, “the Yankee Jihad.”
Apparently there are Quranic verses that warn of these terrible End Times.

The muslims are explicitly warned from allying with the coming Judeo-Christian alliance, a satanic combination with NATO currently its military wing, when it arose in the future. Never before had jews and christians allied together to such a degree. So it was a predicted unique epoch, termed “Judeo-Christian civilization” in the combined West. This is the locus of the global spiritual battle.

Well it arose in recent centuries. The Muslims are promised torment in this life, and hellfire in the next life, if they join these evil forces.
So the stupid headchoppers who now have their state have a surprise coming to them…

    💠 @Strategika51:
⭕ But what is the Zionist war minister talking about? He claimed that the Israeli navy destroyed the Syrian navy last night as if there were an adversary. Zionists have a real complex and are too frustrated to reach this point and maintain the illusion that they are waging war on an enemy that no longer exists.
⭕ US transport and attack helicopters near Qalamoun in the greater Damascus region. US special forces landed on the outskirts of Damascus without encountering the slightest resistance.
⭕ And so it goes. History repeats itself.

The rebels in Syria begin summary executions by firing squad. A simple interrogation consisting of two questions, one of which asks whether the victim served in the former Syrian army. A simple nod of the head is all it takes to be shot.

Strangely enough, not a single rebel faction – and there are over a hundred of them, of all known affiliations – has commented on or reacted to the US-Zionist airstrikes.
⭕ “I don’t care if it’s nuclear weapons or something else” – Lukashenko has warned his enemies of an immediate response to any violation of the Belarusian border (🇧🇾).

Except for the poor folks of Greater Syria, there’s a small break in the news as the demons digest Syria and ramp up the Annihilation of Palestinians. We also wait to see what the Iranian supreme leader says tomorrow.. I doubt much. And even nukes won’t prevent what comes to Iran. The Feeding Frenzy is in full force

    💠@Strategika51:
⭕ A Zionist soldier (an Israeli Druze) poses on the desk of the former head of Quneitra in the Golan Heights. The Syrian rebels not only welcomed the Israeli forces, but opened the road for them and acted as their guides.
⭕❗️French fighter jets left Chad on Tuesday after the country demanded the withdrawal of the French military contingent, according to French media reports
[this is main French base in Sahel, and a neighbor of Niger. Macron personally hosted its Junta leader at least twice in Paris this year iirc]
Very difficult times lie ahead for the people of Europe. An implacable dictatorship is being blatantly established. It’s unprecedented: neither the Gestapo nor the Stasi, the Okhrana or the Paris political police have ever reached such a degree of totalitarianism.

    [cont. thread]
🔻 Armchair Warlord: Last I heard the squadron was anchored in the Tartus roadstead waiting on developments ashore. …
🔻 Matt: You both casually speak as if naval bases are a fungible concept. You might as well say why not relocate to Tierra de Fuego?

Tartus is a critical link in Russian naval strategy going back to the 1960s. Sevastopol on the Black Sea can and will be cut off anytime Russia is in conflict with Turkey.

A warm water port on the Medi is immeasurably strategic. Ships can be refueled, rearmed and repaired. Relief crews can be flown in and out. If Turkey cuts off the Black Sea Fleet, Russian warships still have a safe haven on the Med.

Ditto their air force base SE of Latakia. Russian transport planes can fly around Turkish air space, land and refuel, then proceed to bases in Libya and then Central Africa. Losing the air base by Latakia cuts off Russian forces in Africa.

Another advantage to keeping these bases, from the new govt. of Syria’s POV, is it makes them far less likely to be hit by American, NATO or IDF bombers. While 70 or so bombing missions were carried out across Syria over the weekend, the Russian bases were NOT touched.
🔻 WS: Having their Syrian bases has undeniably been an advantage over the past 50 years. But if open war between the US/NATO were to break out, neither Russian bases, nor US/NATO bases, nor surface warships in general would be defensible in the eastern Mediterranean.

Any naval conflict in the region would very likely become “undersea only”. And Russian nuclear-powered subs would be present in force, and pose a potent threat to their undersea counterparts, US/NATO surface warships, and US/NATO bases from Gibraltar to Cyprus.

As for the Black Sea Fleet, it is purpose-built to defend The Black Sea. It doesn’t need to leave.

And, when it comes to the Turkish Straits, I don’t believe the Turks are dumb enough to aggravate the Russians in a war scenario. The Russians can hurt the Turks A LOT more than the Turks could hurt the Russians.

Finally, the small Russian Mediterranean Fleet could very conceivably be temporarily based at Bandar Abbas or Chabahar, and as such, would alter the strategic equations in that important region.
🔻 Matt: Great, Russia gets to sail around in 1/4 of the Black Sea. But they can’t get their warships or subs out unless Turkey lets them.

Ditto Kalingrad and St. Pete. I made this map during the Nord Stream episode.

IOW, Russia cannot get their warships to the open Atlantic unless NATO and Turkey permit them to. Other than from Murmansk. This is why year-round ports like Tartus are critical. As I said elsewhere, you can sink an aircraft carrier, you can’t sink a naval base. Pearl Harbor was back in action soon after Dec. 7, 1941
🔻 WS: Come on, Matt. Be serious. Putting a “NATO” label on all those countries does NOT magically bestow upon them meaningful power.

If one or more of those countries attempted to impede a Russian naval flotilla or cargo ships, then the Russians would step back for a few weeks, blast all the ports, warships, and bases from Finland to Denmark, warn all the little NATO chihuahuas along the way to stand down or else, and every last one of them would agree to the unimpeded passage of Russian shipping.

And remember, the US Navy could simply not operate in the Baltic Sea in the scenario of a war with Russia.

Lastly, if the US/NATO attempts to launch an air campaign against the Russians in a bid to close access to the Atlantic via the Baltic, I am long on record asserting that such an undertaking would prove shockingly disastrous for the empire and its mythical air supremacy.
🔻 C3: Speaking of Iran … how much does this change their calculus? Surely must set them back into a more defensive posture? Is anyone in Tehran losing sleep over this or is there a “good while it lasted” mood abound …?
🔻 Matt: [the industrious mapmaker posted this map as well as an answer, LOL]
🔻 WS: I am very dubious Iranian logistics to Hezbollah will be appreciably diminished … at least not for long.

What capability to interdict Iran/Lebanon supply lines will be enhanced by the fall of Syria to the regional banditry?

Maybe we should ask the Houthi, or the US Navy.
[exactly. This is largely a myth, and contrived justification to savage Syria further. The real reason became clear in last days – to knock back Syria into stone age and occupy it further, among other nefarious plans]
🔻 C4: moreover to the extent the land route through syria was critically compromised, it would have occurred at the start of syrian civil war in 2011: not a few days ago.

that hezbollah’s capabilities have improved with time not degraded, shows the land route’s importance diminished
🔻 C5: 🇷🇺 is still on the board for a Sudanese port (chaos is an opportunity) & is good buddies w/ Eritrea and Somalia. Pulling out Assad was great strategy. Let Israel go nuts in an already failed sandbox while you retreat bloodlessly. Anyone can invade a place, but can they hold it?
🔻 C6: One inmediatly think that that territory is now closed to the Iranians, but is it really?
I just saw Al Jazeera’s interview with Lavrov stated the the west “fish in the caos after the destabilization of a region”.
Can’t two play that game? I think so
[exactly. Deeply impoverished Syrians will help the smuggling. And after the frenzy of toppling the former regime shortly abates, some will remember their responsibilities to the Palestinians and the needs of Hezbollah. This is FAR from over. In fact, after the sick fixation of toppling “Assad” for a half-century, now there should be a fresh and invigorating outlook and recalibration, especially in setting of wasting the crazies and seeing Pax Judaica urinating all over their honor. Very good days ahead, after the rebirth from the Ashes. And I saw an interesting preview of Eschatology today which foresees the Return of Russia to this region, and within 3-9 years in a shocking triumph]
🔻 C7: It looks very much like apart from removing Assad from the equation, much remains in Syria as it was.
[Yep. So do not despair folks. Hezbollah ain’t goin anywhere, no matter how the raving howl and strut. But the Palestinians will be sent on Exodus to Jordan now. continuing their eternal fight from the east bank of the River Jordan, where I last stood five years ago!]
🔻 C8: There is another reading of what happened in Syria: Russia and Iran greenlit Assad’s removal because he was not an effective fighting force. Turkey backed HTS would be much stronger. Israel’s mad bombing of Syrian weapons indicates they don’t consider the new regime friendly.
[Yes, Al Assad was permitted to suicide himself, but not to see the takeover of such beasts. THAT is on Zio-USUK-Turks]
🔻 WS: That is an interesting thesis to consider. And quite a plot twist, if true. 🤔
🔻 C9: Tell me you are clueless about geo-strategical issues without telling me you are clueless about geo-strategical issues.
Sooo the Wahhabi jihadis are just going to let Iranian Shia ship weapons through the country they now run? 🤡
🔻 WS: “the country they now run” 🤣

They’ll never run anything … except amok.

In any case, these people are masters of the arts of clandestine trade. They’ve done it for millennia. They’re doing it as we speak. They’ll be doing more of it come tomorrow. And the day after that, too.
    [well said]
⭕ 🧵 I continue to regard the post below as one of my most cogent sets of arguments as to the impossibility of the US to win an overseas war in a non-permissive environment against a peer adversary.

(I welcome well-reasoned rebuttals, but will not suffer incoherent fools or bots.)
    📜 Staggering Towards the Abyss
🔻 C1: Just because you say something doesn’t make it an priori fact.
Do you have any evidence at all for a tri-party military alliance between Iran, Russia, and China, let alone one that has something similar to NATO’s Article 5?
🔻 WS: They actually have a bona fide set of bilateral mutual defense pacts. Much better than the silly myth called NATO Article 5.
🔻 C2: You may be correct about the U.S. not winning a war against a peer adversary. But the U.S. has other objectives which apparently have come into fruition like regime change, failed nation states and the destruction of the Axis of Resistance.

    From today’s Moon of Alabama
🔻 WS: I think people often make draw premature conclusions in relation to events that have only just begun to play out.
    ‼️ End of Empire Axioms

    ALL allegiances are transitory.
🔻 C1: Question, if Russia had not invested this decade in Syria would they be in a better or worse position today?
🔻 WS: In my view, there is no question whatsoever that the Russian reassimilation of Crimea and intervention into Syria were the two primary catalyzing forces for what has now become, a decade later, the almost meteoric resurgence of Russian power and global influence.
[well said. This was the first instance of Russia beating not only the combined West, but almost 100 nations who marched in to topple Al Assad; it accrued tremendous regional respect and helped sway GCC into tentative steps of multipolarity and BRICS. Let this sink in for those who disparage Putin and wail that Syria was a waste. It was in the balance a huge victory]
🔻 C1: something most saying it’s downfall was a strategic defeat for Russia neglect to mention it seems
    [cont. thread]
‼️ Iran Is the Decisive Battlefield
    .
    .
    .
The loss of Syria means absolutely NOTHING absent the defeat of Iran.

The Masters of Empire understand this fact.

They KNOW they cannot fight the Russians in eastern Europe.

They KNOW they cannot fight the Chinese in east Asia.

Therefore, Iran remains the only option.

    IRAN IS THE DECISIVE BATTLEFIELD.

If the empire doesn’t choose to fight for hegemony there, there will be no hegemony left to fight for.
🔻 C1: They might install/open a naval base in the Gulf of Oman, on Iranian soil, we’ll see. But if they have to leave Latakia/Hemnin then the only (theoretical) options for a Mediterranean naval base would be Libya or Egypt.
🔻 WS: There are already imperfect rail lines stretching from St. Petersburg and Shanghai to the southeastern Iranian coast. The routes are being improved as rapidly as possible.

The Russians have a naval base in Djibouti (as does China).

Look at a map and draw your own conclusions.
    ⭕ Utter nonsense.

The United States has not, for well nigh three-quarters of a century, fought a high-intensity war against a peer adversary. It has not, since 1945, even once achieved strategic victory in a war.

If the US attempts to make war against China, it will be defeated.
    [response to:
“Gen. Smith: “The advantage lies with us because our last combat was captured on somebody’s iPhone 14…

The Chinese’ last combat was captured on oil and canvas, and they should not forget that…

I would not undersell the value that our combat experience brings to this fight.”” |media|
🔻 C1: The same can be said for China
🔻 WS: Given the choice, I’ll take China’s cards, thank you.
🔻 C2: The piss wean U.S only attacks defenceless countries who can’t fight back and that’s a fact!
🔻 WS: Except that didn’t even work out against the Yemeni, who chased the USS Brave Sir Robin and its escorts right out of the Red Sea, never to return.
🔻 C3: What’s he referring to? What did we capture on an iPhone 14?

CSG Ike turning around? Are they counting Ukraine?
    🔻 C4: There’s a single facility in China producing 1000 tomahawk clones a month.
🔻 WS: There is not a single member of the US military, from the topmost general to the lowliest private who has EVER seen high-intensity warfare where competent adversaries with lots of accurate firepower are raining high-explosive brimstone on their heads.

    #NoEasyWarsLeftToFight
🔻 C5: Well yeah…no ground wars of consequence since Vietnam. And it’s not gonna happen on our soil. So I’m not sure we ever would unless we went to defend an ally.
🔻 WS: Couldn’t be done. All the Marine Amphibious Ready Groups are in a state of woeful disrepair. Archaic antiques, one and all.

So where is the war-winning order of battle for the mighty US military?

How you gonna fight Russia, or Iran, or China?
    [on CNN and social media]
🔻 C6: Imagine the years of successful combat experience which gave rise to the Humvee.
🔻 WS: I’ve seen a lot of video of what Russian FPV drones do to Humvees (and all other APCs and IFVs) in Ukraine. It’s not a pretty sight.
🔻 C7: I mean talk about being caught up on your own kewl aid. China has leapfrogged the Americans. Minus nuclear strikes, there’s about nothing the latter can do.
🔻 WS: They could show us how to lose an entire carrier strike group in a single afternoon:
🔻 C8: Pentagon can do it if you allow them to spend all fuel in drones and airplanes, circling above the “enemy” for hours and hours.

    Is it a war ?
🔻 WS: The lowly Yemeni are the global leaders in shooting down MQ-9 Reaper drones. Their tally is now up to at least 15 of them (Triple Ace status, at $35M each). They’ve also shot down a few F-16s, at least 2 F-15s, and dozens of drones from other countries.
[Hey, be more respectful talkin of my in-laws. They kick ass, an thats what counts lads]
