Drowing in videos
The end of this year seems to be the end of the world for some. The number of videos, commentaries, and outright sorrow about Europe, for one, is unbelievable. I’ll do a Trumper – We’ve never seen anything like this before. We are overwhelmed by commentary, sometimes just because all the talking heads nowadays believe their words are indispensable to the public domain. These folks (I’m talking alt media or free media mainly) are now convinced that most of the rest of us cannot survive without their specific style of truthtelling. Then we have some that are just so good!
A dark, unhealthy competition is also evident, particularly on Substack, where self-promotion can be deceitful. It may be a result of economic constraints and a desperate grasp for the last little bit of money that supporters can be squeezed for. In our sphere, most work historically was open source and could be used. Serious work now is to be paid for, at rates that I last saw when I was a highly paid consultant. YouTube stardom is going to people’s heads. On Telegram, the friendly notes of ‘see the content of our friends on their channel’ are pure advertising.
At sovereignista.com, we’re somehow still making it and are fully open source. How long this can last, I don’t know, as I know we are gifted with donations from people who are already feeling the pinch. Each time I look at our donations, gratitude lights up, and it overwhelms everything else.
On freewheeling Hearty Salon, we are gifted with content, context, and sharp, clever commentary from people who have been around watching for years. According to our statistics, everybody reads the Daily Chronicles. We hope we can keep this all on a donation basis, but for the new year, a merchandise store is in the planning stages, and some work has already been done. If the end of the year is kind, and the noise subsides somewhat. I believe that I can squeeze out some time to work on this.
Today is our Jewel’s birthday. I am genuinely still so content, and even if we have nothing to do, just the fact that he stands behind us allows me to relax on the technical side. How lucky could we be to find Jewel, or did he find us? Or was it a plan of the universe to make two streams come together?
Sovereignista is growing. I just checked the statistics, and we’re easily reaching over a million readers per month now. Not bad for a little site that was supposed to be commentary on BRICS and SCO and a new dispensation in our world. Soon, we were drawn into the desperate, hegemonic fight to maintain relevance and had to show our roots as committed to resistance. Only yesterday I had a request from readers out of .. mmm, don’t want to mention the country .. one of the civilizational countries, to help out with a small technical problem. There are no more countries in the world that do not feature in the statistics. They are all there. Thanks go to the commentators!
These are only a few thoughts, and it was planned as a quick run-around-the-world. It became a runaround on our site, and everyone who reads it. We received a lovely compliment just a few hours ago from someone I deeply respect, saying, “You’re kickin’ ass.”
Our person of the year will be out soon. Last year, it was Francesca Albanese, and she is a tower of resistance. If you have a recommendation, please add it to the comments. This is not an end-of-the-year post. It just kinda turned this way, as gratefulness is my personal bulwark against the noise. But wait, my requests for end-of-the-year or Christmas gifts are coming. 😊
Sovereignista is a powerhouse of information overall. It’s a sharp fine tune that cuts through the noise, a light beam darting out of the shadows to contribute for the guiding of those who refuse to consent, who reject conformity and resist the full spectrum advances of the empire.
Thank you✊🏼
I hear ya Amarynth … and would add that AI has enabled some to steal videos of established analysts and reproduce… and the ‘clickbait’ – no words. Thankfully this site is grounded … I find comfort here… blessings on all who make it so. … and Happy Birthday to dear… Read more »
