ParticipantIt may turn out that 2025 was the year that Deagel met its projection perfectly – but the actual visible result result trickled in over a few more years, as it took some time for the ruined DNA to produce chronic disease leading toย death. But the kill shot by then had irreversibly hit its targets, and done its work.
Alternately, this may not happen. There is often a resilience in human affairs that doesn’t come directly from us but from our creation, the product of a sane and benevolent system.

ParticipantI’ve taken to loading the Apocalypse thread first thing when I come to Global South. Then in other tabs I read the latest on the site. When I turn to the Salon the Apocalypse thread is loaded. I like the X embeds, personally. And the workaround of preloading the page before I’m ready to read it seems to work.
I would hate to see any reduction in content in this thread, and I would also hate to put more work on you, AHH.
Amarynth, the whole page takes the loading, not just the individual posts. So, less embeds per each post and more posts equates to the same load.
If reduction is the goal, it seems that shorter, and more frequent, threads would be the answer – depending on the work to start a new thread.

ParticipantI love that book too. After Eru had made the world round, navigators were sent out from Middle Earth to attempt to reach the Blessed Realm, but the old way, which had been straight, was no longer.
(Except for the remaining ships at the Grey Havens, moored at rest waiting for the last peoples to depart for the the West – and when Frodo sets sail with the company, at the end of his adventure, they journey for a while until the curved world drops away and the route continues straight. And after a time, he hears distant singing.)
The navigators sailed all the seas of the world and sought the way to the West, but it was no longer. I was always struck by the poignancy of their words as they returned from their circumnavigations and reported, sadly, “All the roads are bent.”

ParticipantAlaska is a brilliant choice. Geography is everything with this one. Far away from the reach of drones from London and Kiev, an area far more under the control of the US and RF militaries than a big city would be. Security should be really tight. And for most people in the US, I think Alaska is far enough away it doesn’t at all feel like Putin actually coming into the US.
The Alaska Accords – if this happens and produces something – could form a nice historical pivot. One day the tunnel connecting the two continents could get built. Pipelines from Russia’s far east connecting to the US Alsakan pipelines. Imagine that. Lifting sanctions so that the US can buy Russia oil/gas – imagine that.

I’ve been waiting for Alex Krainer to parse all this, and to my great pleasure he’s paired with Harley Schlanger at Crypto Rich. Harley has the LaRouche viewpoint and Krainer has long held the high-altitude view on all of this, so the discussion is fascinating, even including the concept of Russia eventually taking back Constantinople, citing the Sheikh.
It’s a spiritual war, a spiritual renewal – say military strategists that Krainer talked to in eastern Europe.
And rule number one is beware of psy-ops because this place in time is heavily pregnant with them. Surface appearances cannot be trusted, and if one is willing to forego outrage at Trump for a bit, one might find the discussion valuable:

ParticipantAn excellent discussion at Danny’s place with Alex Krainer and Patrick Henningsen. I haven’t seen these two men together before, they discuss a lot of nuance, largely around the imperial system still out there killing everyone, and the one now trying to be born.
Silly title from Danny but lots of meat in this one:

ParticipantYes. Thank you.
And the article puts into words what we know: “The rules-based order is no longer rules-based โ it is power-based.
The world divides into countries that know this and countries that have not yet learned. Iran knows this. And it is reminding its neighbors and colleagues. One leads by example.

ParticipantDear AHH, it may well and truly be “slaughtering the golden goose”, but there is a thing called “price discovery”. This is what’s happening. It doesn’t say that the US is always winning, nor losing. Simply that chips will fall where they may, according only to reality, and not to rigged markets.
It is brutal reality, as you conceive.
No one in my camp ever said it wasn’t.
And your esteemed economists may be wrong. Personally I suspect they are – I think your esteemed economists are wrong. They conflate the foreign with the domestic, you do the same, and I say explicitly that this leads to a false conflation.
~~
Don’t think that the domestic lobby wants some perfect dream world of supremacy and profit. It only wants justice, which means the rule of law when laws are broken, and the fair price in markets that are not rigged. And all of this means only that we will see the truth of things, regardless of what those principles result in.
Sorry if it overlaps into the global world and especially the global south – but this was never the intent. This is the domestic USA trying to correct its orientation.
The globalist parasite sunk deep into its neck and draining blood doesn’t improve the optics, but there it is.
~~
ps…none of this means to soften the hatreds of the world for the USA, all of these grievances are truly earned. Nothing here is trying to mitigate or diminish the karma incurred through the savagery visited upon the innocent world by the western world .
Nothing I ever say is ever intended to rescue the western world from the gallows whose name is lovingly carved by destiny and justice.
Not trying to excuse. Just trying to describe.

ParticipantDr. Richard Werner is being interviewed by Tucker Carlson. I suspect many here don’t follow Carlson and may not know this. It’s heartening to see Prof. Werner get this kind of exposure.
I’ve only dipped into parts so far but it’s quite the romp, I suspect I’ll watch the whole thing, even with all of Carlson’s hideous commercials plastered throughout:

ParticipantDear emersonreturn, I have not speculated. The tariffs as they actually come to be applied seem not to create inflation – because no new money is being created – and for the most part the supply/manufacture end is absorbing the cost. Why? Because the US market actually is worth being in, and the US consumer has enough choice to switch if a price goes up, for the most part.
In other words, from what I can gather, the tariffs are a good idea and they’re working for the US – Medvedev is correct, Trump is grifting, always, but always for the USA.
So I suspect that a lot of people calling the tariffs a negative thing are actually wrong, even the esteemed authors here. And also, I should add that the tariffs and all this noise that is perceived as foreign policy – I don’t see it that way, I see it as domestic policy. And he has very sound thinking behind all his domestic policy (many people worked on it).
It happens to involve other countries but only incidentally. We shouldn’t conflate the two – the tariffs and all the extortion, these are not foreign policy, not part of empire.
~~
As to his Zionist hook, his foreign policy, that’s completely different – certainly it’s horrifying but I put that into a different place, because as I’ve said before, it was always going to be this way regardless of who’s president.
In your terms: empire continues while Trump effects domestic change – there’s a school of thought that says this is a deliberate trade-off, “I’ll front your manic empire thing, you let me do this domestic thing that the people voted for” (they didn’t actually vote for foreign policy – stopping wars was fiscal common sense, that’s all – it was always the domestic policy).
~~
So personally, I only study Trump on his domestic actions. As to what he says, I can only repeat what I’ve said all along – I don’t listen to any word he says, ever, not one. I wipe all accidental exposures out of my mind. I watch only what actually happens on the ground.
I offer this healing balm to all: don’t pay any attention to the words – not one, not ever. Don’t sacrifice any part of your happiness to nothingness, a sound and fury signifying nothing.
Watch results only.

ParticipantYes, agreed, this is what it is. Thank you for the words.

ParticipantIf anyone hears of the freeing of Laith Marouf please post it here. I’ve seen in several sources that the Lebanese authorities detained him at the border – latest is from Dmitri Lascaris 5 hours ago. Still detained, it seems.

ParticipantAnd when all is said and done, the history of the world will be written in measures of yolk, the nutritious value of eggs, and their price perhaps (although eggs are beyond price). Some of us eat real food, as real as we can get it at least, and the price works out cheaper after all, the better the cheaper.

Crimea – I know you know this and you allude to it, but the ultimate comment ever made on Crimea was from the Sheik (2 minutes):

ParticipantThank you, Amarynth, that’s a significant distinction.
Slowly at first, then all at once – and Russia must manage this collapse for its own ends – an additional complication, but a problem to have, for sure.
We are no longer watching the fall of Ukraine. We are watching the character of Russia as it holds itself back from giddiness, and pretends to be dour and stoic, all the while as the million flowers bloom.
This will be a thing to behold. Many thanks for your good eye ๐

ParticipantThank you, AHH. I read that carefully and I took it in.
Yes, the “salient points” are part of the message, for sure. One never looks to the messengers, only to the message.
As in, “I blow your face away in front of your wife.” As in, “I let you walk into the trap of making capital from what you will reveal, only to rob you of vastly more capital when I – publicly – forbid you to reveal it.”
~~
Where then does one turn? What then is meaningful to do?
Whatever the answer might be, as you say it only comes to those who help themselves.
~~
Just this morning, it occurred to me the enormity of the help I was asking for. And so be it, then. I began to pray for a miracle. A true miracle, outside of the physical laws.
Something, something, something…but from outside the trap. There is an entire universe that lies outside of this little trap we find ourselves in, and its radiation crosses the Van Allen and comes inside.
So anything is possible. One strives for anything that is possible. One strives, one truly does. And it is all possible, it truly is.
This is where we are. Oppressed, yes. But striving, yes.
So to all who strive, Salut!
