Ray omits the obvious. Charitably, by his omission he avoids opening a very smelly can o’ worms. Also charitably I assume he does this for rhetorical avoidance of cognitive dissonance. I wonder if he now regrets this. I wonder too if for similar reasons RT does much the same thing.
