It was a surreal moment to listen to the UK envoy to the UNSC condemn the attack while they are part of the attack against Yemen. These people lie like you and I breathe. The call was for an immediate return to the ceasefire. It was also surreal to be almost present in the room where Presidents Putin and Trump talk about peace in Ukraine, but I know that the Israelis are killing everything that moves in Gaza and a few other points as well.

Hamas says Israel assassinated 5 senior officials along with their families in Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced the successful targeting of Israel’s Nevatim Airbase, from which the attacks on Gaza are being carried out, using a hypersonic ballistic missile named “Palestine-2.” They vow to continue.

American officials have accused Iran of providing intelligence and logistical support to Yemen’s forces, assisting their highly effective attacks on US, Israeli, and allied shipping.
• Expanded US engagement: Fifth Fleet is now prepared for prolonged military action, including preemptive strikes, maritime blockades, and increased direct confrontation with Yemeni forces.
  Heightened naval warfare: Expect more interceptions, airstrikes, and retaliatory drone/missile attacks on US warships and bases in the region.
  Escalation with Iran? This move suggests the US is preparing for a broader military confrontation that could involve direct attacks on Iranian-linked assets if tensions continue to rise.

Threatening Iran and Yemen, starving and killing Palestinians, and accepting a hot war over the borders of Syria and Lebanon must not be important for ‘peace.’

How is it going in Kursk and the rest of the front line since the western forces have refused to do the wise thing for the world and  surrender?

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the operation to neutralise AFU formations on the territory of Kursk region.  Over the course of the day, the AFU losses were over 220 troops, one tank, two armoured personnel carriers, one armoured fighting vehicle, five motor vehicles, three artillery guns, and one UAV command post.  Some very rough math: if there were 10,000 soldiers in the Kursk encirclement, at this daily rate, it would take +-45 days for the cleanup to be complete – of course this is not a linear process but it gives a rough plus-minus idea.  In the meantime, the Special Military Operation continues.

The attack on Yemen shows that there is no surrender to the warmaking.  Again we will see more proxy wars and more regional wars.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has opted out to travel to Brussels for a summit marking the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations.  Two sources stated that instead of the country’s leader, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang would represent Beijing at the summit.

Time for popcorn. All the major announcements of the past week have happened and now we wait. Something has to give as the tensions in the world are sky high. The socalled ceasefire is not the only happening in the US. There is major suppression of all and everyone happening.

The Trump administration is reportedly weighing a major expansion of travel restrictions, potentially affecting citizens from 43 countries, according to The New York Times. It is the NYT, but the information is real and there are more on this list.

– Deliveries of weapons and ISR to Ukraine that were on hold is now opened up and the US is supplying Ukraine with longer range and other weapons. (How these people who are belligerents and participants to the conflict can even think they can run a peace effort blows my mind – No wonder Mr Putin started his comments on this peace effort with listing the BRICS countries. They are not participants to the conflict and more suitable as peace envoys).
– There are further sanctions on Russia on petrochemicals. If you have the details, kindly pop them in the comments.
– The word for Greenland now is annex. He might annex Greenland. (That word usually indicates some military coercion).
– For the Panama Canal, the US military has been tasked to look for a military solution to take the Panama Canal.
– Trump still wants Canada. (And of course Ukraine as well. What else is the agreement on rare earths all about?)
– There is a booze fight with the EU. Trump will put 200% tariffs on European booze.

I call this attempt at diplomacy one of teenagers.  Andrei Maryanov goes a step further and he calls it kindergarten.

Peskov said Thursday is the day contacts between the Russian side and the Americans are planned. He noted that the Kremlin will inform in due course if Putin receives Witkoff personally. (The media is speculating whether it is really Witkoff on the plane that landed.)
