Except for a few terrorist acts outsourced against Russkies, and continued cleansing within Greater Syria of all “amalek”, it’s been a blessedly quiet few days. The doting three letter agencies are busy with christmas among their families..

    💠@Sputnik Africa:
⭕ 📌 Major world events by the morning of December 26

    • Of the 38 people killed in the passenger plane crash in Kazakhstan, seven have been identified, reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic;
    • Russia’s Federal Security Service prevented a series of assassination attempts by Kiev’s special services on high-ranking military officials of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Four suspects were detained in connection with the preparations, the FSB reported;
    • In Russia, more than 40 arsons and explosions were committed over ten days on the orders of fraudsters from Ukraine, according to law enforcement agencies;
    • US President-elect Trump promised Canada more than a twofold tax reduction in the event of joining the US;
    • A Syrian security force unit was ambushed in Tartus, resulting in 14 soldiers killed and 10 injured, reported to the agency SANA by Syrian Interior Minister Mohammad Abdul Rahman.

⭕ 🇷🇺 Key takeaways from Russian FM Lavrov’s statements:

    Ukraine:

    • A ceasefire in Ukraine is “a path to nowhere.” Russia seeks reliable agreements, not “empty talk;”
    • Lavrov criticized the undermining of the Minsk agreements, which were UN Security Council decisions, with US support;
    • Lavrov emphasized that the UN Charter supports both territorial integrity and self-determination, citing Crimea, Donbass, and Novorossia;
    • The Russian language and the Orthodox Church of Ukraine are being “annihilated” in Ukraine, which Russia views as a root cause of the crisis;
    • Lavrov accused France of publicly supporting Ukraine with military aid while privately proposing dialogue with Russia, excluding Kiev;
    • Lavrov stressed addressing human rights issues in Ukraine, highlighting linguistic and religious oppression.

🇺🇸 Relations with the United States:

    • Lavrov emphasized that the US must make the first move to restore relations, which it severed after Russia’s special military operation began;
    • Russia is ready for consultations with the U.S., hoping for a deeper understanding of the conflict’s root causes.

🇸🇾 On the situation in Syria:

    • Russia is interested in discussions with Syria’s new government on regional issues, security, and economic cooperation;
    • Lavrov hopes Syria avoids Libya’s fate and stresses the need to prevent the country’s disintegration;
    • Russia, Turkey, and Iran see the Astana Platform as a valuable tool following the power change in Syria.

⭕ Three Alawite Syrian judges and a fourth Sunni judge were found assassinated in their homes, killed in what appears to be a well-known execution style.
In Tartus, 14 people were killed and 10 wounded after local protests and gun battles with militants. Video footage of the burning of a holy Alawite shrine in Aleppo a few weeks ago, after the fall of Assad, sparked a wave of protests in Homs, Tartus, Latakia and Jablah. The Curfew was lifted this morning.
Abu Mohammad al-Joulani: Deception and Sectarian Legacy

Abu Mohammad al-Joulani’s true intentions of deception and dishonesty became evident when he hosted Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt.

Between 2003 and 2006, while imprisoned in Camp Bucca, Iraq, by US forces, Joulani served as a Takfiri emir of Nineveh, actively involved in the killing of Iraqi security forces and Shia civilians prior to the infamous Samarra attack in February 2006. At that time, Al-Qaeda’s central leadership, particularly Sheikh Ayman al-Zawahiri, opposed the sectarian killings perpetrated under the orders of Joulani and his superior, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

This history underscores the duplicity of the de facto self-appointed leader of Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa, when he declared: “What do we have to do with events that happened 1,400 years ago? Some [Iran and its allies] come here seeking revenge against the people of Sham for a historical event that took place over a millennium ago.”

His statement is fundamentally disingenuous. Instead of feigning innocence, he should have acknowledged his role and sought forgiveness for his direct involvement in sectarian violence.

After his release in 2008, Joulani resumed his killing spree in Iraq, continuing his sectarian campaign until his relocation to Syria in 2011. From 2011 to 2024, his brutal tactics persisted. Even after the fall of Damascus, his faction continued sectarian killings, including in Aleppo on December 5th. A team from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) remains actively involved in secret executions of military and civilian figures—acts that eerily mirror the assassination methods familiar from his earlier years.

This ongoing pattern of violence highlights why the rebranding of Joulani’s identity—crafted by a British team of spin-doctors and media coaches—ultimately failed. The attempt to sugarcoat his image could not erase the indelible mark of his sectarian crimes, which remain etched in the memories of those who have suffered under his reign.
Ahmad al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammad al-Joulani, is a necessity for many players, but also an embarrassment who will be removed in due course. His own protectors will remove him when his role in Syria is expected to end, not necessarily to secure a good or bad future for the country.

⭕  Syrian media reports on US troop movements in Syria

A convoy of US occupation forces, including about 20 vehicles, arrived at a military base in the Syrian countryside of Hasakah, traveling from Iraq at dawn today, with air cover to protect it.

The sources said the convoy was following a US special forces team that was previously stationed at the Ain Asad base in Iraq and then headed to Al-Hasakah on a previously unannounced mission.

The sources added that the new forces are expected to later move to another base near Damascus in coordination with al-Julani.

⭕ ‼️ My friend Lee Slusher, who has long attested credible and particular knowledge of such things, engages in some informed speculation regarding the potential reach of Russia’s electronic warfare capabilities — and its potential relationship to recent events in the Red Sea
    [Links:
🔻 Lee Slusher: This is nothing but curious questioning. I don’t claim to know what happened with the purported friendly fire incidents involving the USS Gettysburg in the Red Sea. I simply wish to share some thoughts.

In 2014, an unarmed Russian Su-24 buzzed the USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea. A Russian media outlet claimed an electronic warfare system aboard the aircraft disabled the ship’s Aegis Combat System. The US denies the Aegis was impacted in any way.

In 2016, this time in the Baltic Sea, Russian aircraft again buzzed the Cook. (The photo below was taken aboard the ship during the incident.) A pair of Su-24s reportedly made twenty passes, according to an unnamed senior defense official. Two Russian Ka-27 helicopters came similarly close to the Cook the following day.

I remember these incidents well. They were relevant to my work at the time and remain so. If you follow me, you’ve likely seen my posts about Russian EW capabilities. I consider these to be dangerously underestimated among Western militaries, even after public acknowledgements of their successes against American weapons systems in Ukraine.

(The Cook couldn’t catch a break and in 2021—again in the Black Sea—Su-24s buzzed the ship once more. But you get the point.)

The reasons for Russia’s obsession with the Aegis, both the ship-based version and the Aegis Ashore systems in Romania and Poland, are obvious. I’m curious about them now given the ongoing escalation in Ukraine.

In response to Ukraine’s HIMARS and Storm Shadow missile strikes in Russia (which required Western targeting assistance), Russia fired its experimental Oreshnik missile, for which there are no publicly known countermeasures. After a short pause, Ukraine resumed missile attacks against targets inside Russia. Then came the assassination of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov in Moscow and Ukrainian drone attacks on civilian apartments in the Russian city of Kazan.

Russia repeatedly sends signals regarding its escalation dominance in the region, but seemingly to no effect. Now very strange things are happening aboard yet another guided-missile ship, this time not the Cook (an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer) but the Gettysburg (a Ticonderoga-class cruiser)—but both rely on the Aegis.

Whether there were Russian aircraft near the Gettysburg when the ship fired on multiple US planes, we simply do not know. But if Russia can defeat, jam, or otherwise manipulate the Aegis system—and I’m not saying Russia has this capability, only that I suspect it might—could this capability be transferred to another platform (including sea and land-based), or could Russia deliver similar effects from a greater distance (including from space)? These are not far-fetched questions.

Again, I’m only sharing my own curiousities. The most parsimonious explanations regarding the incidents with the Gettysburg are human error and weapons system failure, especially given the US Navy’s many failures of seamanship in recent years. But it’s something to consider.

I also remain very curious about the explosion of the US’s Intelsat 33e satellite in October 2024. But here, too, the easiest explanations are incompetence or systems failure. After all, Boeing isn’t what it used to be.

    Anyway—Merry Christmas, everyone!]
🔻 C1: This possible spoofing similar to the us navy ships years back running around or into other ships? Russian flagged ship “explosion” & sinking in a calm Mediterranean sea today related?

The missile cruiser USS Gettysburg, almost shot down another US Naval Air Force F/18 Super Hornet fighter with an SM-2 missile…

No way! Either someone’s doing it on purpose or they’ve got incompetents on board…
Yemen’s Houthis remain the only state and non-state actor to have attempted to target US nuclear-powered aircraft carriers with hundreds of kamikaze drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. It’s a world record that no one will be able to beat.
How did the Yemeni Houthis shoot down a US F/A-18 Super Hornet?

In July 2024, Yemeni drone and missile operators accidentally discovered a strange flaw in the defense systems of American aircraft carriers.

The original flaw is that when US warplanes land and take off from the carrier deck, their defense systems malfunction and sometimes shut down for a very short time. After launching more than 300 kamikaze drones at US aircraft carriers in the region, the Houthis learned that this was the best opportunity to target them.

Given this information, the Houthis decided to take an empirical approach: they fired on the Nimitz-class sea giant in such a way as to coincide the arrival of the kamikaze drones and missiles with the moment when an F/A-18 Super Hornet armed with a full array of bombs and Air-to-Ground missiles took off in a wave of assault against Yemen. The missile cruiser USS Gettysburg emptied all its SM-2 missile reserves to counter the attack that no one expected. Hit by a drone or a friendly SM-2 missile, an F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter, flagship of the US naval air arm, was lost.

Tom Cruise didn’t have to fight Russians, Chinese, North Koreans or space aliens to lose his F-18: people in sandals and chewing Khat did.

⭕ Russian Embassy Denies Reports of Sudan’s Refusal to Host Russian Navy Base

The reports about Sudan’s alleged refusal to host a Russian Navy logistics center are false, the Russian Embassy in Sudan told TASS.

“We were pleased to read the article by the well-known foreign agent and fakemaker, the Dutch branch of The Guardian — The Moscow Times (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent — TASS note) — about how Russia is “doing badly” in Sudan. We were pleased that the quality of the material hit another rock bottom. After all, everything written is a lie from the first to the last letter, so there is no need to stoop to comment. Even the links provided in the text are either distorted in meaning, or lead to non-existent pages, or send us to the distant year 2020,” the embassy said.
Earlier, a number of Western media outlets, citing anonymous sources in Sudanese intelligence, reported that Khartoum allegedly refused an agreement with Moscow on the deployment of a logistics center for the Russian Navy due to potential sanctions from the United States.
The conclusion of an agreement between the countries on the establishment of a Russian Navy logistics center in Sudan became known in early December 2020. The logistics center is supposed to be used for repairs, replenishment of supplies and rest of the crew members of Russian ships. According to the document, the maximum number of personnel at the Navy center will not exceed 300 people. No more than four Russian ships will be able to be there at the same time

Also from a commentary by a representative of the Russian Embassy in Sudan
“We were surprised to note that part of the Russian blogosphere, in unison with other foreign agents like Deutsche Welle, openly gloated on this topic.
We note with regret that the level of awareness of the Russian “expert community” in the part concerning Africa, in its majority, still remains weak. Which, however, reflects the shortage of relevant specialists in our country as a whole.
We note with sadness that the lack of knowledge does not cool the desire to remain “on trend” at any cost.
We look to the future with hope, we believe in the professionalism of observers who are not shy about engaging real experts, asking for clarifications, getting to the bottom of the truth… There are such examples, their professional growth is noticeable, their voices are becoming more and more audible.”

‼️ More “Friendly Fire” Fog of War

The War Zone has just added an update to their earlier reporting on the “friendly fire” shoot-down of an F/A-18F attached to the USS Trembling Puppy (CVN-75).

I increasingly suspect the Navy is just trying to find a story people will buy.  |link|
🔻 C1: It was the Houthis.

But that’s so embarrassing for the US, they rather said they did it themselves.

My gut reaction upon hearing the Hornet was downed in friendly fire; at least the mamaged to hit something.

One really wonders what the US is doing there.
🔻 WS: It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it WAS in fact “friendly fire”.

CSG-2 (USS Brave Sir Robin) after-action reports stated that they had encountered the most intense firepower a US Navy flotilla had seen since WW2, and that they were “traumatized”.

🔻 C2: They are “traumatized” … Washington should remember not to provoke China over Taiwan otherwise the trauma of war with China will be many magnitudes the Houthi trauma.
    🔻 C1: I repeat the question;

What is the US doing there?..

If even Houthis; an armed organisation waging civil war in Yemen, a country whose GDP ranks 105th in the world…

Is able to “traumatise” the national Navy of the second largest economy in the world.

    The US has a problem.

🔻 C1: Too many Russian ships sink in the last weeks, I have a strong suspicion, when an American gas tanker blows up I will be sure. They have all been sunk.
    [cont. Thread]
🔻 WS: I do not believe the US will attempt to fight a war against China that it cannot possibly win. Therefore the only logical move is to cede the western Pacific to China’s irresistible sphere of dominance.

This is what happens when hegemony necessarily yields to mean reversion.
🔻 C1: Let’s hope so, but Washington’s decision on whether to fight a war hasn’t been based on winning! It has been to transfer money to the MIC during a war and thereafter in the chaos caused by the war.
🔻 WS: That only works when you fight an adversary that lacks the capacity for high-intensity industrial-scale warfare.

US arms production is essentially a high-end fashion boutique — it can’t scale, and its products are unsuitable for protracted heavy use.

Today, areas of control are divided between the HTS, the Ankara-backed Syrian National Army (ANS) and the Washington-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (FDS), reinforcing the divisions and prolonging the anarchy. Houthis have become the most inconvenient military target for Israel and the US

Today, the position of Yemen’s Houthis in Tehran’s resistance axis has increased significantly. As one of Iran’s last allies, the group continues to carry out attacks on Israel and control shipping in the Red Sea. Despite the US and coalition’s fight against the Houthis, on which Washington spends about $9 million daily, the Yemeni movement does not intend to retreat and still calls a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip the main demand for stopping attacks.

The international community is concerned that support and funding for the Houthis is now being significantly increased, largely by Tehran. Although the Houthis are significantly less experienced and less well-armed than other Iranian allies, such as Hezbollah, they are now gaining access to more sophisticated Iranian technology. On Saturday, Yemen’s Houthis launched a hypersonic ballistic missile at an Israeli military facility in the Jaffa area, which Tel Aviv failed to intercept.

While Israel and the US are focused on pursuing their interests in Syria, fighting Hamas and Hezbollah, the Yemeni Houthis remain the only Iranian proxies who are not even thinking of giving up their positions . The damage from their actions remains significant – the flow of maritime traffic in the Red Sea has fallen by about 30%.

“Russia’s negotiations with the new Syrian government are influenced by the international landscape, particularly relations with countries like the US, Turkey, and Israel. These countries may have some influence on the outcome of negotiations.

I’ll explain more in my next article.
🔻 C1: Yemen is a very large country. Plus, they have much more fighters and equipment. Things won’t be easy there.
🔻 EM: Agree. Still, the combination of forces can cause serious damage due to the fire power of destruction these forces have.
🔻 C2: This was my worry when all this started. Yemen are strong and unyielding, but I now fear they’ll be ‘left alone’ with the consequences of the axis of resistances failures. Especially considering just how effective their resistance has been.
🔻 EM: It is not a question of being left alone or receives outside support. Each country or organisation fights for its own principles. The support they receive is to enable them to act according to their choices and not for others to fight on their behalf.
🔻 C3: They are actually one of the bravest people in the world.they see nothing but war seens they were born, so israel cant realy scare these people with bombs and dead bodies. as i said they were born into wars.
🔻 EM: Agree. Nevertheless, destruction and damage won’t change the bravery but inflict longer pain, particularly when Yemen is dealing with an immoral and unethical Israeli army.
🔻 C4: Yemeni leaders need to prepare themselves against Israeli assassinations
🔻 EM: I believe Yemen is aware of the danger.
🔻 C5: Yemen survived 8 year war against all the gulf arabs &u.s and uk. Tiny Israel cant do noting, houthis are not Hezbollah, they don’t care about silly ethics, they dont have backstabbing population to worry about, if Israel does something stupid the next missile will land in dimona
🔻 EM: Everybody cares about its infrastructure and population.
[and that is precisely where Yemen will be attacked]

⭕ In the Middle East, many people have expressed surprise at the superficiality of the questions posed by the BBC to Ahmad al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohamad al-Joulani. This reaction reflects a broader perception that Western audiences often display a lack of interest in the deeper nuances of politics and geopolitics, relying instead on oversimplified and surface-level assessments.

For example, in the heart of Europe, “social integration” is frequently – not exclusively – judged by external, culturally specific markers such as eating pork, drinking alcohol, or, if married, having a wife who does not wear a headscarf.

Yet, even when an individual conforms to these so-called “modernised” behaviors, they may still face exclusion from societies entrenched in a colonial mindset and steeped in a patronising attitude toward cultural differences. This perspective highlights the inherent flaw in reducing individuals to such narrow criteria, as it disregards the broader cultural and political complexities that shape identities and experiences.

The deeper issue lies with individuals who feel compelled to prove their belonging to Western society by conforming to superficial standards that are disconnected from their own cultural values. Integration should not be contingent on abandoning personal or cultural choices in favour of arbitrary markers of acceptance. True integration requires mutual respect and understanding, rather than adherence to reductive parameters that neither define a person’s worth nor contribute to genuine inclusion. |link|

    3. Make the Monroe Doctrine great again.
🔻 Sina: Objective: Seize land and resources.

They don’t want all of Mexico—just the valuable parts. For example, Sonora, a border state with Arizona, has some of the largest lithium deposits in the world, among other minerals. Or the Baja Peninsula, which in addition to being rich in biodiversity, has a development potential worth hundreds of billions of dollars, as it’s one of the most stunning regions on the planet.

Mexico is also the world’s leading producer of silver.

Another goal is regime change. They view the Morena administration as contrary to their “ideals” and see it as a threat. Historically, they’ve always sought a weak and subservient Mexico. An independent and strong Mexico doesn’t align with their interests. |links|
🔻 C3: The US military is already overextended.
🔻 Sina: Invading Mexico would be easy, as the military strength of the United States is vastly superior to that of Mexico. Additionally, due to its proximity, supply routes for the U.S. military and the range of its missiles would make annexing large parts of Mexico and overthrowing its government a simple task.
🔻 WS: It would require the strength of the entire active and reserve US ground forces to conquer and occupy the northern half of Mexico.

That means relinquishing its ground force military presence everywhere else on the planet.

I assess this course of action at ZERO probability.

First Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia; then Finland and Sweden will seek an annulment of their shotgun marriages.
[I disagree with the part about the Scandinavians. They’re hardcore; they’ve rolled the dice like Anglos, and should similarly go down with the Titanic]
🔻 C2: Interesting predictions. I’ve observed your track record and so appreciate it is not without foundation on fact.

Possibly add Czechia to the list, especially as you have Slovakia already. The Czech mini-coup in 2023 didn’t go unnoticed by the citizens.

⭕🔻 Elbridge Colby: I am profoundly honored by and grateful to President @realdonaldtrump for nominating me to serve as his Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. If confirmed by the Senate, it would be an exceptional privilege to work with @petehegseth and his team to implement President Trump’s vitally necessary agenda. As the President has rightly made so clear, it is vital to focus our defense policy on restoring peace through strength and always putting America first.

    🔻 WS: [retweets old:]
I hope Elbridge Colby realizes his fondest aspirations, and lands a meaningful role in the formulation of US foreign policy.

I want all my criticisms of his #EmpireAtAllCosts dogma to be vindicated by subsequent events in which his face and name feature prominently.
⭕ 🧵 Donald Trump continues to pack his foreign policy team with #EmpireAtAllCosts cult disciples.

A short selection of my criticisms of Elbridge Colby follows in the replies to this post.
    🔻 WS: ⚡️ Unobtainium

Colby essentially acknowledges the reality that, among many options, the US can choose one — and ONLY ONE — overseas war to fight.

However, he blinds himself to the reality that in order to prosecute this “ONE WAR”, it would be necessary for the US to effectively vacate every major American military base on the planet — there would be no other way to generate a force sufficient to even attempt war against Russia, China, or Iran.

And even though it would take at least a year to concentrate such a force in any of those putative theaters of battle, the US strategy will necessarily depend upon quick victory, which they cannot obtain.

And they simply cannot sustain a protracted high-intensity campaign against ANY of their adversary choices.

Defeat lurks behind every door in this game. And afterwards, the US will be effectively disarmed in terms of expeditionary warfare for at least a generation.

This is the cold hard reality of the situation at present, and I defy Colby or any of his fellow #EmpireAtAllCosts disciples to counter the many arguments I have made to that effect.

I will link to my latest in the reply to this post.
🔻 WS: Colby has gone balls to the wall #EmpireAtAllCosts #BatshitCrazy.

The notion that the US could defeat China in a war in its own neighborhood is the height of delusion. It couldn’t be done now, and it couldn’t be done in a decade even if that were the US’s sole focus.
    [links:
“The US has a very strong interest in not allowing China to subordinate Taiwan. The US thus should be willing to fight to defend Taiwan.

The key is to make sure we can do it successfully and at a tolerable cost. That’s why we need to laser focus. |link|” ]
🔻 WS [July 2023]: Colby is inexplicably in thrall to the fallacious notion that fighting a war against China has better prospects than the one currently being lost against Russia.

📜 The Ontological Incoherence of American Imperial Exceptionalism
⭕ 🔻 C1: Panama’s President responds to Trump: “Every square meter of the canal and its surrounding area is sovereign Panamanian territory.”
    🔻 Armchair Warlord: Okay, Zelensky.
🔻 WS: The Panama Canal cannot be transited by the largest commercial ships.

When was the last time a US aircraft carrier transited the Panama Canal?

What meaningful advantage, above and beyond the current arrangement, would derive from seizing the canal?
[Chaos Will. scorched earth against multipolarity and keeping all Latin American under the Monroe Boot by the demonstration of smashing little Panama against the Wall. It helps to see the real actor behind the scene as Zionazi International, using the ethos of Gaza. The orderly British Empire ethos is long gone..]
🔻 C3: Blocking transit route to “bad actors”. Impoverishing Panama. Intimidating LatAm.

“We are of the Anglo-Saxon race, and when the Anglo-Saxon wants a thing *he just takes it.*”
🔻 WS: So impeding international trade routes / supply chains is the strategy?

    Seems self-defeating to me.
🔻 C3: Simply having the ability increases power and prestige in the eyes of others.

Also, revival of Monroe Doctrine. LatAm exists to be carved up in a new Scramble for the Globe. The future is not multipolarity but bipolarity.

Comprador elites are drooling rn at potential profits.
🔻 WS: I don’t think you accurately perceive the degree to which US power projection capability has eroded over the past quarter century.

One thing is certain: Russia, China, and Iran would welcome the US turning its focus upon and spending its strength “reviving the Monroe Doctrine”.
[but they would still do it, as seen in Syria and Kursk. They will fight to retain each millimeter, if only to pump up their own shriveled gonads]
🔻 C4: Ask Syrians, Gazans, and Lebanese how power projection has been degraded.

“Axis of Resistance” is dead and Iran is next.

Apart from nukes, US is dominant in space, ISR, IT, culture, and most importantly- chutzpah.

“We will coup whoever we want – deal with it”
[thank you for succinctly framing the supranational nazi mentality]
🔻 Chris Close: Not letting the Chinese gain regional influence over a major choke point for the US.

    That is more than enough.
🔻 WS: What do you suppose the Chinese would do in the event they gained “regional influence” by virtue of having built anew or greatly improved a cross-continent canal?

And how would their actions harm the interests of the United States?
🔻 Chris Close: It is not correct to frame this in the future tense Will.

They currently operate the ports on both sides of the canal.

That alone should be enough of a reason.

If I was China and was going to war, destroying the ports/canal locks etc. irreparably would be on my list.
🔻 WS: What Chinese interests would be served by irreparably destroying the Panama Canal?
    🔻 Chris Close: Pre war?
🔻 WS: I do not believe the US will attempt to fight a war against China that it cannot possibly win. Therefore the only logical move is to cede the western Pacific to China’s irresistible sphere of dominance.

This is what happens when hegemony necessarily yields to mean reversion.
[yielding is not in the lexicon of the Last Satanic Empire. First must come the Ashes]
🔻 Chris Close: That is complicated and I am not sure what I think about that.

I definitely see, understand, and feel drawn to the point you are making.

But it is outside the scope of the Panama Canal discussion.
🔻 WS: All I can say about the Panama Canal is that its future prospects as an important trade node are almost certain to be enhanced by Chinese investment and development, and conversely almost certain to be degraded by current generation American investment and development.
🔻 Chris Close: I agree with that whole heartedly Will. Especially given where we have chosen to waste our funds.

The risk out weighs the rewards in my estimation.

The best outcome is to remove Chinese influence and do the work correctly ourselves?
    [LOL. Hope dies last]
🔻 Chris Close: Currently that seems to be true. I believe that will be changing with the new admin if past is prolog.

That is still no reason to allow China to have unfettered access to part of our jugular.
🔻 WS: “Unfettered access” is a nebulous term. And I don’t believe the Panama Canal represents the “jugular” of the United States.

In any case, if the US wants to spend its strength on “reviving the Monroe Doctrine”, Russia, China, and Iran will view that turn of events very favorably.
🔻 Chris Close: Unfettered = easy for saboteurs to destroy the ports, locks, etc.

70++ (72?) percent of the traffic through the Panama Canal is heading from our to US ports.

Not sure they will have a choice or voice in the matter. Or if that is the direction we are headed.
🔻 WS: My sense of the matter is that it would be entirely out of character for the Chinese to wantonly sabotage the Panama Canal — unless the US did something really bad to them in the first place.

In my view, both China and Russia are predisposed to deal fairly with the US as EQUALS.
🔻 C6: Not everything is about the Military
🔻 WS: Yes. Precisely my point.
    🔻 C7: Confronting China in Panama ? |link|
🔻 WS: The US-built Panama Canal was a boon for global commerce and prosperity. The whole world profited from it for a century.

The world now needs a new one, and no one but the Chinese are capable of such an undertaking. Why should they not be encouraged to make it happen?
[the West viscerally needs to keep its position, and to keep All Others down]
🔻 C8: It is all about emotional jealousy that Chyna de facto controls it today.
🔻 Wonderer LLama, PhD: Nobody cares about Panama.

China just got a port in Peru and they will build a road to Brazil’s coast.
🔻 C8: China has a lot going on in Panama.
🔻 Wonderer LLama, PhD: This is why USA wants to take back the old Canal
🔻 C8: It comes across as nothing but pure jealousy.
[with a healthy dollop of honeyed Malice]
🔻 Wonderer LLama, PhD: Not jealousy, USA just found out the Empire is dead and instead of rebuilding America, they prefer to start more wars.
🔻 WS: The sad truth is that the US circa 2025 could not build a Panama Canal if you gave them 25 years and 25 trillion dollars to do it.

But 2025 China could do such a thing — better, faster, and cheaper than anyone else.

    And everyone would benefit.

So why not let them try?
[Why is during the western retreat through Novorossiya that every Russian city about to be liberated is torched and its civilians executed? And every arab that doesn’t kneel in West Asia incinerated and left with a landscape making Hiroshima 1945 look built-up? Why ask why? Just drink…]
🔻 C10: When was the Monroe Doctrine ever abandoned?
🔻 WS: Almost immediately after its entirely misunderstood invention.

The so-called “Monroe Doctrine” was entirely predicated on the principle of the United States not interfering in nations OUTSIDE the Americas.
[this is true, with the US Navy being sent to north African Barbary coast, etc.. However since Teddy Roosevelt, and open expansion outwards in last decade of 19th century, it came to mean of non-Americans’ intrusion into “US Affairs” in Latin America.. their sole prerogative over the banana republics “liberated into Demokracy and Freeum” from the decomposing Iberian empires]

    🔻 WS: Low-hanging fruit.

Certainly a better option than invading Mexico, as many people are enthusiastically promoting.

⭕ By the way, Elon Musk is literally the textbook definition of a crypto-Jew.
⭕ — ❗️🇺🇸/🇩🇪/🇸🇦 RIDICULOUS: Elon Musk, CEO of X, now claims that ex-Muslim Far-Right Atheist terrorist Taleb Al Abdulmohsen actually WAS a Muslim, citing Maral Salmassi, a Germany-based Iranian ultra-Zionist

Salmassi claims that Taleb Al Abdulmohsen was LYING, and that ALL of his Tweets against Islam & pro-Israel were actually done under the Shia Islamic practice of Taqiyyah, in order to secretly ‘advance Islamic interests’, which is simply laughable.

Not only does this imply that Taleb Al Abdulmohsen was planning this terrorist attack for years upon years, which is extremely unlikely due to the erratic nature of his Tweets, it also completely disregards the reality of the concept of Taqiyya in Shia Islam.

Taqiyyah in Shia Islam is not ‘lying and deception to advance Islamic objectives’, it is the act of concealing one’s true faith or beliefs when under threat of death or under severe persecution. For example, if ISIS asks: ‘Are you Shia Muslim?’, you are allowed to lie and say no, in order to protect your own life. It does NOT permit lying to ‘advance Islamic goals’ or anything else. Besides, when has a Shia Muslim ever comitted a terrorist attack in Germany? The whole narrative makes zero sense.

Elon Musk claims the legacy press is ‘pure propaganda’, while he HIMSELF deleted the account of the terrorist in order to wipe his pro-Israel, pro-Elon Musk & anti-Islamic track record. And he HIMSELF vigorously promotes only the Jewish-backed narrative on X, while discounting any real criticism.

If Elon Musk cared about the truth, why does he not amplify unbiased accounts on X? Why is it always ultra-Zionist bootlickers, who clearly have a horse in the race and have a vested interest in pushing a certain narrative? For God’s sake, not only is Maral Salmassi a pro-Israeli Iranian diaspora, she’s not even an academic at the very least! She made her career as a musician & is now an anti-Islamic activist. Where is the bare minimum credibility?

Every day, Elon Musk reveals his true nature more and more. If X really supported free speech and independent analysis, they would not have banned Taleb Al Abdulmohsen’s original account & wiped all of the dozens of messages where he openly and clearly supported the AfD, Israel, and other Far-Right causes, including calling Judaism the ‘religion of God’.
⭕ — 🇺🇸/🇬🇱 NEW: President Donald Trump says the United States considers the ‘ownership and control of Greenland’ to be an ‘absolute necessity’ for maintaining ‘national security’ and ‘freedom throughout the world’

The statement comes days after Trump addressed Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada with ‘Governor’, calling Canada the 51st State of the US, and after tweeting ‘We’ll see about that!’ in response to the President of Panama saying that every inch of the Panama Canal belongs to Panama & tweeting ‘Welcome to the United States Canal!’, posting a picture of the American flag inside the Panama Canal.

Trump is also allegedly considering invading Mexico, at least in private, in order to combat the drug cartels on the U.S. border.
⭕ — 🇺🇸/🇵🇦 NEW: Following U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s statement suggesting that the Panama canal should return to the US, the President of Panama released a video in response stating that ‘every square meter of the canal and its area belongs to Panama.’
[Wouldn’t wanna be in his shoes, with the barbarians bellowing and baring their bloated breasts at the gates!]
⭕ NEW: U.S. intelligence estimates that Iran is preparing to carry out a ‘significant attack’ against Israel before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump

On the one hand, Iran’s Supreme Leader has repeatedly stressed the need to retaliate for the Israeli attack on Iranian territory which killed 4 air defense personnel back in October. In addition to this, the Iranian leadership reportedly considers the risk of another Israeli attack to be ‘high’, especially after the ceasefire in Lebanon. Israel has openly said it will take the battle to Iran.

According to one high-ranking U.S. official, Iran is ‘probably willing to take preemptive measures’, both in order to carry out its promised retaliation and to preempt any possible upcoming Israeli attack.

The Iranian military leadership and political echelon, according to the U.S. official, has now concluded that only a more aggressive and proactive posture will sufficiently deter Israel, and is willing to carry out a large scale attack ‘even if it leads to war’.
