Sal the Happy Sailor has a long interesting paper on the Vietnam Logistical affairs. I just began reading it. Not bad! (so far)

consisting of 88 pounds of C4 and TNT, detonated
along the starboard side at the waterline and just aft

Raymond Arbon, a merchant mariner from New

I see failures attributed to “induced atmospheric vibration”. Kindly use that as a searchterm.
So far as I can see there exists no scientific paper on such a topic. In electronic warfare it might exist in some technical paper that’s classified. The term seems meaningless, as induced atmospheric vibration is what we do when we speak…or the dogs bark.

Well, now that blood’s been spent, the reciprocal obligation is cemented and assured, credible …so let no one doubt that an attack on the DPRK would bring Russia to the fight. The logistic reality is awesome. So is the military capacity. Checkmate for the nazi gang.

ParticipantYes, but I think (ref my Oxford Duden German dictionary) in the sense of a seer or in some supernatural way…most often, imho, a confidence man or woman…especially if he or she is a self-promoter, as this Siener guy obviously is. The Schweitzer stuff rings a distant bell in memory. Some time I must have read it. Odious and stupid. In school Schweitzer was treated hagiographically, and so I at the time was suspicious. I must have visited the library and looked Schweitzer up – and there read his idiotic prejudices. The lies and prejudices tell truths when dissolved by doubt. I guess I’m glad to know the character of Herr Siener, and now I’ll try to forget him! (And Schweitzer too!) Siener was not on my vocabulary list. I don’t quite know why, but German is a tongue that amuses me, and I’m having fun re-learning school-boy forgotten Kraut and getting fairly good at composing it in keeping my commonplace book. There are books too, which I want to read. I think I read it about as well as Father did at 50…ie not very well, but it’s getting easier. Now I must jot down a note there about the schrecklich Siener. In related languages, Afrikaans, maybe, it, siener, may have a literal meaning, such as a fella on lookout or something like that, I don’t know. The Siener van Rensburg, the Boer, wiki says, was born in 1864 and died in 1926… So it seems that the guy with the web page is someone else. Maybe a relation, maybe not. Some sort of promoter. I have looked and found nothing on the living person… Anyway now our lurking friends know lots about the guy, and so do we.

ParticipantI did not know of this fellow, and had no idea that he espoused racist ideas. His claim about the dead French fellas however seems reasonable. My hunch is that Russian intelligence in zone 404 is very good, and that in order to discourage European fascists from sending large numbers of their soldiers to the zone, it’s Policy is to eliminate the small numbers as fast as is practicable, especially officers and specialists, thus minimizing the possibilities of political complications.

I am recalling the German policy along such lines…
