Good video, summarizing the local color to this point. The Junta offered ECOWAS to free Bazoum in return for rolling back sanctions. This is a wise move. The people are suffering.  He can still be kept in-country on house arrest for a while. And it may provide a face-saving mechanism for the ECOWAS hirelings to withdraw from aggression altogether, as freeing Bazoum was their first demand.

The lack of current US capacity, and distraction on other three fronts in Europe, East Asia, and Syria, and the arrival of Wagner, and the growing Nigerien civilian militias (~ 50,000 people recruited a few days ago, in the first tranche of several), and the growing dissolution of Nigerian army itself (!!), makes it more and more foolhardy for any invasion.
