WOW, we had six stickies on our front page at one stage over the past 4 days or so.  But. structurally we are back to normal, except that the final interview from Putin to the Russian press is outstanding.  It will be complete soon and we will post it up.

I do believe we are just going to get more busy as the world enters its multipolar path.  So, I’ve started a Telegram chat group, but still have some technical fiddly to complete.  There are many reasons for this, we can run polls, we can create topics and people are hesitant these days to give their information to a website to comment, and the Telegram infrastructure is just so easy.  This piece works I think:

When I’m all done with that, I’ll announce it.  But first, a rest after the ICJ and after Putin and Xi Jinping’s summit.  If all goes well, I’ll take this afternoon off.

Today South Africa and those who joined them will urge the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to order Israel to halt its Rafah offensive as part of further emergency actions in response to the war in Gaza.  It won’t do a thing.  I’ve read through the paperwork and Israel has not carried out even one of the suggestions? of this court.  They just lie more to pretend that they do.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says that Washington “anticipated” the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Kharkov.

Aha! That would be their secret then to Rock in the Free World.

According to the RuMOD, it is a little more difficult.   This is supported by a short note from Resistance News Network, as follows:  “In a joint operation between the Al-Qassam Brigades and Saraya Al-Quds, our fighters clashed with a special zionist force at the Abu Zeitoun junction in Jabalia camp, in the northern Gaza Strip, leaving its members between dead and wounded.”

I did laugh at that apt description but I could not find any rocking in the free world as Blinken advocates from a war zone where he just suggested that more Ukrainians get conscripted because the West is too full of themselves to simply acknowledge they’ve lost and big time with incredible hurt and harm to others.   More and more European voices rise though.  Is it already a trend?  I don’t know.  The shooting of Robert Fico was a shocking wakeup call.

Update:  It is impossible to get a clear idea about the health status of Prime Minister Robert Fico.  There are different reports quite everywhere.  So, we wait.

Slovak Prime Minister Fico Injured in Shooting at Gov’t Field Meeting.  This boils down to: Earlier, the government of Slovakia decided to focus on humanitarian aid and no longer send weapons to Ukraine.  Note with the fall of the empire we will see open and undisguised killings and attempts at killing and probably more kidnappings or ‘leadernappings’ will surface again. (Somebody should hide the current-day depiction of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.)

Going through the early commentary, everyone understands what this means – a physical-political battle and to say anything about the Ukraine is now canceled, nicht erlaubt, not allowed.

We may not have any confidence in this body but it adds to the overall pressure on Israel. Did you see the threats from the US to sanction the staff? Truly slavering mad dog ugly, those senators. The overall level of threats emanating from the west are more and more expressing the desperation of a total failure and the increasingly dawning knowledge of their failure. You’ve lost suckers!

A site growth request:  Stressing that this is still in an investigative phase.  No decisions have been taken and AHH and I are chatting still.  I am contemplating starting a Telegram channel for comments.  The structure has been set up so that we could expand with a 2d channel underneath the current one.    So, what I roughly envisage is that we have a third person helping out, and the new channel is somewhat like the Hearty Salon but also with marked differences.  Our information load over the next number of years will only grow bigger.    There are reasons for the structure, of course, that can be discussed.  Does anyone want to join up and manage our new telegram channel?

UN’s International Court of Justice (ICJ) announced that hearings will be held on Thursday and Friday to discuss South Africa’s request for new emergency measures against Israel concerning its attacks on Rafah and committing acts of genocide against Palestine.

Putin’s state visit at the invitation of the Chinese leader is scheduled for May 16 and 17 (Thursday and Friday). During the summit, the two leaders “will discuss in detail the entire range of issues of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction” between Moscow and Beijing, as well as determine key directions for the further development of Russian-Chinese ties.

Putin and Xi will also discuss the “most pressing international and regional issues,” the Kremlin added. The leaders are expected to sign a joint statement and a number of bilateral documents, the announcement said, without giving further details.

The Russian leader will also hold talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, the second-highest ranking official in the country. The meeting will focus on bilateral trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Wang Wenbin welcomed the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)’s resolution to urge the Security Council to reconsider Palestine’s bid for full membership at the world body during a press briefing in Beijing on Monday.

The spokesperson said the latest resolution gives Palestinians ‘new rights and privileges’ and ‘reflects the will of the international community.’

“These special arrangements are a remedy for the long-standing historical injustice suffered by Palestine,” he added. “And a correction for the abuse of veto power by the United States. The resolution makes it clear that the relevant arrangements are exceptions and do not constitute a precedent.”

Libya has filed a declaration of intervention at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, joining South Africa in its genocide case against the Israeli regime.

The Libyan Presidential Council announced last week that it had joined the case of South Africa and Israel, now underway in the UN’s principal court.

Libya filed the declaration of intervention concerning the Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Update: Now it is the Maldives.

The Maldives says it will officially join South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), as the regime continues its genocidal aggression against 1.5 million people sheltering in Rafah, in southern Gaza.

In a statement on Monday, the government of Maldives “declared its intention to intervene in the case filed by South Africa against Israel at the ICJ.”

“The Government of Maldives is resolute in guaranteeing a lasting solution to the long suffering endured by the Palestinian people by any means necessary.”

Maldives also strongly condemned “the ongoing attacks on Rafah by Israel, which have led to an exacerbation of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza,” the statement reads.

It said that the continuation of military aggression by Israeli occupying forces against innocent Palestinian civilians is a rampant breach of international human rights and humanitarian law.

One thing, the world is busy – those that are involved in  building multi-polarity are fully occupied.

Israel is in deeper doodoo daily now with Egypt’s announcement that they will be joining South Africa in their case brought against Israel at the ICJ.   Israel is also being hassled at all international fora with organizers admitting that they are simply hassling.  It is a total onslaught and we will take a look at all the hassling action in the next day or so.  How will we state it if the world puts Israel in its place (hassling, world wide protest, people and street action, spontaneous groups forming and protesting one issue that they feel strong about, becoming really knowledgeable about their issue – see Blockout2024; TikTok’s Movement Against Celebrity Indifference) while the leaders cannot withstand something like a veto?

Iran  is voluble:  example ‘🔺 According to Mohamad Sweidan, Netanyahu’s reluctance to engage in negotiations with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas stems from his failure to deliver on past promises, which now jeopardizes his political career.’

With Russia on the offensive, the Ukraine is very busy as well.  There is some fog of war and that should lift today  into tomorrow.  In the meantime, and with the Russian very senior staff changes, I stick to what the Russian mod says.

Of course a note from FM Lavrov is most welcome.  He stated this morning that if the West wants to conclude the Ukraine war on the battlefield, Russia will do it on the battlefield.
